hello - I have been looking for a cleaner to remove calcium and lime buildup from a showerhead - at home i would simply soak the showerhead itself in CLR but i havent been able to find an equivalent product here - only spray on types of cleaners for glass shower doors etc. Is anyone familiar with a product like this that they could recommend?

Many thanks in advance

Limescale is called kamienia in Poland.

Johnson's Duck Power Zero Kamienia is usually used for WCs but may work on a shower head although it might not be good for a chrome finish, I'm not sure.

You could probably also use a descaler for kettles, diluting it with water as per the label.

Otherwise you can probably use diluted white vinegar with hot water (soak it 3 hours).

Wear gloves and keep out of your eyes and off skin etc and all the usual precautions necessary.

Thank you! Just having the word 'kamienia" was immensely helpful... i would guess maybe OBI might sell this type of product or even a grocery store?

Glad to be of help :)

Carrefour or Auchan (the latter are usually cheaper) should have the Duck product, and Spolem will also have the coffee machine/kettle descaler which might be in a sachet.

Me personally, I use vinegar (ocet) as I hope it's better for the environment.

Limescale is called kamienia in Poland.

Kamień. "Kamienia" is a genitive form. So what you need is "preparat do usuwania kamienia" ("limescale removing agent"), but your problem is "kamień na słuchawce prysznicowej" ("limescale on the showerhead").

They advertise it on TV that it's enough to put this Cillit on a sponge and wipe the shower head with this and it will be free of lime and rust :) But I wouldn't trust TV commercials.

On the net people recommend methods with vinegar, sometimes with addition of baking soda.

White vinegar. Works and costs almost nothing.
