Residents in the village of Świerczów had long heard claims that pieces of a Soviet tank were hidden on private land.
Many dismissed the account as local folklore.
Recent excavations, however, appear to have confirmed the story.
A Russian tank was buried there back in the 1950's when it broke down and couldn't be moved.
