Ska???? Wasn't that kind of music popular some 30+ years ago? I remember Ska Punk and Acid Ska for example.

I especially liked the first Republika song you posted and both SDM tunes.
Your posts suggest that you are a bit younger than me, or have more modern tastes.
I have a broad taste in music and only really hate Opera and some of the newer genres of Rap etc.
But I am an old school, long haired, (though short haired now :-) ),denim and leather Rock, Blues and Folk fan.

The second one from Kasa Chorych is quite interesting. Sounds like a somewhat crude mixture of East of Eden and the Dutch bands Focus and Livin' Blues.

I really liked the first Kasa Chorych song :) The guitar riffs on the last song reminded me very much of Santana to be honest. I liked that one too.

Organek is a real talent but Kortez is right out there..... if he sang in English he could be huge.

I'm really not sure why the links are disabled because it would definitely make it easier to remember what's been posted. I do know that with time some links get broken because I remember admin painstakingly having to remove them all years ago. A while back you posted some tradtional style music I really liked, can't remember if it was muzyka góralska or not, but the prospect of searching through 10 pages of a thread is a bit daunting :(

I really like the video for 'Początek', as simple as it may seem making it must have been really difficult as it's made with one camera shot.

As for folk music I posted here, I know I posted some videos of Gooral performing with Mazowsze at Woodstock festival. As incredible as the idea seems, the audience loved Mazowsze.

I just love the making of it! I haven't seen it before.

I like Tulia's videos, too. Plus the sound - I think it's called biały śpiew. The song I like the least is their Eurovision entry.

I visited their channel recently and apparently they recorded a song with Kasia Kowalska. Personally I like the song most when Kasia actually joins in- but I've listened to it once only. Just a graphic video.

Back in the days of the PRL, an ACDC vinyl would cost almost as much as a month's salary. Around 2k zloty. Atleast that's what I heard from people who lived during prl.

Poland was fortunate though to have far less censorship towards western things than Russia and even e germany
