There was the Polish crime writer who wrote about murders. And had committed them himself...

A 60-year-old priest attacked a 68-year-old man with an axe in a car during an argument over a real estate and then burned his body when he was still alive on the side of the road. He admitted to what he did:

That is effin' insane.... if you put that into a novel people wouldn't believe it.... I wonder if that's all that was involved.... an axe and burning alive suggests.... stronger and deeper feelings than mere real estate....

@mafketis, it could be, I guess, but it's also possible that this priest was simply a psychopath. Happens.

To be honest, not much can surprise me anymore...

There was a case (in 1953 in the UK) where a Polish RC priest was murdered possibly by another Polish RC priest. The Polish community in that city certainly blamed him for the murder. If the priest hadn't done it (I suspect he hadn't) then he certainly lured the other priest to his death.

One to write about in a few days when there's a bit more time.
