Hi could someone help me out please.
I'm trying to learn a bit more Polish to supplement some of the modules I'm doing in my firetraining.
I can speak a few words and understand some of the pronunciations and spellings

How would you ask "How many people are in the house?"

I put this in google translator and got "ilu ludzi jest w domu"

Is there anybody trapped in the house? I got -
Czy jest ktoś uwięziony w domu
is this right

can anyone elaborate on these

Many thanks
Dziękuję

google translate is not very good, so dont rely on it too much. i dont know if the translation is correct or not, because i have only learned polish conversationally. i know what i think it should be, but am not about to make myself look like an idiot again! you will get lots of help with translation here, lots of regular posters are pretty fluent, and could advise better than me.

google translate is not very good

just as an example, first time i tried google translate, i typed in the sentence i am confused.translation came back as jestem pomylony ( i am crazy ). not entirely too accurate.

"ilu ludzi jest w domu"

Czy jest ktoś uwięziony w domu

Both are fine. You my also use "w budynku" instead of "w domu" in both sentences, particularly if it's a large building, offices, shops etc.
