well it's a good thing you are talking about someone else, because I heard they have restored the Death Penalty for DUI.

Seriously though the court system is not the same as the UK or USA. And there is a zero tolerance on DUI. Probably a fine and points.

Being caught over the limit is an instant year's ban from driving and the licence revoked until you satisfy a psychologist that you aren't at danger of drinking and driving again. And a compulsory re-test.

Anyone seriously over the limit (such as 0.40) will be looking at jail time.

well a fine wont hurt him since he is a sliver spoon boy ,,, he would accept anything apart from serving time in jail :)

the guy just had a couple of glasses of wine ,, i really dont know how the test showed 0.45 ?

People who drink and drive deserve everything they get. I personally hopes he gets jail time.
Even if it is a couple of classes of wine. You still drive like a prick.

i really doubt that ,, here in poland i've seen sober people drive worse than drunk ones

It all depends on how big is your glass, if it can hold the contents of an entire bottle it means he had a couple of bottles not couple of glasses, perhaps your definition is screwed up? Devil’s in the details you know LOL.

Chyba z gwinta.

So, uh...what would he do if ordered to serve jail-time then?

The sooner the police crack down on every driver the better, I really do mean it.
Some drivers here think they own the road and do what they want.
I think you should be fined(Heavy fine, 500zl min) if you do the crime.

DUI, no insurance, banned, drugged or unsafe car i think you should have the book thrown at you.

I have been unlucky and seen two different accidents and two people killed.
One was an accident.
The other was someone drunk on the phone. He drove off. They were in the UK.

No-one should lose their life because of someone else.

They have their priorities way out of proportion - I have seen and know of more people breathalyzed on their bikes even when walking with their bikes.

This is Poland - you cannot influence things you cannot change.

if you don't like it you know what you can do.
