well, of what I know from this forum, you live in the states, right? If so then you know the difference. We also drink and sing (you have to admit, most of times better, lol)but no one is really yelling or puking at the table or falling of the couch etc.

OK, I'm gonna make a short list of towns where I used to live in Poland
Krasnik, Lublin, Swidnik, Pulawy, Siedlce, Radzyn Podlaski, Mikolajki
(not counting towns where are just stopped by for a night or two. Most of times other teachers or older students invited me to their parties. It was fun here and there but most of times it was a waste of time.

When I lived in Poland I came to the conclusion that it's really hard to find people to have fun with. Polish guys (I mean majority of them) never have fun unless they get wasted and then start "singing"(nothing against singing if it was singing, lol) loud as hell (basically yelling)and women are sitting around them not really knowing how to handle this situation and eventually some of them shut down completely and the rest starts acting like their boyfriends.

What kind of experiences have you made?

is still present in Poland. I've met quite a few Poles who openly showed their hatrded toward jews

Cost of Living, Average Salaries and Job sites in Poland

well, according to what I've experienced in Poland, the wages don't cover the cost of living. I was spending about 3000zl. a month just for my accomodation and food. Most of people I've met were making anywhere between 600zl.-1200zl. Now I'd like to ask our Polish friends here how they manage it with their survival.

well, I'm saying what I've experienced on my own. I know now it's a part of Poland.
I'd like to add something to it, from my point of view a person is what it feels to be. Your history guys is very complicated and your western territories have been changing hands all the time so I leave it up to the people, let them be whoever they feel to be.

You need to go to some Kashubian pub and start shouting that Kashubians aren't Poles. Then you will learn for sure :)

I"ve met some of them and they told me they were Germans and spoke German to me too.

well, if you put it this way, we're still "the big boys on the block". Just look at the Soviets, they were always broke but still very powerful. The recession has nothing to do with it and even if it had, look at all the others, they also have problems and not smaller than us at all.

people seating close to eachother always got different sets of questions I rememmber a teacher that had 12 different sets (we would take the test in small groups so each student had a different one)...

to be honest I don't know the statistics but I guess percentage wise it's about the same (please help me out cousins from UK on that 1). :-)
