Could this Polish actress convincingly pass as a native speaker of English?

Many learners of Polish comment here how difficult the language is, including the rustling pronunciation. In fact, it would be supremely surprising to encounter a native speaker of English with no Polish relatives who could be mistaken for a native speaker of Polish. By the same token, it would be a telling demonstration that English is considerably easier if one were to encounter a native speaker of Polish with no Anglophone relatives who could be mistaken for a native speaker of English.

This person is an interesting case in point. Some would say that she's close to being unrecognizable as an ESL user. I'm wondering what's your impression of her pronunciation (especially native English speakers among you): reddit.com/r/languagehub/comments/1rkztx6/how_would_you_describe_her_manner_of_speaking_can/

what's your impression of her pronunciation

But this kind of instructional/sales video will not have spontaneous casual speech. There's a script and she's probably rehearsed it a lot so it's not a good judge of how she would sound in spontaneous interactions.

Very good, but kind of over-articulated and some endings get very blurred and she mispronounces 'mount' as 'mound' at least once. The r sounds too strong.

And I don't know the current status of "allows for (noun)" in terms of acceptability but it's always grated on my nerves. I prefer "makes (noun) possible/easy".

Just might be native or semi-native (an under-appreciated category*) as some of the weirdness could also be produced by a native in similar circumstances.

*someone whose knowledge of a language came from acquisition rather than learning but hasn't had enough input and/or experience in actively using the language to make fine grained judgements about usage.I remember a semi-native speaker of Polish who came to get to know the country he had left with his family when he was 5 or so. What he knew was native but he had lots of gaps too and sometimes used calques from English because he'd never learned the normal Polish versions.

Thanks for your answer. I agree that the "semi-native" category is under-appreciated and under-utilized: it could disabuse many language learners of the belief that, as non-natives, they are necessarily condemned to the status of inferior users of the target language.
