Same goes for products, are there any Polish producers known for their quality around the world?
Yes. I watch "Firma II. Pierwszy million" and I'm suprised how many good companies we have. It's all about being very deep inside some line of business to know that.
I've also read some article about guy who invented and make lots of patents in medical equipment and his company make it best in the world. I can't find this article but it was really intresting and showing that Polak jednak potrafi.

it's the medium sized businesses. The ones building forklifts, bearings, rock crushers, panels for aircraft, screens for plasma tvs, etc. Poland should follow the same model.
and it follows this model. That's why you have never heard about any polish company. We don't make chairs but we make springs for seats of these chairs. It would be insane to make another brand of cars or electronics when there are loads of companies who produce it and have experience. You have to find a niche. Making a niche business is not so spectacular like producing main stream products. Who cares that maybe some polish company makes the best sails for bouts? That's the problem... but, hey who said that we have to be spectacular and compete with Sony? ;)
