Feedback / Why are people who can't be bothered to register allowed to post or start new threads? [50]

It says no spam allowed and logs me out.

This problem is beyond my scope and it is best if Admin answers this one. One thing I do know is, to be very careful when using public wifi, they are not very safe and there may be all kind of unscrupulous people trying to steal your details. Try to use private wifi if possible.

Feedback / Polish forums members - please stop being agressive and dishonest. What a waste of potential. [48]

Good Morning Ironside. Did you sleep well?

There are no plans to suspend you at the moment, and you can post whatever you like, as long as it is non-abusive and is in the correct thread. Oh and it would help if it is Polish related.

However I have no indention whatsoever to follow any rules but mine.

Fair play, but don't come running to us if your screen goes blank ;)

You seem to have a fixation about gay threads and gay men lately johnny?

The only logical answer to your bias Moderating is that you are gay yourself.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not gay. Have a nice word with jon and ask if one of his single friends wants a pen friend.

you wanted that thread closed just like all the rest of the LBGT threads that you have closed.

The reason these sort of threads get closed, is because they always end up going off-topic with abuse, and derogatory language towards other members. It happens every time without fail. The forum may be based in the USA but there are rules laid out for members, read rule #3 in full.

This is an American forum and the Mods should respect the American laws and not the E.U. laws.

You claim to have freedom of speech, but do you? Try going up to one of those black guys who's burning down your cities every night, and say stop doing this you moron! Pick one of the biggest guys you can see. Let us know how you get on.

Please post your question and someone will try to answer if they know the answer.

Travel / Travel to Poland from the UK? (COVID time) [50]

I'm getting conflicting messaging saying Poland will allow flights from UK after Jan 6

With the new variant virus getting out of control in the UK, and new cases at a record high, what makes you think Poland (or any other country) will welcome travellers from London, in just over a week's time?

Also it appears people from UK aren't allowed to travel at all unless there is a valid reason.

Not sure if missing your girlfriend is a valid reason. Let us know how it works out for you.

Yes the way the UK govt has handled this crisis is *terrible*.

I agree with you 100%. The UK is only 36 hours away from leaving the EU, there might be new updated information for travellers on the 1st of Jan. Maybe you will be able to pay for a covid test to prove you are negative on the day of travel. Just keep checking the government website. At the moment, they say "anyone living in tier 4 should not travel abroad"

You might argue that freedom of speech has been infringed

Freedom of speech is mostly tolerated on these forums, but when it turns to hate speech that's when it must stop. Dirk/Adrian has used PF for his geo Nazi ideology platform for too long, He has outstayed his welcome many times. I can't believe how many people stick up for him and praise him for being such a great guy. It's looks like the old saying "birds of a feather, stick together" has never been so correct.

Food / British food products in Poland? [334]

Good kebab has lots of veggies and they are integral part

Google how many calories are in a kebab, and then how many calories are in fish and chips. You might be surprised. ;-)

I've never had to mute anyone, so not 100% sure. I think they can still see your posts if they haven't muted you, and of course you may still see quotes that refer to the muted poster..

Feedback / PF Accounts Can No Longer Be Closed [29]

Checking the next day I found that the account was still open

If your username is in black type and not the usual blue, it means your account has been closed. It seems your account was closed before you started this thread.

The content you created as a member will still stay on the forums, partly because if it were to be purged, any post or posts quoting your content in a thread would have to be deleted as well.

Language / Mixed English Grammar Thread [183]

When can we say nobody knows nothing?

"Nobody knows nothing" is colloquial language in the UK, so I guess the double negation wouldn't matter. "Nobody knows anything" is formal and correct.

News / Poland Sports News [981]

Some teams (notably England?) have decided to follow the American trend of athletes kneeling rather than standing during the national anthem.

The UK teams still stand for the national anthem, and take the knee just before KO. They have been greeted with boos by a section of the crowd, while some other sections applaud them. You are correct it is in bad taste and is causing a division across the country. Politics should be kept out of sports.

Let's hope that this Euros final will mark the end of taking the knee, and we won't see it again in football.

result against one of the best teams in the world.

Good result for Poland! I wouldn't go as far as saying they were playing against one of the best teams in the world. What have they won in the last 50 years?

Feedback / Why are threads deleted or send off topic list? [65]

it might be useful to discuss other aspects of Polish Ukrainian relations than aiding Ukraine during the barbaric invasion. I don`t want to start a new thread.

If it was opened, it wouldn't be long before the thread turns to chat about the invasion, and it would just look like the other one. That thread seems to be closed because it went off topic before. Now, would probably not be a good time to open a new thread about Ukraine.

am going to cash out and take my modest profit of $3k.

Soon you may have to change your username to johnny cash. I've never dabbled in stock shares, and I was offered some shares in a storefront glass company in Portland a couple of years ago, but unfortunately I missed the boat.
