krs-online.com.pl/

upper right corner, fill the box with whatever you have (for example REGON, or just name of the company) then click button "Szukaj"

PS. KRS = Krajowy Rejestr Sądowy = The National Court Register

Why do some NIP numbers when checked not come back with any company details but instead with something like this

Podany NIP jest poprawny

Podany numer NIP został wydany przez:
Urząd Skarbowy w [town name]

Nietety nie posiadamy w bazie podmiotu o podanym numerze NIP.

nip 7781012911

This NIP number belongs to "WIELKOPOLSKI URZĄD WOJEWÓDZKI W POZNANIU" so absolutely not

regon 00056931

Not a valid REGON number, but if it matches the KRS number of a company under liquidation called NOWATEX SP Z O O

So absolutely not, nothing they told you about them is correct, it is fishy and it stinks.

The name also sounds a bit dodgy. 'Focus' means nothing, is not a surname, isn't anything else - are you sure it's right? What type of business did they say they're in?

Forcus, not focus. Autocorrect...

This regon numer is not valid - it should have 9 digits.

7781012911

This numer shows a Voivodship Office in Poznan and the Regon # of this institution is entirely different from what you get.

marcus & forcus

So it looks fake to me (unless it's a part of the state Voivodship Office, which I doubt)

Hello, everybody!
Who can help me find out if a company from Poland is active or not? I am from Romania and I want to import from SESA POLSKA SP Z O O.

I have checked in the link above the KRS number, it seems to be ok, but the site is not in English and I don't know if the company is still active, with all the financial reports active...

Anybody, a little help for me?
I found so many scammers on the internet, that it seems almost impossible to be sure of the reliability of a company....
I am supposed to pay an advance (about 5000 $) and I don't know if I should take the risk...
How could I know that the bank account belongs to the company, and not to some scammer who uses the name of the company in order to cheat clients like me?

Thank everybody in advance!!!!

What do you wish to purchase from the company?

It's certainly a scam. If you look here - sesapolska.com/contact - they don't have any of the relevant company information there. Steer clear - if you want, I can explain more about how to check these things, but it looks like a typical scammer.

There's plenty on the Internet to suggest they're a real company.

I've noticed there's only one mobile tel number, but I checked the VAT, KRS and NIP numbers.... everything looks ok! Even the address and the contact person found on the internet are the same as in my correspondence.

In my opinion, the only problem could be the bank account! I have to check if the owner of the account is this company or some person who just uses this company's name...

So basically what you want to know is whether or not the person you'rebactually dealing with is part of the company in question.

Worth mentioning that they're listed in all the various directories - Panorama firm etc. Worth noting that companies do not supply their own listings for this.

Thank you, Jon, for your answer!
In deed, as you said, I have two issues:
1. The company - is it real, is there a serious person managing it, the products that I want to import, are they for real?
Their site is newly founded. But, as I said before, the firm is listed in official polish documents - as you said, for example, Panorama firm (if I understand correct, the company cannot control this listing).

2. If this company turns to be a reliable one, the bank account they gave me, is the company's bank, for real? Or do I risk to transfer the money in a scammer's account?

1. It's certainly real. About their proprietor and products, I have no idea
2. Your bank should be able to check this (or ask them for confirmation from their bank)

Thank you, Jon! This is exactly what I was thinking to do - check their bank account, with my bank's help.
As for the company, I've contacted infotimes.pl
It costs me 25 Euro to check the company from A to Z.

1. The company - is it real, is there a serious person managing it, the products that I want to import, are they for real?

Well, the first warning sign - the address is in a residential street in Warsaw and from Street View, it doesn't seem like a serious business address for a company that's selling products.

The second warning sign - they're advertising that they can sell alcohol. That seems...wrong.

Could you not use some sort of cash on delivery type service? It's very common in Poland for couriers to collect money when they arrive with the goods, but I'm not sure if it's possible internationally. If not, then I suggest the use of some sort of escrow service.

If you want, feel free to PM me with the price per unit and I'll let you know if it's a realistic price or not.

Raluca,

You can suggest that a third party (for example your nominated freight forwarder or TPI) inspects the goods and makes sure they actually exist before you make the payment.

Delph;

My own company is registered at a residential address, and we are very much a serious business that provides both goods and services :)

I don't know what "nominated freight forwarder or TPI" means.
But infotimes.pl offered me this, for only 25 Euro. I think it is a detailed analysis.

"SCAM/FRAUD CHECK / FINANCIAL REPORT/ CHECK IN POLISH DATABASES OF
DEBTORS - cost for 1 company is 25EUR (prepayment). Report in English.

In report :

Checking if company/website is real or scam.

Then if real providing information regarding:

Principal Address
Former company names
Registration status
Activity status
Legal Form

If company is LTD type or similar:

Capital
Shareholders
Management
Legal Representation
Related Companies

and if company delivered financial data to the Court, report contains:

Balance sheet
Assets
Equity and liabilities
Profit and loss
Liquidity
Arrears
Other key data

All data from official, government databases and main Polish databases
of debt sale and receivables trade brokerage. Also online opinion check,
etc."

I don't know what "nominated freight forwarder or TPI" means.

The freight forwarder is the shipping company or courier.
TPI = Third Party Inspector. This is usually a person you hire from an agency (quality assurance agencies tend to offer this service). The inspector would then visit the supplier on your behalf, examine the goods and send you a report.

Merged: Polish Company Electronic Documents Lookup

Hello,

I don't speak Polish language which is the reason for harder work of my online research. I am searching for electronic documents for particular Polish company but cannot find any website where to lookup them - where to download them. For particular Polish company I am looking for the following documents that must be in either english or german language (preferable english):

Certificate of incorporation
Appointments of directors
Share register or annual report with information regarding ownership verifications
Beneficial owners information - the ones with larger % of ownership
Tax id document - must be document because i already found tax id (nip number).

Could anyone please tell me where could I find those electronic documents for some Polish company?

Kind regards.

Here's a link to the article (in English) in the German newspaper AUTOBILD on Zarevo Car. The article dates back to 2011, however.
