Just smile nicely and say "no thanks". They aren't persistent.

can you please convert to Islam like I did.

That's new! As I recall, you were Ravidassia before...

I just tell them that I am an atheist and that they would be wasting their time.

@MoOli
Actually they are more inclusive, although it helps being born into that social group, as you were.

They would tell you that there is no such thing as an atheist.

Yes, are you jealous that you are not allowed to join?Trying to bait or just jealous of ones sexual preferences in life?

Yes, are you jealous that

No thanks, however Jehovah's Witness would probably be a good fit should you change. Often quite complex people.

They would tell you that there is no such thing as an atheist.

I would let them touch me to make sure it's not a dream. If that would not be compelling enough, I would ask them it they know about a single case of an amputee whose original arm was restored by a miracle. That always ends such conversations.

They would proceed to tell you about the miracle of when the soldier cut the ear clean off a dude with his sword and Jesus reconnected it in front of a crowd of people as witnesses.

That always ends such conversations.

It certainly did that day !

Name the last one that is recognized as such by the Vatican, as opposed to your private collection.

I just did Rich, sorry to have stymied you here on the Sabbath.
Maybe try some Bible Study classes to educate yourself on your private denials.

Many such miracles of healing.

He is the Great Physician with hands bigger than ours.
Without Him we can do nothing.
I think the J.W.'s would agree with that.
They just don't believe in Santa Claus or any holidays.

No real need to troll them at the door. Half of my family are JW's, and while I don't agree with their doctrine at all, they are complete pacifists, and they are really well meaning. They don't require tithing or spend unnecessarily on frivolous things, they help one another. Unfortunately, some of the darker things in their ideology is their "disfellowshipping," which is basically a sort of ex-communication. Whereby 'elders' decide if someone has done something they shouldn't have, and then no one can speak to them, including their own family. I remember being about 10 years old and my grandmom telling me I couldn't talk to my one cousin anymore. Even at that age, I said nah you people are off your rocker if you think I'm going to shun my cousin. Generally speaking though, they're extremely kind people, and they think that door to door thing is required by them to spread the word or something. I've always found that they leave without incident if asked politely. I also tend to be extra kind to them since I still have some family members practicing that faith so I'd be remiss to be totally rude to what I know to be really peace loving people. I saw them by the underground pass through last month in Bialystok with a stand and some pamphlets, so I guess in PL they don't do the door-to-door thing. I saw them doing the same thing near the metro when I was living in Ukraine.

I commend nice people. The question is: would they stop being nice if given an irrefutable proof that God is just a fictional story?

Here is a shocker for some of you: Atheism and generosity are not mutually exclusive. Further, I read about many cases where the scumbag tried to excuse himself for being a scumbag because, allegedly, God or Satan told him so. Not so with the atheists. Whom would I blame if I went stupid and murder somebody? Zeus? How about Venus?

Here is a shocker for some of you:

You're one of those people whom I call stupid clever i.e. their own cleverness make them stupid, mostly due to their ego.

By the way ever heard about a case when somebody believed himself so clever and as a such so above the rest of the human kind that he went and murder someone just to prove that he can get way with it. Didn't need a God or any other voices in his head telling him what to do to kill.

What people are using as an excuse is not even an issue. Atheists or Not, people are saying all kind of nonsense. It is the way they act in the world that tell us what they are. In this way majority of the Atheist crowd are just nerds with big egos running around like kids - saying Look at me, look at me I'm so clever and good and I don't need any superstations unlike you dumb believers.

All those is to it. In fact they still act as if they were Christians minus religious chores.

would they stop being nice if given an irrefutable proof that God is just a fictional story?

Isn't that a rhetorical question? An irrefutable proof that the God doesn't exist is just no happening.

Some people are just nice and if their niceness is reinforced by their beliefs so much is better. However that question makes no sense in a society and a civilization that had grown on Ch. foundation and is peppered with Ch. values. Even the very question you pose is so very Ch. that it is kind of funny. An sovereign individual is a very Ch. concept.

Your post is too painful to read for a number of reasons. It is written in haste and in anger. I will be happy to respond if you re-edit it to one point at a time and remove all personal and nasty comments. The day is still young.

Also, don't be lazy and use "Christian", not "Ch.". What's next? Je.?
