The Blame Game (Have you ever noticed that a Polish person is never wrong!?)

Pawian, if you and your wife both forget to buy the cabbage soup, cabbage rolls, sauerkraut cabbage or raw cabbage, who blames who more? It could lead to domestic strife ;)
pawian 221 | 24,014

We only buy sauerkraut, about once in 3 months.

So there are no domestic feuds about that.

):):):)

Another example, please.

The other cabbage dishes I mentioned ;)

OK, you have run out of toilet paper. Who gets blamed for not observing the level of it?

Sorry, darling, I don`t believe it. :):):)

Darling?, are you gay?

Come on, another lie. What kind of a developer are you?

You are making yourself look stupid now. Many people on the forum know that I am a developer. If you bothered to check, you would see pictures of my projects.

Meet me in Krakow and you will understand why I have never been bullied.

I feel so little next to you. :):):):):)

Not at all. I am just not used to "men" calling me "Darling"
I would like to see pawian call me "Darling" to my face.

=Seanus]The other cabbage dishes I mentioned ;)

Hey, have you got any problems with reading?

I thought I stated it in clear simple English:

=pawian]We only buy sauerkraut, about once in 3 months.

Did I make a mistake so you didn`t understand me?

I am not many.
Do you really crave for fame so much that you expect everybody to know you are a developer? :):):)

I would like to see pawian call me "Darling" to my face.

I will call you darling into your face, you can call me what you want and we will see whose face will last longer.

Meet me tomorrow in Błonie grassfield opposite the Cracovia Stadium. I finish work in a nearby school at 14.40, so I will be waiting for you at 3 pm.

PS. Your overbearing reaction to my inquisitive posts only proves that you are a very frustrated guy.
I pity you, in fact.

There's a pic of Pawian on the show your face thread. He's a bigger lad than his style of writing suggests.

It was funny pitting my accountant against the tax office. The both claimed they were right so I let them fight it out :)

calling someone you do not know "a liar" is being inquisitive? what do you do to be obnoxious?

[quote=pawian]I am not many.

Your not even "one"

Do you really crave for fame so much that you expect everybody to know you are a developer?

No, but I would check my facts before I called someone a liar.

Thank you. It means that I know what he looks like and he has no idea who I am.

Take them as you want, but as to yourself, in the future, could you provide less crappy examples illustrating some traits of Polish character under discussion? :):):)

Would the above be serious or provocation?

Highlights the fact that people in glass homes should'nt throw stones, both these people claim to know everything yet have very poor interpersonal skills, hence the motion that I am never wrong. Avalon shame on you for then trying to be critical of Polish people, in Rome you do what the Romans do and if you don't like it get out.

Please contribute sth to the thread or get off it.

Why? I think Wielki Polak`s contribution here is OK. He only dares to disagree with other foreigners who agree with Avalon. That`s why he should get off?

That`s unfair.

(When you talk to a lawyer, he/she tells you its a WASTE OF TIME} why do I have to pay (in time and money) for people who have no idea what they are doing?.
Untill Tusk, and whatever stupid government in Poland, realises, what a hell it is to, actually do business here, it will always be a backward country.

Avalon, I have read your post again.

I think I wrongly accused you of lying. I am sorry. You could have gotten such perception during your stay in Poland, indeed.

But I will say it again then: it is a Polish style of life.

Why?

Poles are quite messy and forgetful on everyday basis. It is our national character. I myself am such - I often forget to check mailbox, take some books to school, phone somebody, bring the printed tests on the appointed day, etc etc. I forget to buy things that my wife asks me to, and she usually forgets to do what I want her to do. :):):):)

And there are millions of people like that in Poland. :):):):)

Now, do you imagine holding everybody responsible for their petty mistakes? Do you imagine what further mess it would create? Who should take the erroneous to court if nobody is perfect and himself/herself can be taken by others?

Isn`t it clear now why proving someone`s irresponsibility is bad manners in Poland and provokes surprise and shock?

That is why I got a little irritated by your OP. It seemed to me like an attempt of trying to convert a rhino into an elephant overnight, while the process will have to take lightyears. :):):):)

Pushing and pressing will not do any good.

I can`t be frigging held responsible for your laziness, you old lazy bones!!!

Enjoy it while it lasts.

George Friedman knows something you don't

you won't be quite so pewny siebie when it happens, trust me on this ;)

Yes - I know that - which is why I was dreading Poland adopting "Western Ideas"

It's all very well being smug about Poland's "success", but those EU subsidies have made a huge difference

I was not being smug - I was being ironic. There is a difference. Maybe you are just jealous?

Those EU subsidies helped to pull Poland out of 60 years of dark ages after she was sold off to the soviets in 1945.
Those EU subsidies merely got Poland a decent foothold - to BEGIN playing catch up with the west.

On receiving the parking ticket I went to the local "straz" station, explained what had happened to the officer who issued the ticket and he agreed that there was a lack of signage, no parking bays are marked out and the fact was that many tickets were issued there because of this. He "tore" the ticket up. This has happened twice now. A waste of everybodies time.

Another example of Poland adopting "Western Idea". Poland has learned from the west that parking tickets - right or wrong - are a great way of raising money. The parking wardens are above the law/make it up to suit themselves and there is nothing you can do about it. Just like here in the UK. I could tell you some spectacular parking ticket stories from London - where I've been at MP's front doors complaining about outrageous fines - and they agree they are outrageous but what can you do? It's a Mafia - and now it's in Poland. 10 years ago you could park anywhere - the FAK you wanted - and not wardens. Poland will be just like the UK soon. I'm surprised you have not picked that up yet...
