Birdy 11 Feb 2022 #1Need some advice about using Polish ATMs , i followed the advice about using Bank Polski, are OK, and do tthe ransaction without currency conversion...butwow...300 Zl...receipted a 317.90PLN withdrawn..at a rate 5.31..and then also a foreign transaction fee of £1.79 from Nationwide..Crazy...including a crap rate, Ive been slugged three times..and adds up to 10%
gumishu 13 | 6,138 11 Feb 2022 #2@Birdyif you need to exchange pounds into zlotys your best bet is to bring cash from the UK and exchange it in an exchange office (called KANTOR in Polish) - they have the best rates (and typically don't charge commission) - there are also online KANTORs but I have never tried them - perhaps someone here has experience with them

Becoming dad 3 | 28 17 Feb 2022 #4I have been using my Foreign ATM to withdraw money and pay my bills for over two years, I don't even notice the charges anymore. Don't worry, you will get used to it.
