China stockmarket crash and the Polish Zloty and market in Poland?

Can anyone explain what is happening on the Chinese bourse and whether it already has had an mpact on weakening the US dollar vis-a-vis the złoty? The current rate is $1 = 3.66zł, down from to 3.75 not long ago.

Continuation of significant declines in the Chinese stock market. In Shanghai, investors get rid of shares, despite the announcement by the Chinese government on starting an intervention program. State firms and funds pledged to buy back shares when the Shanghai Composite index will be below the level of 4.5 thousand points, however, more companies suspend exchange trading, hoping for losses reduction. So sharp declines may mean the beginning of stock market crash in China.

Hi Polonius,

I think the writing is on the wall when it comes to the US Dollar.

With the advent of Bric's, and the imminent fall of the Petrodollar, the US will not be able to continue it's program of quantitative easing (printing money at will).

The status of the US Dollar as the world wide currency of trade will fall, I can remember when the US took over from the UK sterling, and the damage that that brought to the UK economy.

Poland on the other hand has not suffered from the 2007/2008 recession (the only European country not to be effected) and its debt to GDP ratio is very good,

but Poland was unable to shake off the fact that in terms of external investment it was bucketed in with the rest of Europe.

What I would like to say to any company or any members of the Polish Diaspora in the US is please consider the move to Poland, there is a great deal on offer in terms of human and natural resource, Poland is a truly democratic country and is a safe place to bring up a family, wide open spaces, good education and healthcare system (Comparing my own experience of 50 years in the UK).

Come over take a look, I did, and have not looked back. East is the new land of opportunity that the US west was back in the glory days.

P.S bring your Stetsons, it can get damn hot here in south western Poland, I wear mine most of the time.
