Travel / Free days for museums in Krakow? [2]

Greetings
I heard in Krakow there few special days in which tourist / students can visit free museums or tourist points like wawel castle etc.
Can you please guide days and how to get ticket.
i know Krakow is beautiful city with many museums and sightseeing but I am interested in National museums and wawel castle specially.

I experienced cracovian very friendly and helping and I hope this time again i will get some good answer more then expectation with many other tourist points details.

I am living in my university hostel in Krakow and thinking to move in city and rent a room in shared apartment where I can live like in home. I do not know behaviours of people in Krakow, how they live and treat their apartment partner, safety and any other cautions. I am student and do not like drink , smoke , parties all the time.

What is preferred between hostel and renting a room?

How can I get a suitable room in Krakow ?
