History / WWII - who really was the first to help Poland? [901]

I dislike Stalin and Soviets

You "dislike" Stalin and the Soviets? You should hate them, do you know how many Poles they killed? and what they did to your country?

therefore vrits and french have Polish blood on their hands for more than 67 years now...

No, Germans and Russians hav got Polish Blood on their Hands. I don't think a single Polish person was killed by British or French hands.

Poland was jointly invaded by Hitler and Stalin, Stalin was meant to invade on the same day, but held back to make it look like he wasn't invading, but merely going into Poland to protect the last bit from further invasion.

History / WWII - who really was the first to help Poland? [901]

My grandma remembers how her family was waiting for the British and French to come in and help Poland with the invadors, nobody came,

How could they help Poland? are you a little baby nation that always need an adult nation to look after you? probably our army was no bigger than yours or well armed, and we are a long way away from Poland unlike your friends the Russians, why didn't you ask them for help?.

When was that cartoon printed?

History / WWII - who really was the first to help Poland? [901]

EDIT: I'm no history expert, but from what I recall nobody joined the war with the sole intention of "helping" Poland. They were all in it for themselves.

Yeah, evil selfish people!!!! Helping Poland is the only important thing in Life!

Churchill also sold out Poland as was evidenced during the various Big 3 negotiations

That's just Communist mis-information to make you hate and resent the West.

...... and if more support was given to the Spanish Republic, Hitler would never have invaded Poland.

What? and turn spain into just another Soviet Province? The Spanish wer lucky that the Stalinists didn't Win!

History / WWII - Battle of Britain and Poles [104]

You must have heard; next thing you'll be telling us that you haven't heard how Britain sold Poland to the Soviets for three pound fifty and a packet of crisps!

Very good.

Well, it's obvious Poland single handedly won the war, it was our fault they got invaded, they single handedly rescued UK from bankruptcy and they are the single most, bestest, most perfectest, most wonderful people in the world.

You are, indeed, the Voice of Reason.

UK, Ireland / Websites for Poles to benefit from Britain! [210]

edit, to clarify, that was 3rd in foreign born people arrested...the totals for non British people arrested is *only* 13 % of all arrested.

edit to clarify, people with British passport, whether they are black, brown Yellow Mixed race or Foreign get counted as "British". these riots wer Black in origin with parasitical hangers-on and wanna-bes and losers joining in, lots of them foreigners, Albanians etc.

44 nationalities wer involved!

UK, Ireland / Many Polish in England don't study or work. How is it possible? [39]

Tory: I share your opinion 100%. Those countries were not ready but I believe they were accepted only so western companies would go there very easily because of cheap labor and thus destroying jobs in the west.

No, it was to stop them going back to Communism. We couldn't believ it was over, one of the most oppressiv and ruthless and aggressively expansionist ideologies in History and they just gave up, no way wer they going back!

Life / What are those scars and cuts on many Polish guys' arms? [21]

The tattoos on the side of eyes or on eyelids clearly indicate ex-cons, former prisoners. Such tattoos are a part of a jail code called grypsera. Such men are to be avoided.

Looks stupid.

Law / Pakistani married to Polish Girl in Sweden [40]

Pakistan ranks 113th among 120 countries regarding literacy rates, only 55% of Pakistanis can read and write.

All these guy's opportunities are the expense of a Swede or a Pole, Sweden has just become a playground for swarm of third-Worlders, exploiting and abusing a system that it took Sweden hundreds of years to build.

History / Churchill and Poland [121]

No, I don't think so. The Polish government-in-exile (in London) was defamed and ridiculed as cowards

No they weren't. Poles wer, up and until recently, held in high esteem, especially these chaps, I hav NEVER ever heard any negativ thing said, or implied, about the Polish soldiers of WWII. We had the 303 squadron clip in The Battle of Britain film, I think they wer in Italy and took a large part in a major battle I hav never heard of jokes about Poles, especially dating from those days.

Who are you addressing?

You, Pauline, that twat got in between our posts.

You wrote yourself:"Every country has a similar their own country-centric version of the events of WWII."Something that was good for Britain, could be at the same time bad for Poland.Poles don't have a duty to praise Churchill for absolutely everything he did. Some of his decisions can be seen as controversial.

Don't you think you hav been had, the Communists hav firmly indoctrinated you Poles. It must take great deal of effort to think Churchill as an enemy of Poland.

dude, you gave me a link to a Yalta comment. you believ him to hav "sold-out" Poland. This whole thread is full anti-Churchill rhetoric, accusing him of all sorts of things.

[************************** such a softie, citizen67, if you think what you read on this forum is hatred for the British, there's much more hatred for the Polish on here and we don't cry, do we? And you think people in Poland hate Churchill? Seriously, they don't care about him enough to hate him. Just relax a bit and tame your imperial sense of self-importance[/quote]

don't cry? You come across as the most whining, wimpish people going, like big babies, who blame everything on everybody else and accept responsibilities and won't admit when they hav done something wrong. Denial seems to be the Polish way.

It is Polish people who hav a Imperious, snooty, snobbish, pompous way.

Poland was used during ww2 to destroy Germany economy to create Anglo-Saxon dominance of world, did you know that Hitler central bank was independent and issue money without debt.

And why on Earth would you write that in Poland 'Stalin is admired and considered a "Good Guy"'? Can you explain to me this idiotic statement of yours?

can you explain why Churchill is hated?

What does "reviled" mean?

Hated, loathed, held with contempt.

As far as assessment of historical figures by Poles is concerned - even putting Stalin and Churchill in one sentence is laughable and shows that you either have no idea about Polish history and Polish views or there's something wrong with your head.Let's just say that this song have nothing to do with Churchill:

I hav experienced nothing, but hatred of Churchill, and the British on this forum, since I came here. Churchill seems to used to used to justify every piece of bad behaviour and benefit-claiming by Poles, not only on here, but on other forums as well. I would like to know what Churchill did?

News / New uniforms for Polish Army [30]

Thank you for your support, but the British army has had a lot of problems with its basic equipment, the assault rifle SA80 was a disaster and had to be resurrected, the helmet M6 was hated, it pushed forward over the soldier's eyes when the soldier was prone, the camouflage was inadequate and has now been replaced, we didn't hav knee-pads despite being suggested back in the 1980's and armour when we started the Afghan War, our equipment is several decades behind the American and French equipment, our only innovation to military in the last 3 decades has the wearing of the Arab shemagh and gloves.

News / Polish man burns his head after mistaking iron for phone [11]

Tomasz Paczkowski from the northern Polish town of Elblag now sports bandages around his head after a request from his wife to help with the housework while he enjoyed a few days off work backfired.

"My wife had gone to work and asked me to help with the housework," the 32-year old told the Polish newspaper Fakt. "After breakfast I started to work. I turned on the boxing channel on the TV, opened a beer and started ironing.

"I was really getting involved in the boxing and was not really thinking about what I was doing," he continued. "Suddenly the phone rang and I mucked things up: instead of grabbing the receiver I picked up the iron and put it to my ear."

Mr Paczkowski said a burning sensation on his ear soon made him realise his mistake. To compound his misfortune a dash to the bathroom to cool his burn with water resulted in his head hitting a door frame, causing an injury just above the left eye.

Who do you hate?

Are you saying that Churchill ISN'T denigrated in Poland. He's been turned into a Hate-Figure by the old Communists.

Poles blame Churchill for their plight after 1945 and lack of Freedom, not STALIN!

And what is your point?

Fait acompli

The only people who seem to like stalin are far left nuts in what was LM and North Koreans.

There is grudging admiration and secret veneration of Stalin in many ex-Communist countries where he was seen as a "Tough Man", Poland must be a fĂșcked up country, where Churchill is denigrated, and Stalin is admired and considered a "Good Guy".

Yeah I said tha

So? Most Poles don't know that.

Nonsense...Empire day, Empire Games,...

Victorian inventions for little children. People in Britain had already accepted that the countries of the Empire wanted to go their own way.
