you really should try to be a bit more diplomatic,

advice taken just think sometimes is better to be a bit hash so folks will wake up.

tap water is a big no here for sure is not Rome with fountains with drinking water all over the place .

I know all about troubles in the UK however I left for personal reasons wanting to explorer live in continental Europe for a while to see the differences etc.

in the UK will not be hard then Poland for sure, and I will try to stay in continental Europe if I can but Poland nah dont really think one can debate much via a forum like this if face to face we could see the good and bad of life in Poland for now more bad then good unfortunately.

I want the place to work out but I have to see it as it is, and no have some idealistic view of the reality .

I lived here for 4 years so know what I been thought

by hey is almost over for the ones coming here wish you can make it some did well most I know did not .

again one dont know until trying

my baby is fine my relation with my Polish wife also however there are better and easiest places one can pick to live.

Peace .

I don`t eat Pork I am Jewish so will take the cheap electronics ....

Whats a Jews biggest dilemma?

Free pork....

Yes I try to go to several Public places in Warsaw all of then ask us me and my wife to bring our own drinking water !!! I joke you not !!! was a list of stuff you should take with you which is far enough ... but even your own water to drink !!!

what did you expect the hospital to pay for bottled water? I would be more worried about the lack of soap and toilet paper to be honest. 12,000 PLN because they didnt provide water, ehh OK - BS.

No place is ideal if you are struggling..And thats the reality sweetie.

But I have to say what amazes me is your view of Poland, you come from a country with a turbulant past where a democratic government were only in re-introduced in the late 1980s and even though your country is enjoying a stable time, it hasn't always been like this...Granted, Brazil acted fast and the results have been economically positive..But we still have many illegal Brazillians in the UK on dodgy Portuguese passports..So that tells me that Brazil isnt the exactly paradise..No? So maybe you shouldn't abuse Poland when your own country isn't perfect: Here are some stats for Brazil:

Childhood mortality: about 2.51% of childhood mortality, reaching 3.77% in the northeast region.

Motherhood mortality: about 73.1 deaths per 100,000 born children in 2002

In Poland these rates are a lot lower, so that must tell you something?

Shalom and best of luck to you, your baby and your wife.

I dont have to go back to Brazil do I

I can compare Poland to Norway and see what is the best place to live

Yes it is Norway
dodgy Portuguese passports guess will not have to do that he he he

12,000 PLN because they didnt provide water, ehh OK - BS.

I did Private Punk no Public also in the Public when is need lets say Cesarean they try the most not do it risking the baby life but hey I am happy your baby was born ok in the public I know many case where they had good service I know more that they dont so we pick private.

I would be more worried about the lack of soap and toilet paper to be honest.

Those were two of the things that were completely missing the last time I went to a state hospital.

zion, you are just poor, stupid polish citizen, who barely can afford for basic things, like paying for medical assistant during birth ;-)

p.s. you want to live in norway and you still complaining about prices of polish healthcare? are you thinking that it is cheaper in norway? :) lol :) you are THE MAN, zion :)

ask your Polish partner to read some Polish forums in Polish

thanks for your yet again very insightful advice, but as it happens I'm fluent in Polish courtesy of my Polish dad and as such I don't need a partner to help me read, pay my bills, get me a passport etc. Best of luck to your child, it will really need it.

Who the hell is this guy?

But first, could everyone shut up with the Jew comments: this guy is a fool, but I don't think it is a tasteful way to criticise him.

Zion, your attitude disgusts me:

I'm from a much richer country than Poland. We have a proud history of democracy, prosperity, and tolerance. That doesn't mean I'd go online and mouth off about Poland. I'm looking forward to living there soon, because I respect and love my wife's family, and because Poland has an awesome strategic position in Europe, fascinating history...

As for your comments about the language, poor you. Nothing sounds as nice as a beautiful woman talking sophisticated Polish. I think you will be unpleasantly surprised if you try to get citizenship without bothering to learn Polish.

If you hate Poland so much, but were the sort of person that didn't have the attributes to apply for a work permit somewhere else in Europe before now, having Polish citizenship is hardly going to open doors for you.

exactly, looks like he still struggles with English as well... so basically, if one wants Polish citizenship, just as any other citizenship, they need to learn the language, it's the part of the deal. zion is not only being disrespectful towards the country where he undeniably has a better quality of life than in his native country, but also an ignorant fool for not researching what he needs to learn in order to aquire the citizenship. your silly wife might translate letters, bills and documents for you but she won't pass your citizenship test for you. unless she looks like a fat hairy Brazilian man and she could go disguised as you? :) With your English skills and virtually no Polish skills i seriously doubt you're something else than a simple labourer or a cleaner anyway, so please get over yourself.

I would call you a Kvnt but Im too much of a lady! Oh my bad, I already did call you one!

You havent lived there yet so you dont know the reality, people and places change a person, but I wouldnt broadcast it to the world...and there is the difference..You however are already broadcasting to the world you wont...see you 6 months after you arrive in Poland!

As for your comments about the language, poor you. Nothing sounds as nice as a beautiful woman talking sophisticated Polish. I think you will be unpleasantly surprised if you try to get citizenship without bothering to learn Polish.

Not really there are 1,000s of Indians and Pakistanis and the rest who have British citizenship who cant even say "hello"..and English is a global language..Britain have had immigrants for centuries and we have only just introduced a language test.. Maybe Poland will do this in the future..

If you hate Poland so much, but were the sort of person that didn't have the attributes to apply for a work permit somewhere else in Europe before now, having Polish citizenship is hardly going to open doors for you.

? Are you for real? How many Poles have managed to travel since their entrance to the EU...I dont actually think Zion married his wife just for citizenship. Im almost positive he didnt, I think he does love her, he stayed in Poland for 4 years rather than moving to the UK and living on a visa (which he could have done) - he is looking to the future for his wife and child for a secure future..

I know he came on here with a bad attitude but I think he just wanted to vent his frustration...You all know how I feel about immigrants marrying for citizenship, but I could place my life on it that Zion is not just after citizenship to live in europe and to leave wife..I know he is one of the few who met someone, fell in love and has done what it has taken to stay together and whilst Brazil isnt perfect isnt Pakistan! Its a world of difference, lets say for instance, between, Britain and Poland...

I actually have a baby here, delivered in a public hospital. I can't comment on the state of hopsitals in Warsaw, though, so will have to leave you at that. Mine was born in a hospital in a small town, and although there were two things that I didn't like I don't see a reason to choose a private hospital next time.

She's also Polish...Does it really make a difference still in Poland if someone is Jewish? If so I find that heartbreaking in this day and age :(

No they dont, we just dont want to be called racists..so we pander to their needs...Its what I call post colonial guilt! Time to move one..These brown fekers wanted independence and they got it yet they flock here like flies! But I have to say others that flock here demand interpreters and such like and cost us a fortune (and I include you when I say us Justy, you've been paying tax for years too) so thank your countrymen who dont make the effort and send every spare penny they have home to build a house...You're a minority Hon! They used to say Pakis were the new Jews...Well, Poles are the knew Pakis...And that is the 100% view of all of my friends and most people I know...

they still pay taxes and the majority work hard, hardly the new Pakis! yes a lot of Polish people tend to stick together and not mix with the locals, make their £££ and count down the days till they get back but there's nothing wrong or illegal about that. the illegals and visa overstayers only abuse the system cos they can, if it wasn't so easy they wouldn't bother coming here in the first place. i don't resent them as much as i resent the UK gov though for allowing this to happen and making us pay for all their mistakes. they even claim that a complete benefits system overhaul would be more expensive than paying out millions of pounds to people who don't deserve it like they have been doing for years, just cos it's easier for them.

hateful anti-Polish xenophobe

come is not all that harsh

Today is vaccines day and did you know that the vaccines give by the public health system in Poland is a old out of date version !!! plus many vaccines that are offer free on other EU states are not give here !!! This have been search by my wife yes that 6 in one vaccine is not give free here one must paid private ,the one given free in the old version !! I know is crazy

guess will have to go private as have been doing ...

Please the ones with kids living in Poland share you experiences on vaccines

about the polish passport there is none of this no sence you must speak Polish bla bla bla

in my case I was asked to live here for 3 years and once I did well, paid my taxes, worked , and committed no crimes the government law says can apply for a passport and yes I can say I dont like Poland very much because of the how life hard can be if compared with other places ( not Brazil or Israel life in those places is harder ) but again will not go back there and so I can always come back if I think that this place can offer better opportunities for me and my family .

I've spent three months in Poland. No, I'm not going to go there right now, because I know what to expect, and I know that I wouldn't have the best time and it wouldn't be the best for us at this stage in our life. This guy, however, has got too big for his boots and is saying "see you later suckers" because he somehow thinks that putting in 4 years of drudge to scam his way into citizenship puts him in the position to crow about himself.

? Are you for real? How many Poles have managed to travel since their entrance to the EU

It will open doors for him to work in crappy jobs in the UK or wherever, but that in itself is not an opportunity. Poles who do that do so to take money back to Poland, if they want to go further they get educated etc.

Home / Life / 2 months to go - I will be a Polish citizen and try to find a better place to raise my kid.
