That's the difference between Poland and Germany. In Poland there are certain cultural structures that keeps the society civilized despite of political circumstances. This was already put in test during partitions and communist times.

In Germany, however, the whole society could easily be shaped like a lump of clay by those who hold power.

Modern Germans, in my opinion, are not a fully cililized nation but a half-savages put in order by strict laws. Everything needs to be sanction by rules or else you wouldn't know how to behave properly.

@BratwurstBoy is more of a diplomat and full of it. Can be bit dull-witted at times but he has his moments :-)

And that's why, historically speaking, Germany had their ass kicked by Poles on many occassions.


Some enemy. In case of a potential conflict they would be pacified by the US military bases itself which are located in Germany. That's why they are so keen of this 'EU army' project and reducing the role of NATO (read: America) in peace keeping in Europe.

Apart of that, Poland didn't back down to IIIRd Reich and would definitely not back down to a Bundesrepublik which is a military dwarf. If Poles stood firm in the face of Hitler's and Stalin's aggression what worse could those modern German cucks unleash on us?

I'm glad that some Germans are so open about their real attitude towards Poland, and central Europe in general. Otherwise people here would be constantly deceived by cunning German weasels such as @BratwurstBoy :-)

Oh, but you do. That Soviet march of 1944-45 have left Germans scared to the bone. Mostly East Germans, though, since Americans have saved your asses in the West.

Russia is an economic dwarf, that's true, but Germany is a military dwarf. And shall stay that way.

Poland and Germany have different interests and political aims. Basically, in German interest is to control - politically and economically - central Europe and in Polish interest is to be strong enough to be able push them away and form a coalition of countries between Germany and Russia strong enough to withstand the pressure from both sides. It's a zero sum game and there's no win-win situation here.

What's positive is that now we've got some room, and some time, to manouver and get stronger before the next strong push which will happen inevitably as history of Europe teaches us.

The issue is not a number of MEPs but an overall political symbol. German minority have lost all their privileges in Poland after most of them converted into 'volksdeutsche' and acted as a 5th column against Poland and Polish interests before and during WWII.


And since we cannot keep a geographical distance we should maintain a political one. Nothing good ever came to Poland from Germany, perhaps except for potatoes.

Trading with Germany is fine. When it comes to modern culture and social life they've got nothing of value to offer to us. And geopolitically they're under American boot. Why would we talk with them if we can talk directly with the US?

@Lenka, then you should vote for Konfederacja. They have politicians, like G.Braun, J. Korwin-Mikke, who are legalists and believe that the law should be obeyed to the letter. But they don't give a high note to a current Polish law nor constitution and they want to change it.

Political support, or lack of thereof, is not constant. I believe in certain circumstances constitutional majority can be achieved in the next parliament. Obviously not only by PiS, they'll have to make political consensus with other growing factions like Konfederacja.

PiS is now using same methods initited in the past by the current judges. They are not breaking the law but interpretting it differently. A 1997 Kwasniewski's constitution itself is unclear on those matters and was written in such manner that can be interpreted in different ways.

A new constitution should be the next step because this one's got too many shortcomings.

I thrive very well, thank you.

But yes, during PRL era many valuable and virtuous people were pushed down to make place for human thrash who were dispositional to a communist party. I understand that those who received unawarded priviledges want to keep them and will fight for it.

Who I find amusing, though, are those naive people who want to defend a pathological system that kickes them in the ass on a daily basis because they think that they're fighting for a "free judiciary" in Poland. There's no cure for fools.


A well-being of Poland is above all political symphaties. And Poland is still being eaten by post-commie parasites. When a patient has tapeworms a doctor doesn't discuss a therapy with the parasite but removes it. And that's how I see all those "judges" who started their carreer in PRL and thrived through martial law of 1981...

Post-communist means those who started in a communist era and kept their positions and priviledges well into IIIRP. And also those young ones who have inharited their positions only thanks to their parents being a prominent apparatchiks in PRL times.


We've tried this evolutionalry method for 30 years and it didn't improve things at all. Those who have died or retired were replaced by a younger ones from the same political swamp. A judiciary pathology has managed to replicate itself in the next generation. To effectively treat this cancer you need to cut off a degenerate tissue.

That's a typical totalitarian point of view, deciding for the others: "in my opinion they don't need then hence they shouldn't have them".

Well, tough break since I will have one this spring just like over 120k fellow hunters in Poland. Every men should be able to defend himself, his family and his household. And to be able to use a gun effectively in cause of war, which happens quite often in this part of the world.
