British citizen requesting polish criminal record check

I used to study in Poland anD went back to U.K last year. MY new job back home needs my polish criminal check

Wondering do I need to do it in person by going to the department of national criMinal register?
The website said can be by mail but ( is it just for polish citizens ) that can apply by mail?

And as EU citizens we can't get it on the spot....

I looked at the website but it doesn't say anything about foreigners. Just hoping may be someone from the forum had experience.
I was hoping that I dont have to fly back.....
