Wladyslaw III 5 Aug 2007 #1I'm a huge fan of Kasta, Trzeci Wymair, Paktofonika, Peja, Fenomen, and of course DJ Markski. Wondering if I let any other good polski hip-hop groups out and what groups do you think are the best???
BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 5 Aug 2007 #2hi wladyslawwe have covered this topic before - if you do a search you will find threadsthe long and short of it is that rap is crap, polish hip hop is actually pretty good and that some people dont know the differece between the two
AmirahJanowitz 9 Oct 2007 #3sorry to say this guys but Polish and rap and hip hop do not mix together.Polish rap is not that great. you guys have nice music then this rap.it is only my opinion

Dice 15 | 452 24 Jan 2008 #7Polish hip-hop is an oxymoron. It's like Icelandic reggae, African punk-rock, Chinese country'n'western lol
BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 25 Jan 2008 #8Have you seen Run DMC or Grandmaster Flash live mate?yup, run dmc in brixton academy, grandmaster flash on malibu pier, abradab in a field in gdynia
z_darius 14 | 3,965 25 Jan 2008 #10Rock 'n roll was invented for people who could hardly sing.Hip hop is for people who cannot sing at all. Now, arguing who is better at not being able to sing at all is kinda funny.
BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 25 Jan 2008 #11if you want to sing then join a choir and leave the rest of us alone to enjoy the music
Ozi Dan 26 | 569 26 Jan 2008 #12run dmc in brixton academySaw them in my city in 1998. Me and my buddy were in the front row (small venue). Runny Ray - what a cracker he is. We watched him try to chat a girl up in the foyer but she didnt know who he was so she brushed him. We got him and the Hollis crew to sign our tshirts after that -we got JMJ's and DMC's sigs as well. Got my picture taken with DMC as well!! What a night - can still hear that first scratch blast thru the speaker on 'Mary Mary'!
BubbaWoo 33 | 3,506 26 Jan 2008 #13wheres your home city OD - i saw the jungle brothers and tone loc play in adelaide back in 89 or something...small venue, front row... :-)

smurf 39 | 1,971 18 Apr 2010 #25Apr 19, 10, 04:18 - Thread attached on merging:Best Polish HiphopI'm fairly new to Polish hiphop, I know Kaliber, OSTR, FiszWho else is worth listening to?And none of that hiphop-polo either! or imitation gangster crapmaybe some more kinda experimental hiphopor old-skool sounding stuff
Arien 3 | 719 18 Apr 2010 #26Paktofonika. They've got some laidback cuts, they don't talk **** and they're pretty oldskool..;)youtu.be/pX-yx78nkgQ:)
smurf 39 | 1,971 19 Apr 2010 #27Thanks Arien, Paktofonia seem pretty cool and will go lookin for their records next time I'm in the city centrenot really diggin Funky Polak though it's a bit too American sounding for me, maybe his lyrics are good but my polski isn't good enough yet to catch everything he's saying, I'm more into the beats and music and he's not very original with his music at least
Arien 3 | 719 19 Apr 2010 #28I know the quality is pretty bad on Youtube sometimes, but in my opinion this is one of the dopest tracks they've ever made. I know it's a simple cut, but I can listen to this type of Hip Hop all damn day..:)
Kenneth78 - | 25 20 Apr 2010 #29Polish hip-hop is an oxymoron. It's like Icelandic reggae, African punk-rock, Chinese country'n'westernhip hop and rap will always be crapNow, arguing who is better at not being able to sing at all is kinda funny.I just agree with you.
FUZZYWICKETS 8 | 1,879 20 Apr 2010 #30i'll tell you what i think of polish hip hop....what would you poles say if you saw a bunch of americans in a music video, not one member of the group with any polish blood whatsoever, playing traditional polish folk music dressed in traditional polish garb, dancing around lakes that look like Mazury and mountains that look like Tatry?
