sometimes the truth is painful, though hardly boring

Who is talking about the truth? I said I quote here " Your bigotry is boring me", end of quote. I have asked you for facts ( how many times already? six, ten ..I have lost the count), your never delivered. You're all talk.

ignorance

Indeed Lyzko that is your second name.

Xenophobia is unfortunately very common and Poland is no exception.

Exception in what way?
You're seems to be some kind of misguided idealist who is looking for a lost paradise or perfection. I never said that in Poland there're xenophobes but that is relatively negligent number of those, there are more racist and I think that no less than in any other country. However when it comes to xenophobia Poland is one of these places that scores very low in that regard. That is a fact. One you're evidently not bale to deal with for some reason.

yahoo/news/poland-no-country-men-063205414.html

So, that one is about refuges that are shopping for a country that would give them more money than Poland. That is actually against the international law. What is that suppose to be? Man your idiocy start to irritate me.

What economy has to do with xenophobia?

euobserver.com/beyond-brussels/134447

You're obsessed with those illegal immigrants shopping for a country with better welfare system. What is has to do with anything? They don't want to came to Poland. Poland has no economy to support some demanding alleged refugees. On the top of it Poland doesn't need Muslims and terrorist.

From the article you presented:
Families have access to doctors, psychologists, Polish language classes, and children's activities. "We have good relations with neighbours, our ladies are often invited to the Cafe Sasiad," a community coffee set up by residents of Targowek, said Tatiana Kostina, who works at the refugee facility.

Migrants are going to England or Scandinavia to live on social welfare payments. They are only interested in money. We Poles are a Christian nation. There is no reason to build mosques here", an elderly Polish man,

Ain't that right for the majority of them?
You seems to have no understanding of the term - xenophobia.

Quick search on Google:

Oh, so all you could find was some drunken youths from 1991, that were throwing bottles on a synagogue in Warsaw for a reason unknown and second an arson attack in 1997. OK, you found two examples for almost 30 years? It doesn't negate what I have said.

Nothing compared to what's going on in western Europe at the moment.

I see you're adamant to talk about those so called refugees. I have been talking about state of affairs in western Europe BEFERE it that.

If you want to know opinion problem of so called refuges has nothing to do with xenophobia, racist or any other term. Its about common sense and simple reality. Those people should be selected and deported to the countries of their origin. Those with Syrian origin should be keep in camps until war in Syria come to the end. To do that, Syrian legal government should be supported. At lest half the cost of all those operation to Syria should be shared by Clintons and Democratic Party. The other half France, Italy, GB and Germany.

That would be fair for their meddling into the middles east and north Africa.

Most Chechens didn't stay long enough to upset the Polish locals

That is your conclusion and opinion. Fact is that there weren't anti-Chechen attitude permeating most of the society. Those were genuine refugees.
In the last 16 months Poland issues million 100 000 visas for Ukrainians, regardless of the fact that Poles has historical issues with (at least part) Ukrainians of a serious nature. There were no serious anti-Ukraine sentiments.

Whereas France has been historical about "Polish hydraulic", The Dutch got their issues too and in the uk their have been howling at the moon even though 75% of immigrants came from outside the EU. Hell, that was the main reason they voted leave.

The proof is in the pudding and you are grasping at straws or rather you want to impose your progressive ideology. .

Why so defensive, Ironside?? As the Bard's oft quoted statement reads: "Methinks he PROTESTETH too much."

Yep, keep talking, that all you got. Calling me ignorant, fool, stupid. Listen man, those insult might get you somewhere in the ghetto. You have no facts to support your ignorant talk. You're done.

Once more, I invite you to read, among others (of which I'm certain there must be a Polish translation) Abram Sachar's "History of the Jews". Sachar was president of Brandeis University and a top scholar in the field of modern Jewish history:-) Then there's of course Raul Hilberg's "The Destruction of the European Jews", THE Holocaust reference work and finally (if you don't take a Jew's word for it:-))), there's Thomas Cahill's history of the Jewish people. Cahill, as you might guess from his name, is an Irishman, a Roman Catholic cleric and leading scholar on ecumenical history.

Anything else you'd care to know?LOL

Oh, and apropos my invective in your direction; they're no more than you so richly deserve.

Happy reading!

Oh, and apropos my invective in your direction; they're no more than you so richly deserve.

I hope you won't get what you deserve. I wouldn't want it on anyone.

Abram Sachar's

Abram Sachar - a leader of the B'nai Brith Hillel Foundation, their second choice was Sachar, who had displayed his Zionist zeal. I'll read it.

Sure, read Roman Dmowski " Kwestia Żydowska". Do you need translation?

Anything else you'd care to know?LOL

Sure, would you like to educate yourself? Would you rather remain biased and bigoted? I have few position you should read - about WWII Poland and Jews.

If I ever read the well-known "nationalist-patriot" aka anti-Semite Dmowski, I'd naturally choose the Polish original:-)

If you can handle Sachar in English, I'm certain I can take Pan Dmowski in Polish as well!

Thanks for the referral.

However when it comes to xenophobia Poland is one of these places that scores very low in that regard. That is a fact.

Then show us your "facts", Iron. Compared to other European nations, Poland has a very low number of foreigners living in the country (only Romania has less). Hence, the number of hate crimes related to xenophobia or raciscm is also comparatively low. Does that mean that Poles are less xenophobic than the rest? No, of course not. Import a few million Muslims from the Levante and the Middle East who do not integrate, and then we'll see how friendly the Poles really are...

Sadly, political correctness has become a luxury which mostly only the developed nations can afford to practice:-)

Poland, like Germany, France, Italy etc. still have a long ways to go in this respect. While I'm not suggesting that they are anything BUT developed, perhaps even more developed in terms of everyday technology available to the average citizen, the US is one of the few industrialized power to actually implement diversity at the grassroots level!

Prosperous countries like France, England, Sweden and Germany can afford to believe in the fairytale that large groups of low social capital muslim immigrants can be integrated into their countries and will be able to support themselves financially - and then pay for their welfare when they predictably fail to do either.

Countries like Poland and Hungary can barely afford minimal social benefits for their own citizens - let alone a bunch of middle eastern losers.

It's pretty much that simple.

Then show us your "facts", Iron

I already did.

Import a few million Muslims from the Levante and the Middle East

Sure, two conditions, you are going to fork out for their upkeep, if there is a terrorist attack, you face an execution. Legitimate concerns are not xenophobia. You know let finish at that, your obsessions are annoying. You're reminding me Harry in that regard and his one track mind.

your obsessions are annoying

Come on, Iron - everybody is trying to have a decent conversation here. You're the only one who's getting upset.

everybody is trying to have a decent conversation here.

If you want to have a decent conversation don't bring Muslims from the middle east to every conversation. How many Muslim refugees from Middle east indwell in you house? None? Oh my, you must be a xenophobic racist or whatnot.. ..

You're the only one who's getting upset.

I'm not. You're being unreasonable. . there are 15 Ways to Stop Obsessing.

Looks more like a scene from a public service announcement or a consciousness-raising film, that's all.

Brainwashing the general public to think that picture is normal and force feeding acceptance of black males.
Lyzko 45 | 9,346

The point is that to be sure, it ISN'T, but it SHOULD BE!!! That's the ideal, not always the actual, purpose of religious training, Bible study and public service advertisements. Propaganda? Sure, you bet it is.

However, acceptance has got to start somewhere, hasn't it!

I remember as a kid there were many fine and beautiful such public service commercials on television, Try to find one nowadays. It's almost as hard as trying to find a decent movie:-)

Racism doesn't start ex nihilo, it's often the reaction of the frustrated, that is to say, of a people at their WEAKEST and worst!!

Ironside, if you value the humanity with which G_d bestowed you, you'd realize as a Christian that racism, while understandable, is surely NEVER forgivable!! Unless you're merely a four-legged animal who just happens to walk upright, you also cannot and should not justify jungle law, as man has supposedly advanced beyond giving in to his basest instincts:-) If such is not the case, of what value is such a person? Only G_d can forgive you, not I.

If you honestly believe what you posted, then I'm afraid Darwin was wrong; we're STILL apesLOL

Ironside,

Lyzko - "adjective: natural
- existing in or derived from nature; not made or caused by humankind."
Racism is hardwired into the brain and it operates unconsciously.
Not a your ignorant and unlearned self that suggested that racism is an ideology i.e. that is created by human thought. I would think that your ape like attitude to debate is responsible for the fact that for the most part you understand absolutely nothing. Meaning you like throwing sh..t, arguments not so much.

"The specific characteristics used as a basis for categorization depend on the culture and the environment, but the tendency to sort people into groups and this essentialist belief about them is something natural. Innate even."

Lyzko 45 | 9,346
13 Aug 2016 #718
NO ONE is "born" a racist, any more than we're born to be gluttons, ascetics, murderers, or saints:-) This has been disproven, even C. Lombrosos' "criminal type" has long since been called into question.

You're just letting yourself off the hook, Ironside. Why not fess up to it, and admit to yourself that it's a failing, rather than justify racism etc. through rationalizing?

:-)

Please focus on the topic only

Tarique ,

Poles are not racist, but are inherently wary of outsiders for good reason given Poland's history, a good trait to have these days given the level of criminality and terrorism across the rest of Europe.

Poland is an island of peace and tranquility surrounded by hordes of ill doers these days, we are wary of Trojan horses and people who want to force change upon us, the false accusation of racism will not deter us from keeping our people safe.

There's a children's song, once popular, featured in an old Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, "You've got to be taught to hate and fear, you've got to be taught from year to year, you've got to be carefully taught........"

@dolno,
Suspicion of strangers is to be sure a rife feeding ground for racist hostility! Indeed, unsolicited truckloads of unwanted, alien-seeming outsiders, descending en masse onto a small, homogeneous territory can well test the metal of even the most "tolerant" folk, no argument there.

However, it is precisely during such times, that what makes us human (Christian, Muslim, or Jew) is most relished:-) A lesson for us all!!
