Polonia / Marxist-lead BLM Revolutionaries' Assault on Polish Landmarks [13]

Apparently the BLM radicals have unquestioned public and even institutional support worldwide. At least that is if you only follow the main stream media which have been totally owned and manipulated by leftwing demagogues for decades.

But if you were to discover that historical Polish statues and iconography have been targeted, defaced and desecrated by these violent anarchists would you still continue to give them your own moral or even financial support?

Within recent weeks the 110 year old statues of Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pułaski were attacked and heavily vandalized by rampaging mobs of BLM thugs and their fellow ANTIFA terrorists.

Both great men are inspirational heroes in Poland and America. Both great men were true and honorable revolutionaries in freedom's cause both in Poland and America. Kościuszko himself is distinguished too as being a committed abolitionist. An impressive replica of his monument in Washington DC also stands proudly in Warsaw.

Shockingly, this is what the brainwashed BLM cultists think of these great men:

Thankful Poland's ambassador to the US was quick to denounce these vile attacks:

Polish ambassador "disgusted" by defacing of Kościuszko and Pułaski statues in Washington

Link to the Headline: kafkadesk.org/2020/06/01/polish-ambassador-disgusted-by-defacing-of-kosciuszko-and-pulaski-statues-in-washington/

And many Polish Americans and Polish American organizations were quick to clean and restore the statues just in time for President Duda's recent visit to the US where he paid his respects and laid a wreath:

But these unforgivable assaults on Polish symbols aren't limited to within the US.

In the Netherlands too a mosaic replica of Our Lady of Częstochowa dedicated to Polish soldiers who liberated the city of Breda in 1944 was also defiled and daubed with ugly BLM graffiti.

So if you believe in and support the global BLM insurrection (which is an openly declared Marxist-lead operation by the way) then ask yourself why that is and share your answer here on PolishForums.

Polonia / India - review this country (as a Pole) [21]

A sweaty, overpopulated country which doesn't have much modern infrastructure to speak of but does have extreme poverty despite it being the 21st century.

Yet it somehow manages to churn out a surplus of students with "degrees" in STEM which it exports to Western countries to depress wages and meet diversity quotas.

Food / Origin of the pierogi [118]

Never mind the origin.

The important question is when does the noble pierogi stop being pierogi?

The answer is when diversity is championed as a strength but in reality is nothing more than a delusion to be marketed to the masses.

Food / Origin of the pierogi [118]

You will always find places which offer delicious original pierogis straight from your grandma`s kitchen.

As societies diversify all the things you take for granted today eventually become nothing more than nostalgic memories.

coz people have a choice - some choose original pierogis while other their exotic variations - Mexican pierogis, Indian pierogis etc etc.

You answered that yourself:

you can make your own...who forbids you?

Exactly, no need to import excess labor from all over the world when they only end up bastardizing a Polish grandma's recipes.

USA, Canada / Polish people in LA / California [28]

Is there a Polish neighborhood in LA?

No longer but an interesting study was done on the former Polish community in Los Angeles:

Ethnic Identity and Assimilation: The Polish-American Community. Case Study of Metropolitan Los Angeles.

Link to the Title: eric.ed.gov/?id=ED094044

The study is paywalled but copies of this now out-of-print book sometime become available.

It explains that Poles were significant in the City of Los Angeles at the turn of the last century but improvements in communication and transportation dispersed them to the suburbs.

And, as mentioned in other threads on PolishForums, hostile and active discrimination against Polish identity in America left an inaccurate and undeserved stigma of low status among first and subsequent generations of Poles. This targeted negative stereotyping dissuaded many, especially younger Poles, from maintaining their heritage.

Their story is another tragic but unexpected example of diversity being a delusion.

Na, they got out of that place like the rest of the gringos.

There is an excellent and damning video titled "The Fall of California" which gives an unvarnished explanation for this:

youtu.be/PuvofrRKsi0

The title could easily be applied to the entirety of the United States, or Britain, or Sweden, or France, and perhaps even Poland someday in the future.

Unsurprisingly, the Maoist censors at cultural marxist controlled YouTube rabidly despise this video and play a game of Whac-A-Mole trying to purge it; only for it to be reposted by a band of resistance fighters who do not regard the truth as being a form of hate speech.

USA, Canada / Polish people in LA / California [28]

Immigrant Poles contributed much to America in terms of their knowledge, skills, labor, and even their very lives to the defense of their newly adopted country.

The arrival of Poles could and should have contributed to diversity in America. But America did nothing to support Polish communities from maintaining the Polish language, Polish traditions, etc. And as pointed out here and in other threads, Poles were not only unsupported but singled-out, discouraged and even shamed by the broader society into abandoning Polish identity and instead assimilating into a bland melting pot of nothingness save law-abiding, tax-paying consumerism.

That is not the case with other immigrant groups in America who (unlike Poles) can and do receive private and government funding to have education provided to them in their native languages and teachers who share their identity. Who have laws written to give them preferential treatment in hiring decisions based on their national origin; a privilege which does not extend to Poles. Who have entire months of the year set aside by the government which funds events to publicly celebrate the history and culture of their own distinct groups based on their national origin; yet again another privilege which does not extend to Poles.

Why else do you think Polish landmarks in the United States were recently attacked and vandalized by these privileged groups? Because it is the delusion of diversity which demands respect be given to these privileged groups and refused to others like Poles.

Simply speaking, diversity rulez!

What a coincidence. A recent article was published on a study conducted by researchers at the University of British Columbia which found:

"Virtue signalers are, essentially, phonies and showoffs - folks who adopt opinions and postures solely to garner praise and sympathy or whose good deeds are tainted by their need for everyone to see just how good they are."

USA, Canada / Polish people in LA / California [28]

seem to be surprised the USA isn`t a charity. No, it isn`t.

Just watch the news or read up on American policies and legislation. You don't even need to go very deep. You'll be very surprised that the USA most certainly extends charity to certain, special interest groups (but not Poles).

Were they singled out and humiliated as the only minority or it also happened to other minorities?

Many Slavic groups were also on the receiving end of similar mistreatment. But since this is PolishForums we are discussing Poles.

You can point to other groups like Asians, Africans, Hispanics and say they are minority groups who also had it rough in America. Whether they did or not ultimately doesn't matter because as I previously stated such groups are now privileged in America and have government backed policies and programs that favor them.

Poles are not formally recognized as a distinct minority group in America (and never would be either) even though the numbers alone support such as status.

Do you imagine all this mess and chaos if the USA weren`t a melting pot?

And that's why diversity is a delusion. The expectation of assimilation in America was ruthlessly applied to Poles and Poles living in America today enjoy no privileges because of it. Other groups on the other hand not only showcase their national origin but the government and even corporations encourage them to preserve and celebrate it and will give them preferential treatment as well because of it. And that is why the USA is in the chaotic mess you see today.

In a ruthless country, you only get privileges that you are able to secure for yourself on your own.

Exactly. And it's only ruthless for some (like Poles) and smooth sailing for others. As stated, Poles are a numerical minority in America. All the aforementioned privileged groups have many lobbying organizations acting full-time on their behalf. Any Polish organizations which do exist are not and never were lobbying groups because they don't have the money that is needed to influence politicians. And sadly many are comprised and run by people in your age group and so they have your virtue-signaling mindset and would rather chant "diversity rulez (sic)" and spend time and what little resources they have championing anything that isn't Polish.

Love / What can I do so that this Pole will love me? Why does he act like a hero and then breaks my heart? [25]

Don`t worry, I will take care of you. After such words, the woman will go to the end of the world with you.

Oh, perhaps that still works but only for little while.

Clearly you don't understand the true hypergamous nature of women.

But unlike serially divorced older men who never learn their lesson and can't live without female validation, the younger men of today are keenly aware of the phrase "She's not yours, it's just your turn."

Love / What can I do so that this Pole will love me? Why does he act like a hero and then breaks my heart? [25]

@Mr Grunwald

You may agree that increasingly it's becoming common public knowledge.

Sure, the cuckold politicians, crazy feminists, and divorce lawyers hate this awareness going mainstream but oh well.

Smarter, younger men of today have options. They can still date casually, sleep around with women, focus on their careers, their hobbies, their friendships. But they have absolutely no intention of falling into the jaws of a marriage trap and are actually much happier than their miserable, even suicidal, married counterparts.

Today's informed men know that the so-called "mystery of a woman" was always just a way to deceive well intentioned men by covering up what was guaranteed to be a bad deal for them.

Men know they don't have to turn a blind eye to toxic female dysfunctional drama in order to try to hold a doomed relationship together.

It's easier and better to just walk away.

Or better yet, don't get involved in the first place.

Law / My Great GrandMother was born in Poland sometime before 1915 - any chance for Polish citizenship? [37]

To be perfectly honest, I'm getting nervous about anti-Semitism in the United States

You are not being honest at all.

There is a very, very long list of Jewish organizations (especially lobbying organizations) all across the United States to address your concerns if they haven't done so already.

Jews live and work without any restrictions and many can be found at every level of Government (local, state and federal) where policies are shaped, passed into law, and carried out. Again, you can take your concerns to your political representatives or get a lawyer if you have an actual case to be addressed in the courts.

You listed in your profile that you are from the American state of Illinois. The town you listed is literally in the boondocks. Oh, and your current governor by the name of Pritzker is not only a leftwing Democrat but he is Jewish. Did you talk to him yet about your nervousness? Ask him why he doesn't share your paranoia.

As for the state of Illinois you choose to live in, yes you really do face a bleak future but it has nothing to do with you crying wolf on here about anti-semitism:

"We're financially bankrupt, we're morally bankrupt, we're ethically bankrupt ... I hope Washington, D.C. decides that if they're going to send us money, they're going to send us reform as well. Because the average Illinoisan is struggling."

Link to the quote: illinoispolicy.org/pritzker-should-look-to-other-states-to-develop-a-responsible-reopening-plan/

By the way, as an American there is nothing stopping you from moving to 49 other states with just as many isolated areas as you live in now. You can also run away to any several US territories like Guam or Puerto Rico where you can really get away from it all. You can even relocate to more urban areas in the US with larger Jewish communities; some come with their own boundary defining eruv lines.

and with my ancestral connections

Poland is no longer the place you claim your father's father's family came from.

Poland is very homogenous too now, so are you really telling everyone here that you want no part of the unparalleled diversity which only the United States can provide you?

Unsurprisingly, you didn't mention what you would do for Poland if you resettled. Well, don't expect a free ride like you've been enjoying up until now in Illinois.

I'm also considering Israel, obviously

But of course. The true ethno-state. An international pariah, unjustifiably funded with obscene amounts of rubber-stamped American tax dollars which ensures cradle-to-grave welfare for Israeli citizens, and a foreign country which is effectively if not literally worshipped by every single one of your American politicians.

I really am curious though as to why an American like yourself has such a problem with diversity and would rather hide in pale, homogenous countries like Poland or Israel.

Do you think you can pass Israel's DNA test which they now use for those seeking to settle there?

DNA Testing to 'Prove' Jewishness Is Spine-chilling

Link to the headline: haaretz.com/opinion/editorial/dna-testing-to-prove-jewishness-is-spine-chilling-1.7772897

More importantly, do you think Poland should copy Israel and use DNA testing for immigration use? Especially for those like yourself who are looking to run away from your personal problems now that you have reached retirement age.

I'm really looking forward to your "perfectly honest" answers.

History / "Poland Syndrome" should be renamed [45]

Since the Poland Syndrome has nothing to do with Poland it should be re named.

Agreed. Poland as a country is more commonly known than someone in Britain who died nearly 150 years ago.

Thanks to centuries of hostility towards Poland the continued misattribution of the name Poland to a deformity would only make the ill-informed assume it is genetic to those of Polish heritage and could also give anti-Poland haters a motive to bully both sufferers of this condition and Poles in general.

The medical establish could and should come up with a different medical term.

It is a good time to do so as well. Coincidently, a male-hating feminist "doctor" in Australia wants male-named body parts remained because they of course offend her.

New push to RENAME body parts like the Adam's apple and Achilles' tendon because they are 'irrelevant and misogynistic'

Everyone hates the EU.

In 2018 Trump downgraded the EU's delegation in Washington DC from a previously held status equivalent to that of a national embassy to merely an international organization.

And in classic Trump style he didn't even tell the EU in advance he was going to do this.

And here is the opinion from within the EU itself:

I don't know what your childhood trauma is

None here thank you very much but face it you are the one with some very deep seated issues who is on here seeking undeserved pity from a bunch of strangers.

There is no denying that Jews have done extremely well for themselves in the United States and don't face the systemic racism and cyclical poverty and discrimination which any other minority group faces generation after generation.

So rather than you falsely portraying America as being some hotbed for anti-semitism which you need to flee from why don't you go and check your privilege.

There are posts which can be found on PolishForums cheering the decline in church attendance particularly among the young. So any position held by the church doesn't have much of an audience to influence.

News / Thousands of Polish women attend Czarny Piątek rally in Warsaw [780]

Ah yes, the Istanbul Convention. Formally known as the "Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence."

If these feminists truly believed in equality (rather than seeking an even more privileged position for women in society) then they would start by protesting to get rid of the misandrist title and language littered throughout the treaty.

They would be demanding (as repeated research has shown) that women not only be recognized as prevalent agitators and perpetrators of abusive behaviors in domestic relationships but also that they be held to account to exactly the same standard as a man would be.

I'm not talking about those Poles who were forced out of Poland during WWII and the PRL to former Soviet Republics.

I'm referring to those Poles outside the communist bloc who were denied recognition and re-entry into Poland since the 1940s until now by your fellow PRL apparatchiks.

History / Polish Museums and Selective Forgetting [10]

The Historical Museum of the City of Kraków, Poland has a permanent exhibition titled "The People of Kraków in the Times of Terror."

The exhibit rightfully addresses both Nazi and Stalinist terror. But surprisingly the exhibit stops abruptly at 1956.

Sure the "Polish October" (aka "Gomułka's thaw") occurred in 1956 with some liberal policies introduced.

However, these changes still fell far short of Western standards and Poland under the PRL regime was never considered a free country.

Does anyone know why "The People of Kraków in the Times of Terror" exhibition doesn't end in 1989 as it should?

The 1956 cutoff year certainly gives a misleading impression that from 1957 to 1989 a truly utopian era was enjoyed by the denizens of Kraków and communism should therefore be considered "normal."

Clearly for some on PolishForums their daily incantation is "I want my PRL back!"

"the official propaganda line in communist Poland was that the Home Army was an oppressive and reactionary force"

Link to quote: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Home_Army

But let's not selectively forget what also occurred around the mid-1940s:

"'One of the biggest anti-partisan operations by the communist authorities took place from 10-25 June 1945, in and around the Suwałki and Augustów regions of Poland. More than 2,000 suspected anti-communist Polish fighters were captured and detained in Soviet internment camps. About 600 of the "Augustow Missing" are presumed to have died in Soviet custody, their bodies buried in unknown mass graves on the present territory of Russia. The Polish Institute of National Remembrance has declared the 1945 Augustów roundup to be "the largest crime committed by the Soviets on Polish lands after World War II."'

I did mention the exhibit covered the topics of Nazi and Soviet terror and pointed out that it only went as far as 1956.

controls and blinds you

The same can said of you and your always enthusiastic and unquestioning philo-semitism. Your idolizing of this minority group isn't normal or healthy whether you are a part of them or worse if you are not.

And it is a safe bet that your obsequiousness is not really voluntary but actually rooted in fear. It reminds me of the 1960's American show The Twilight Zone and an episode titled "It's a Good Life" where all the adults in a town are terrified of a six year old child who has the power to make people vanish if they displease him.

Here is part of the plot summary: "Everybody is under his rule, even his parents. The people live in fear of him, constantly telling him how everything he does is "good," since he banishes anyone thinking unhappy thoughts into the otherworldly cornfield from which there is no return."

Here is the link to read more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_a_Good_Life_(The_Twilight_Zone)

Today such powers are called "cancel culture" and are a punitive reaction for committing wrong think as decided by today's intolerant totalitarian leftists (who are the descendants of yesterday's intolerant totalitarian leftists). And as a leftist yourself you need to realize that all leftists get trapped in a purity spiral. You can accuse others today of hatred for not joining you in worship of your idols but tomorrow your idols will denounce you as a hater for not fawning over them enough.

History / Roman Dmowski-Patriot, Nationalist, Anti-Semite? [237]

What else is being lied about?

A great deal and on both sides.

Some Marxist agitators on PolishForums deliberately want to mislead the public by pushing the notion that Jews in Poland were always victims. That these so-called passive overachievers did everything to contribute and integrate but Poles kept holding them back and knocking them down.

Of course these repeatedly told boldfaced lies are always purposefully spread propaganda.

For instance, many Jews in interwar Poland were attracted to Zionism because it "offered them a way to come to terms with the modern world without surrendering their ethnic identity."

Link to the above quote: academic.oup.com/jcs/article-abstract/25/2/371/830303?redirectedFrom=PDF

How very telling that as recently as the early to mid 1900s there were many Jews residing in Poland (with some still alive today) who admittedly never identified as being Polish and actively sought avenues and safety in numbers so as to protect and preserve their Jewishness rather than integrate into wider Polish society.

Fast forward to today, where this same Zionist movement has its own foreign homeland in the Middle East, and there are now very serious and publicly admitted misgivings, doubts and hurt among a much younger generations of Jews: "as a Jewish person, I was fed a huge amount of lies about Israel my entire life."

Link to the above quote: jacobinmag.com/2020/07/seth-rogen-israel-occupation-palestine

If young Jews are being told lies about Israel by the adults in their own community, then the blatant lies that are being spread about Poland by visiting Jews to your high school only proves that this is a well funded, well coordinated, and very sinister program at play.

Anyone who supports Zionism while hypocritically decrying Polish patriotism or nationalism is never, ever, worth listening to. They have no credibility whatsoever; right off the bat.

bench ghetto

LOL!

You are quite the sophomoric student in serious need of a long overdue lesson.

A) True or False, Jews have a long tradition of separating men and women in their community during religious services and school teaching for all age groups and is still practiced by some Jewish communities today.

Hint:

B) True or False, shtetls in Poland were market towns which were freely inhabited and exclusively by Jews where they enjoyed social stability, homogeneity, and the preservation of their own language, traditions and religious practices.

Hint:

Bonus points if you can not only identify the above structures and where they stand today but also provide a full explanation as to why marauding "bench ghetto"-enforcing Poles never raised them to the ground.

Extra bonus points if you can explain why the above structures are so amusingly large for a community which you propagandize as being segregated, downtrodden, poor and therefore oh-so deserving of everyone's pity and unreserved apologies.
