Travel / Traveling within Poland into my destination city - Lublin (from Warsaw airport) [43]

PolskiBus is great! Took the bus from Warsaw to Lublin last weekend, and was very happy with everything. It's probably not ideal for a longer trip, though, unless train tickets aren't within budget.

Language / Weird Polish dialect [15]

Hello!

I was talking to my grandmother a few weeks ago, via Skype, and she casually mentioned that she can speak some Polish (though I knew her grandparents were from Poznan, this was news to me.) She mentioned that a number of words she was taught are different from standard Polish, for example, "buza" (z = zh) instead of "babcia." Does anyone know of any resources for Polish regional dialects? I'd love to learn some new words for her.

I'm moving to Lublin in the fall, and may need to buy a few pieces of furniture. No IKEA there yet, to my knowledge. Any suggestions?

Real Estate / Rent in Lublin - approximate cost? [5]

Does anyone know what I should expect to pay for a 50-70m, 2-3 room flat in Lublin? I've been looking online at flats in Srodmiescie and near LSM. I'll be teaching at KUL, so I'd like to be relatively close. Prices seem to be much lower in the southern part of the city, but prices vary so much, it's hard for me to tell. Also, if anyone knows any agencies, I'd be greatful for the advice. I have a contact who's supposed to help me find a place, but she's pretty busy and might not have the time this fall. Dziękuję!
