Anyway, almost everyone in my family (including aunts uncles and cousins from both sides) has turned up to contain certain "racist" sentiments just by the observations they have made through living here. I discovered this AFTER I advanced in my ideology, self-observations and research + common sense. Even my Polish friends old and young + neighbors harbor "racist" sentiments! Asking me what schools I recommend, as long as there are minimal blacks there, imagine that!

So I believe the majority of Poles I have met are this way, (mind you I live in a Polish community here) so the majority of us do harbor "racist" thinking, or by our standards, common sense.

My family and friends in Poland seems to be okay with my ideology after realizing the great points I've made about several things on races. Guess the western brainwashing doesn't have an extended reach for Poland :P I'd say majority of Poles are neutral leaning to "racism and intolerance" as you would call it.

Why on earth would this bother me? It wouldn't bother me if my daughter dated a black man, as long as she was happy that's the main thing. If she dates and meets someone from any ethnic background and is happy, then as a father I will feel content :O)

I've had this discussion a few times while in Poland and from what I've observed, most of the people (younger-educated) don't really care about gays in Poland. They say times are changing and they're too busy getting on with their own lives to worry about sth so trivial.

How can this be trivial? The amount of gays that spread greatly affects Poland's birth rate and hinders the mother+father+children family status!

So do gays reproduce, or do they turn straight people gay? Or, as I believe, does acceptance of homosexuality allow people to be honest about their sexuality and that there are neither no more no less gay people, in terms of percentage of population, as there have ever been?

How comfortable r u with ur sexuality legion? For example, could u say that a guy is handsome without batting an eyelid? For me, anytime. For example, FISZ is a handsome guy, with striking Native American features and a calm demeanour. It is all tied in with genetics. I couldn't bring myself to think about him or Brad Pitt sexually as it just isn't in my genes. I've known people who can't even say a dude is handsome without being accused of being gay. That's when it gets lame. My good friend from Uni, however, would have no problem doing so.

it astonishes me just how shallow minded you are. you want to identify yourself with Polish people, but you are so desperate to belong there that you can't see what is so bloody wrong with your 'logic'. first of all, a great majority of Polish people is not as racist as you describe. especially people your age, who grew up in a different Poland than 20 or 30 years ago, different Poland your parents grew up in. i'd say we are curious about other races because white people are still the majority in Poland, but it's just old, uneducated people and 'meatheads' like you who havent got anythin, absolutely ANYTHING to do with their sad little lives that they take their frustrations out on people who are different to them. i would've thought that living in USA for such a long time would teach you some tollerance, or that you would at least get used to seing black people or gays, but you live in your own little world don't you? i personally don't know anyone Polish who has such extreme views on black people and homosexuals. i've seen a program about Polish hooligans, but they hate everyone and always look for a fight. you should grow up and maybe stop being so scared of things unknown to you. learn something about them, learn that other people have the right to live anywhere they wish, just like you had the right to live in USA.

The topic has long been closed, but let me tell you something to clear your minds. About the Turks in Germany, men, you are so unlucky. In 80s, many workers from eastern Turkey who had no education or culture at all, immigrated to Germany. Because the worker salary was very high in comparison to salaries in Turkey.

The people that did not immigrate were educated and had no reason to immigrate to another country. So, unfortunately, you people got the worst part, the junk of Turkish people.

Personally, not to prove anything or be a smartass, my IQ is 134 and it is certified by official tests and i am Turkish.

they may not be educated but I would never call my country men junk. IQ has nothing to do with education, so maybe some people you are talking about have th eIQ as high as yours. The problem with Turks has a lot to do with the fact that they were treated like underdogs in Germany(citizenship issues), not with the fact that they were uneducated. I have seen a lot of Turks in Berlin and just because they are trying to preserve their culture however bad it may appear to others, there is no excuse for a country men like you to form such opinions. The story of Turkish workers in Germany is more complicated than that.

All the population immigrated?

first of all, the IQ part was just an answer to a post which is quite old. Someone was claiming that Turkish people have I average of 70-80 something like that. So, it was not an insult to my fellow citizens.

Anyway, about the junk part. I personally believe, if someone is immigrating to another country to live there and may be live there for generations, they must (really MUST) integrate themselves to the system. I mean, you left your country and now living in some other country. You are using the resources and the services of that country some of which are sustained by the taxes of the natives. So, you must respect the rules, regulations, social structure, and way of life in that country. Of course you can not change all of a sudden, but being totally against the change proved to be a good argument for people who have racist tendencies.

For example, i am in Canada now for my education and i am learning and obeying the rules of this place. Not out of fear from being discriminated, but out of respect.

Second, yes it is not their fault to be under-educated, it is the government's fault. But, unfortunately, they were under-educated and sometimes ridiculously stubborn as a result. So, may be "junk" word was too blatant, i agree, but it is obvious that they are not the best specimen to observe and have an idea about all the Turks. (Also, i was talking about the first gonners to Germany.)

While discussing whether or not the Polish people are "racist" against foreign minorities, why not ask the same question in reverse? Examine whether or not the countries these minorities are from are themselves racist.

If a Turk or a Pakistani wants to talk about racism in Poland, perhaps we should ask if there is racism in Turkey or Pakistan. For example: is Pakistan a multi-ethnic, multi-religious country with as many Polish people living in its borders as there are Pakistanis living in Poland? Are ethnic Poles (even Roman Catholics!) widely accepted and respected in Pakistan?

Do the police and common people in Pakistan protect the ethnic Poles visiting or living in Pakistan? Obviously the Pakistani minority demands protection and respect for its community in Poland, but do their countrymen do the same for Poles or other ethnic Europeans in Pakistan?

If the homelands of these minorites living in Poland do not offer equal respect, acceptance and protection to the ethnic Europeans living there, then the foreign minorities should not demand - or even expect - any better treatment in Poland.

Of course, tolerance of racist behavior shouldn't be contingent on how others are treated abroad, but the old saying holds true: People living in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! If you don't tolerate others at home, don't demand that others tolerate you abroad.
