li yung 29 Jan 2014 #1does it effect to me tht my husband working outside poland and i am unemployedthere is any difference between karta pobytu and europa card
sobieski 106 | 2,118 30 Jan 2014 #3I think she means the "European Card", which is issued to non-EU citizens who reside in Poland for 5 (?) years or more, who have a job etc....I think it gives you the right to work here without problems, e.g. not needing a work permit (and residence permit) for every new job.It entitles them to stay in Poland. A Canadian friend of mine use to have it.
OP li yung 31 Jan 2014 #4my husband is not working in poland but we r living i poland i am unemployed living in poland i apply to renew karta pobytu does it effect us tht i am unemployed
Harry 31 Jan 2014 #5does it effect us tht i am unemployedAs far as I know, as long as you (as a couple) can prove that you are able to financially support yourselves and that you have health insurance, it doesn't matter that you aren't working.
OP li yung 3 Feb 2014 #6When u renew kart a pobtau every time police come home to check two times and they call for interview as well
sobieski 106 | 2,118 3 Feb 2014 #7And very good they do this.In my view they should come without telling in advance.
OP li yung 3 Feb 2014 #8I mean the process and time period us same fur renew and new aoplication karta pobytu
Harry 3 Feb 2014 #9In my view they should come without telling in advance.I wasn't aware that they did give advance notice of a visit; I certainly never got advance notice.
scottie1113 7 | 898 4 Feb 2014 #10Nor did I,and they never found me at home. What a surprise! They finally went to my school while I was teaching and accepted my director's statement that I wasn't a criminal. Oh, if only she knew. :)I just got my new karta pobytu, my fourth in my 6 1/2 years here. Not once have I had a visit from the police.
Monitor 14 | 1,818 5 Feb 2014 #12There are people faking marriage, just to get permit to stay and later citizenship. That's why checks are needed, so such people are caught. I think that after 4 - 5 years of your stay in Poland you will get long term permit to stay or citizenship and people will stop visiting you.
OP li yung 6 Feb 2014 #13So every time Polish immigration follows same procedure for karta pobytouO am living with my parents In lawWet will happen if my husband go to work in another country and I stay in Poland
Cardno85 31 | 976 7 Feb 2014 #14I have never had a visit from the police and I have my PESEL and zameldowanie and have done for a year...should I still be expecting a visit?
