How will the Zloty be against the British Pound over the next 6-12 Months

And if the UK keeps her promise, she will enter the Eurozone in not too distant future anyway. If they are smart, they will do that.

Not only the UK kept themselves away from the eurozone all the time, but finally they have decided to leave the EU for good. God save the Queen!

may we expect the zloty/pound pair remain at a fairly stable rate between 4,70-4,80 down into the first quarter of 2010?

And it is today roughly at the same level (4.72) as it was in November of 2009.

Great news for most Brits in Poland who have an income in PLN, EUR or USD as well as for those of us whose shares have rocketed.

well yes but the shares have rocketed in pounds :) in USD is there a huge difference ?

did laugh at an article in financial times saying the Pound was now HM's official opposition since Labor are in such a bad condition.

That's quite funny and in a way true. Right now it looks like the main opposition to the daft proposal to withdraw from the world's largest trading bloc is coming from industry and business - and I would expect the unions to have something to say about the million job losses expected.

A fall in the pound is always good though for Brits in Poland, most of whom earn in PLN but occasionally spend in GBP.

Can't be nice for Poles in the UK who send money home.

Us business people are expecting the pound to reach its lowest lovel once article 50 is signed. After that its lowest level once the job losses start and the brexit lies become apparent. To me the current level is a preview of what will happen. The victims will be the poorer people who don't do currency trade or shares as they will pay more for everything while the wealthier will be ready. Those are the people who wanted change the most. They have rejected the experts if you remember. Now get ready for reciprocal rejection.

So these are not good levels to buy Pound? Further downside is expected? The current rate already looks the lowest on the last 5 year graph.

Further downside is expected

It is possible though it may rebound. Right now the situation is too unstable for any speculation to be anything other than a gamble. Better to invest safely and sweat out the crisis.

I agree but what is surprising is that the Pound is comparatively getting more weaker vs. PLN than other currencies. Is there some reason behind it? Almost 10% drop in like 10 days. I did not see such a fall versus any other currency.

Basically people betting against the pound due to the Brexit vote and the premier's comments about it in the light of weak political opposition. Right now it could go either way, however the pound is unlikely to fall beyond a certain level. Probably...

Yes it guess the lower threshold is very near because right now the difference between PLN/EURO and PLN/GBP is only 10%. And its getting closer and closer every day.

One of the reasons Poland is gaining currency on the pound is capacity. Poland is still building after the specter of communism the glass is half full. There is a lot of potential yet to be filled in all areas. There is epic opportunity for people with brains to develop things. Uk is very developed the glass is 85% full and adjustments are made within that 15%. The scope is much less.

Pound is too expensive so in a way it will help the Brits to export now. But people are afraid that if they set up business and brit pound goes up they will be uncompetitive again. Plus leaving eu will make brits even less competitive. Current Brit government is unelected and has clowns in it, this doesnt help either. There are so many things I cannot type them all. In reality this could end up anywhere. Ask yourself this....if you can force such change in uk by only 37% of the population voting for it and based on proven mathematical lies spun by clows like bj than how safe is your investment in this country?

I don't know your answers but my answer is I cut all ties with uk business and mr blow job can take that to the bank.

Britain is simply in decline. As every empire in this world, it has a phase of development, its peak and then a phase of decline. People start to be naive in the phase of decline and so are the British people (Rotherham scandal). People start to make wrong choices in the phase of decline and so do the British (Brexit decision). Remember the ancient Romans who preferred to stay at home and let foreign soldiers to fight in their name against other foreign forces? Remember the slow decline in the value of Roman currency?

The reign of Elizabeth I was certainly happier for Britain than the reign of Elizabeth II !

I think Brexit was absolutely the right choice. It does sadden me, but the EU has goven seriously wrong over the last 5? 10? years and the UK had no chance whatsoever of changing it since it's now devoted to the idea of rule by technocrat and not anything like democracy (direct or indirect).

If it doesn't radically change course soon the only options for any country will be stay and accept unlimited rule from Brussels or leave and for Poland the best option then will probably be 'leave' (before the country is forced to drink from the poisoned chalice of the Euro).

I like some of the ideas behind the EU but in its present horribly dysfunctional form? Not really.

Let's face it. Anything could hapoen, look what may is doing now. It's all speculation really, fun to guess but whether its reality or not remains to be seen.
