In 2016 I'm going to ask for PR ,if I haven't worked during the last 5 years in Poland the administration won't grant to me the PR? It's ridiculous!!!!

They might, they might not. If you clearly aren't actually living here but rather working for long periods abroad, then they might take a dim view of it, particularly if the tax administration has no record of you. Are you submitting yearly tax returns in Poland?

Ops I missed that point. You have to have lived in Poland.

I think the crucial thing is whether or not he's been submitting a yearly PIT or not. If he hasn't, then I can see them questioning whether or not he was actually resident here - or worse still, if he submits financial documents but there's no record of them with the Urzad Skarbowy.

Yes, you need to prove that you have been living in Poland, and if you are an EU citizen the only way to do it is with tax return forms or something similar because Poland does NOT keep records of entry and exit by EU/EEA citizens. On the other hand, if you were from outside EU/EEA then there would be an actual record of your entries and exits from Schengen zone.

I only obtain income from my polish account banks on my deposits(interest payment) but the bank sends to the urzad skarbowy the tax on interest.(19%)

I've never filled out the PIT cause I haven't worked in Poland during the last 5 years. At any rate, in 2016 I'll fill out my application for PR and I hope everything will be O.K.

However my wife is going to ask to urzad wojewodzki in Wroclaw all requeriments to get PR.

Uh-oh. This will get you into trouble - you have an obligation to fill out the PIT as you've received income while being legally resident in Poland for tax purposes. Even if the calculations are very simple, you're still obliged to do so. I will tell you for a categorical fact that the tax office will question you when you try and apply for permanent residency as you'll need a tax certificate to do so.

Go to the Urzad Skarbowy and sort it out. Now.

Good news from the urzad skarbowy!!!
They told to my wife I'm not obliged to declare on any PIT tax return the interest payment on my deposits in bank account cause tax is deducted by the bank at 19% anyway.

At the end of the year the bank sends a letter stating the amount that was remitted to the polish tax office and this is the proof of the income that has already been taxed in case, one need it for the future.:))

At any rate,

Tax returns

The deadline for filing an annual tax return is 30 April of the year following the reference tax year. This rule does not apply to revenue subject to tax on registered income or a flat rate tax.

interest on savings (19 per cent flat tax),

Therefore it is not necessary to fill the pit out.

I would ask for a ruling on the matter if I were you. It's the first time I've heard that someone that only receives interest is exempt from filling out the PIT. The other thing is that I'm not quite certain that the Urzad Wojewodzki will accept a mere letter from the bank as proof of income.

Just reading a few of these threads with interest as I'm thinking of applying for PR now. My situation is that I'm married to a Polish national (5 years), we have 3 children all of which are Polish and I have lived in Poland for 3 years now, working for about 2 of them.

The reason why I'm asking is that currently my British passport is about to run out and i need some form of identification.

So my first question is, can the PR identity card be used to travel within the EU (Ryan air etc)?

I was told at my local gmina office that the ID card is the same as the national ID card, but it states I am a British citizen on it.

Is this correct as I'm dubious about it.

I'm waiting for the permanent residence card in Wroclaw.I submitted all required documentation in june 14 and I was told it'll takes 5 weeks to pick the PR card up.

Fill out an applicaton for the PR.
My original and photocopy of a valid travel document(ID or passport)
2 recent colour photographs.
Original and photocopy of a temporary stay registration.(5 years)
Original and photocopy of my marriage certificate cause I'm married to a polish citizen.
Original and photocopy of my bank cards.
Original and photocopy of my public european health insurance issued in Spain(they didn't need my private health insurance ,I was amazed).
Original and photocopy of my pesel number.
I didn't need neither history work nor taxes paid.

I also submitted the original and photocopy of my wife's passport when I gave them my marriage certificate.

Original and photocopy of the permanent residence registration(zameldowania na pobyt stały) issued at the municipal office.

Urząd województki (foreigner office in Wrocław) gave to me the permanent residence card yesterday.Everything was O.K and fast and very easy.

I hadn't any problem with all documentation.
I'm very happy it'is a really nice id card. The previous flimsy paper of certificate registration(5 years) is history. This card is easy to carry and very comfortable.

If I've been married to Polish spouse for 3 years (2014-2017) and lived 2 years (2015-2017) on a student karta pobytu in Poland, am I entitled to apply for the Polish citizenship ?
