Polish EU Drivers Licence - can I get one the easy way (by paying for it)?

(there's a divided 4 lane road here, where at night, you can do 100km/h comfortably without endangering anyone, because it's empty - it's a 70km/h limit, because it's dangerous during the day)

Me too, the standard of driving during the day is just...insane. Heck, today, it had been raining heavily for hours, yet some idiot was tailgating me while I was doing 60km/h :/

I go to work by foot, sometimes pass out at work. But nothing better than a motorcycle for the city. Full of adrenaline, near death experiences, good fun.

Oh, and kids following us at home. You can't put points on a US drivers license. No use in even switching it over.

I am a International Driver's license holder from a non-european country and I was wondering if this driver's license will allow me to get a polish one, what type of visa should I have to get it and do I need to take a course and more or less what the cost of it is, can you tell me a little bit of the requirements?

Btw if you are going to insult, discriminate or misjugde you better save your energis coz I dont respond to it :)

The IDP isn't a licence, it's a translation of your licence. Anyway, Colombia doesn't appear to have signed the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic, so you won't be able to exchange your licence.

You'll have to be legally resident in Poland for more than 185 days (ie, a long term Visa cat. D or holding some sort of residence card). The course will take 30 hours of theory and 30 hours of practical, the cost is around 1600-2200zl and you'll have to pass a medical examination and a first aid course too. Then the theory and practical test, and you must have a sworn translator present (at your cost) if you don't speak Polish.

Thanks for your reply. Another question raises up: Does this also mean I cant drive with my International Driver's licence in Poland while I sort out my visa? I am going with a tourist visa for now. Does driving require me to hold a polish driver's license or I can use my IDP?

Listen, it is not possible to buy a genuine driving license in the European Union! The only way to get a Polish driving license is if you are a citizen or long-time resident and have a residence permit. Bribing your way through the exam is not a viable option as the instructors are closely watched and it even occurs that conversations in the cars are recorded.

It is possible to buy a fake EU driving licenses of very good quality, but it will never pass for genuine if you are stopped by the police. Keep in mind that being in possession of a fake driving license is a serious criminal offense.

I highly doubt that a Ukrainian driving license can be exchanged for a Polish driving license. The rules are the same in all EU countries and therefore Poland has to apply the same rules as all other member states of the union. Residents of Poland with a Ukrainian driving license would have to pass the exam before they can exchange their driving license for a Polish one.

And no, there is absolutely no exception to the resident rule to get a Polish driving license. Sweden is one of the most expensive and hardest countries in the world to get a driving license in, so it would be a treat for Swedish people if they could come to Poland and get a Polish driving license.

Poland is not some banana republic where money can buy everything. Please keep in mind that I do not imply that it is easy to get a Polish driving license, just that it is much harder in Sweden than in Poland. Do not post your email in the forum as spam bots will pick it up.

Wrong. It's a straight swap due to Ukraine and Poland both signing the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic. And yes, you can obtain a Ukrainian licence without any effort whatsoever - money can certainly buy you a valid and real Ukrainian licence.

However, of course, you must comply with the Polish law on issuing of licences. The interpretation of this law varies though.

Now, the tricky part comes with different EU countries. For instance, the UK won't exchange a licence that has previously been exchanged for an EU licence (for instance - a Ukrainian licence exchanged for a Polish licence).

The test can be conducted at any time by a resident of Poland in possession of a PESEL number.

However, the licence will not be issued until 185 days after the first day of legal residency, as defined by the date of issue of the residence permit. Time spent as a tourist will not count.

There's a theory test, completed on computer. It's also available in English or German - if taken in a foreign language, then a sworn translator must be present for both theory and practical parts. The sworn translator is at your own expense.

Go to Ukraine and buy one there: you can not buy one in Poland (well, you can, but it'll cost a stupid amount of money and/or time).

Wait three years until your ban expires. They don't take away a licence for no reason.

Driving licence, university course etc etc = paper trail, necesssary to help non EU persons to get an EU passport.....maybe one of those perhaps?

I've heard that the easiest way is to pass exam in Ukraine, or bribe Ukrainian to get paper and then ask for replacement in Poland.
