a baby that comes to us would not want for anything. he/she would have the best of everything

Presumably this would encompass your unconditional love and devotion too . . . . ?

So who's the mother? Did the kid have two fathers? (you and the one who died)? So which one of you men are the real father? Are you gay? Didn't know two males can produce a baby.

Sounds like a scam.

How many people got scammed by this?
Look under "adoption scams". The birthmother offering her baby for adoption, then asks for money for the plane ticket or diapers, then takes the money and you never see the baby.

This is a guy posting signing as a woman.
Be careful!!

Hey!

So random question if anyone can answer for me. My sisters and I (we are triplets) were adopted from Poland 17 years ago when we were 4 1/2 years old and we wanted to find out the name of the orphanage just for curiosity. We tried to look through all the papers/files that my parents got from Poland and I tried to get my Polish professor to translate and find out for me, but no luck. I know we were born in Mielec (I think that is how it is spelled) but we were adopted out of Krakow. So my random question is, are there adoption agencies or orphanages that are or were in Krakow and if so what are/is the name(s)?

Thank You!

We want to adopt children from Poland

My wife and I are from the States, living in Germany as part of my work assigment. My grandma was 100% Polish, so Poland is part of my heritage. We want to adopt siblings from Poland, but are having a hard time finding an adoption agency to work with.

Anyone know of any good adoption agencies to work with?

The only agencies which deal with foreign adoptions are in Warsaw:

W Polsce adopcją zagraniczną prowadzą trzy ośrodki w Warszawie:
1. Publiczny Ośrodek Adopcyjno - Opiekuńczy: 02-018 Warszawa, ul. Nowogrodzka 75, tel. +48 22 621 10 75, 622 03 70 - 72.

2. Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Dzieci: Krajowy Ośrodek Adopcyjno - Opiekuńczy, 00-068 Warszawa, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 6, tel. +48 22 435 46 77, 435 46 88.

3. Katolicki Ośrodek Adopcyjno - Opiekuńczy, 04-357 Warszawa, ul. Grochowska 194/196, tel. +48 22 610 61 23.

adoptuj.pl/11121.xml?group=po_adopcji&seealso=inne&right=po_adopcji&left=przed_adopcja

But, if you want to adopt babies, forget it. There are too many Polish people who are waiting for adoption. Cases of baby foreign adoption don`t happen in Poland.

Not only some rich Americans think of the African children as "dogs" but also of the Russian children. I've heard of a couple who have adopted Russian children, already in USA, because the original adopted parents didn't want them. They told a priest that the children were not what they've expected. I saw those two beautiful, blue eyed children, blond haired and they are the sweetest children I've ever seen. They are about 5 and 6 years old and have no medical problems. The new adopted parents are Polish-Americans.

you are generalizing. My sister adopted two children from Russia, a friend adopted a 4 year old girl from Russia and many, many others and they do not think of them as "dogs". Come on, where do you get that?

Hi Krysia,

I have had two miscarriages so far and the doctors aren't very optimistic about me becoming a baby. My husband and I are seriously thinking about adopting a baby or maybe siblings and considering adoption from Poland, since I'm 100% Polish =)

You seem to know alot about adoptions from Poland, could you contact me via email at if you have time. I would love to get some of your inside knowledge if possible.

Thanks a lot!!!!

Hi Krysia,

My boyfriend and I are planning to adopt when we are ready to have children. Right now we are entering grad school but I like to plan ahead. I have always wanted to adopt either instead or in addition to physically having children myself. Originally I was drawn to the Ukraine because I am of Ukrainian descent. However, I keep reading really terrible stories about adopting from there and am looking into other options. Four years ago we took a winter trip and used a rail pass to visit 5 countries including Poland and absolutely loved it! Specifically we went to Krakow and Zakopane. It was so beautiful and made such an impression on us that we are considering getting married there. Do you know if there are orphanages in the Tatra region? That area was so beautiful and sentimental that we would love an additional reason to go there regularly. ;)

Because this is so far in advance, do you have any advice for us? I assume, learning Polish is probably a good start. Is there anything else we could do that would be helpful? This won't happen until the timing is right on our end so we literally have years to prepare.

Thank you so much for all your advice on this forum.

I read that before international adoption is a choice for a child they look everywhere in Poland for polish parents - doesn't that make international adoption very difficult?

I am ready to adopt an older child but i do not want to wait forever (while the child gets older and bonding might become even more difficult etc.)

Do you know if there are orphanages in the Tatra region?

There used to be a place where Belarussian children used to go for respite breaks , to get away from the unhealthy areas affected by the Chernobyl accident....

Many of these childern were without parents , but i think its a bit more difficult to adapt children from Belarus...

I have taken aid to Belarus , and there is a large number of children in need of care from parents..which they have little hope of getting....

A friend of mine adopted a 2 year old child 3 years ago. Mother and kid are doing just fine. The problem is the 16 year-old son, who got overlooked in the whole process and is trying hard to "find himself".

Hi
i am English and my husband is 100% polish i have spent over 20 thousand pounds on I.V.F in England.I had 2 ectopic pregnancies which is why i can not fall pregnant naturally.

I believe my child (natural Or Adopted ) should know his/her nationality, hence why i would like to offer a child a loving caring stress free home from Poland to Uk.

Not to just fulfil my desire of becoming a mum but to help a child have the best start in life, and i believe it is only fair my husband has the right to adopt a polish child so the child remains with his/her roots but also learns English.

I have had many heartbreaks concerning trying to become a mum and much money spent on trying where as if it wasn't so hard to adopt all that heartache could have been avoided.

And there would be less children in care homes. It is just as hard to adopt in UK.
If you can give me any advice to help me adopt as soon as possible as my arms ache so much to have a child to love and hug.

Thank you

Use a private channels; official way will get you nowhere. You have to complete the social study first, then apply in Poland. You can't be older than 40 yo and need to have Polish connection (having a Polish husband will fulfill that requirement). My advise: forget that idea, too frustrating and expensive.
