and a bit of a sissy, if it had been some big Polish dude i bet he wouldn't have been so quick to mouth off.

And on what do you base that?

It depends. If the woman serving is a young Polka and you look deep inside her decolte she usually smiles and asks for preferences to serve. If on the other hand the serving person is a babcia fuj,you will have a bad time.

A cracking thread by wildie :) It is often this way in offices. A woman was explaining a procedure to me and I think the only time she looked in my direction was when I was leaving. Again, I can't confirm that ;)

Try this combination:

you look deep inside decolte

of

babcia fuj

and you might get the best serving ever.

Pedestrians not stepping aside just even an inch are really plague in Poland. As if they own the pavement. And when you bump their shoulder because you have no space then they see you.

Weighing 103kgs really helps :) That's presence right there :)

Maybe Poland needs its own version of Syd Barrett (RIP) to give their own rendition of Jugband Blues. It's a classic intro :) The song is available on the first page of the thread.

Geez, they drift around like zombies sometimes. Here was me thinking that they didn't smoke stuff but how they appear to me at times leads me to a different conclusion. The level of communication in some places is appalling. Thankfully, Poles are mixed and varied (more so than they'd like to admit). One of the places I work at is super and they all acknowledge you.

I really see where Wildrover was coming from with this thread.

Well, the reassuring thing is that they do it to one another too. I love the 'do widzenia na odpie*dol się'. It's priceless.

Wildrover, you have to stare at them and make them feel really self-conscious. Non-stop gazing :) They'd still probably manage to ignore you in that case.

Any other stories on the thread, wildie? They make for great reading. If not, I could surely conjur up another from my past string of them.

Of course being invisible has its advantages...the Police very rarely stop me as they can,t be bothered to try and comunicate with me....

Unlike Ukraine where an English car attracts every money hungry Policeman for miles...

Yeah, that's the best scenario. I keep my Polish well hidden in such cases. Nie mówi po polskiemu (nie mówię po polsku) is usually enough to let them know how crap you are and how futile a discussion attempt will be.

When i was a truck driver in Poland i got away without paying a mandat for parking in the wrong place because i kept on isisting i did not know what mandat meant....

In the end i was told to fcuking move my car...no mandat....!
