I supposed that if you want to transfer money in Poland, it's to use it locally (and thus a need to convert it at some point).

Free as in no fixed fees maybe... but in our experience, conversion fees applied by banks are often around 3-5%. You might want to check the conversion fee applied in your last transfer to make sure it is really free.

we all know that money transfers are expensive (even more when you look at the hidden conversion fees) and I was wondering what were the percentage applied to your transfer.
