News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

Some people will never change .

You know it is true.

Are you defending Mr Get Quick Rich because he is Jewish like you . Be more objective and judge the situation with some brain . Who sold 100% beef hamburgers with horse meat traces to the public ? ABP and Silvercres or some Polish company ? Who was responsible for food safety final control . If you still say it was fault of a Polish company there is another question . Would ABP and Silvercrest buy and pay for sh*t if a Polish company wrapped it and labelled as beef too ? The quality control system did not exist in both Irish companies , if it was they would not sell it to the public as 100 % beef burgers . To me looks like a scam of ABP .

And also it is strange that Irish company workers could not tell the difference between both meats as it was sold in pieces .

Every part of the product is sampled and tested in Polish companies and we know what we eat .

BTW if you buy processed food just read what it is written on the label with small letters , you will find out that in some meat processed products meat contents are as low as 20 % the rest are fillers . If you buy burgers or hot dog sausages read llabels to be aware what you eat .

Rude and Moaning as ever, however it seems that most of us can read better than you.

Oh really ? I doubt that you can read yourself . Why are you saying and repeating things like :

The Polish company weren't robbed of the horsemeat at gunpoint. Nobody twisted their arm into committing fraud. If they Irish firm were trying to cut a deal (note the if), anyone would have said no if they were honest.

And now, they've sown an unpleasant seed in the minds of shoppers about the reliability of food products from Poland.

Things are under the investigation right now . No fault has been proved so far on the Polish side .

Mr Czerniej - who runs Food Service with its co-founder Zofia Sypula - insisted the company was not the source of the contamination.

He said: "We have never bought or handled horse meat, we couldn't have been the source of contamination.

On Friday the Polish authorities said that all the tests had come back negative and suggested the source of the contamination may be in Ireland or England.

Jaroslaw Naza, the deputy head of Poland's general veterinary inspectorate, said: "Everything we have done suggests to us that the source of the contamination was not in Poland.

"How has this happened? Someone probably changed documents. I know thatthe authorities in Ireland are looking for changes of labelling and documents.Maybe it is in England?"

So far, the Polish food is healthy, tasty and reliable, having restrictive procedures . BTW , horse meat is not poisonous , but Poles don`t consume it as horses are treated in Poland very specially with great sentiment . Although some farmers grow horses for meat which I find very deplorable but it is exported to Western Europe mainly to France, Belgium and Italy where it is regarded as very lean and healthy kind of meat .

The Polish company

Can`t you read , isthatu is saying , don`t mix Poland and Polish with the word company ( in this he is right as they are now multinational entities ) , but personaly I was not mixing . I was against that ( if you bother to read my posts) And also so called "Polish plot "was too emphasized by the Irish minister and the media . This Lary Goodman was the owner of the plant based in Poland , so why are you calling it Polish ?

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

From what you are saying I am sure that this Lary Goodman knew exactly what he was doing and was aware of every action his company made including contaminating burgers with horse meat if he owned that Polish plant . So his dealings with meat scandal were planned and well camouflaged from the stage of meat processing to the final stage of selling burgers . It was very easy for him to manage such a scam as he was the owner of all involved plants . So I am more disgusted by framing Poland in something which could be called "one man show" .

meattradenewsdaily.co.uk/news/210412/argentina___larry_goodman_inducted_into_the_meat_trade_news_daily_quothall_of_fame.aspx

What a fascinating way of life from a 15-year-old school dropout selling sheep-gut for sausage skins to a Bentley man , haha. Brilliant ,but he forgot to inform us how he was cheating - first Arabs and later Europeans ( including burger King and McDonald`s ) by putting crap into hamburgers . Multimillionaires have their unique way of getting rich quickly , don`t they , education is unnecessary burden .

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

I guess the Irish were the producers of burgers . Silvercrest should be blamed , not us . As a producer selling 100% beef burgers it failed and its system failed , so your minister shouldn`t blame us but find scamers and punish them instead of debating so called Polish plot .

I have nothing against you and other good Irish people , but those morons who abandoned so many animals I would sent to jail for cruelty to animals . Here in Poland some horrible people neglect animals and in most revealed cases they are sentenced for cruelty under the Polish Criminal Code .

News / Poland is the source of horsemeat in burgers? [169]

Great another company in Ireland has found horse DNA in imported meat from Poland.

The article says :"The investigation has shown that all implicated raw material ingredient is labelled as Polish product," the department said.

WTF - they ordered product from Poland . I am asking : " so what ?. They ordered something , so and they received something . Are we responsible as just a suplier that the producer made something unlawful from the delivered product in a scam operation .

Typical action , blame Poland for everything . And besides Polish weterinary service checked 14 co-operating plants and every sample was horse DNA free.

I guess the Irish are killing now the wandering horses and let the British to eat them as so many Irish left those poor horses without food and care letting them to die or be caught to be killed .

Irish- heartless people , I can`t belive what you did to these poor animals .

News / THE PARTYS OVER... NO MORE EUROS FOR POLAND'S ROADS [71]

Those bastards!!!

EU clerks don`t understand themselves why they did it . Not only that Polish actions were headed to detect such frauds , it is not enough that we found such a scandal but we were punished for it. Better would be to do nothing, and no one would know. Shocking.

In March funds will be released again , don`t worry .

There was no Poland to speak of during that time, so the Germans must have "robbed" their own country then. Pretty stupid of them, don't you think?

The most stupid statement I have ever heard . No comment .

Real Estate / Astounded by the poor value of residential property here in Wroclaw [92]

InWroclaw - you should start looking for a flat at the internet, in sites like : domgratka.pl, gumtree.pl, otodom.pl, domiporta.pl, wspollokator.pl. Otherwise you will be treated like an intruder by agencies who deal mainly with selling new developements or renting commercial space as their main trade.

So yes, there is indeed a big rental market.

Don`t you read the data, the big rental market refers to commercial space only. 98 % of Polish live in commercial rent free dwellings.
Why can`t some people argue for just the sake of it. If some information can be called by some as advantageous for Poland, immediately there is a reply that it can`t be possible.

peterweg is right in his statement .
70 % of Polish live in own houses or flats. The rest, that is, to 29.1 percent of housing dwellings include state or municipal premises belonging to TBS, National Forests, Polish railway which is PKP , Polish army - Wojskowa Agencja Mieszkaniowa , etc., which qualifies as a lease according to Eurostat but at non-market prices. The prices are very small and it can`t be put on the market for obvious reasons because it is connected with the job only. If you join the Polish army you will get for an entire lifetime a state owned flat for some pennies, currently it is 4.70 Zl per square meter a month. So it is easy to calculate, the cost could be 250 Zl a month for 2 bedrooms flat. But it is excluded from the commercial market. Most cooperative apartments are also privately owned called in Poland as Spółdzielnia Mieszkaniowa which is not by all means municipal housing, which is a state owned dwelling which is called TBS. TBS counts for 5 % of the whole market, which is not much. Some foreigners misinterpret those two types TBS with SM - komunalne i spółdzielcze. "Komunalne” means municipal housing, spółdzielcze means owned by cooperative, which a form of private ownership with is given rights of voting and deciding about common property and it management of common spaces like green areas, repair funds.

After filtering the percentage turns out that in terms of a commercial lease it pertains to only 2% of people.

Because these roads were built by the Germans before the war..

Liar ! Germans only bombed our infrastructure and have been robbing our country for years since 1772 -1918 , 1939-1945 . Can`t you understand that now it is the time to pay us for stolen goods and ruining our country . Germany wouldn`t be halfway where they are now without stealing from us - goods ,arts , gold , factory equipmant , employing slave wartime workers over 2 million of Polish men, women and cildren aged 14 - 60 .

I don`t want to argue with you , but if you say something , think before . Only 2.2 % of people rent flats in Poland .
There is a market for renting flats among students mainly . So this market exists , but don`t tell me that this sector demands high priced flats . So I think the value of an average flat can`t be so high in Poland . In student cities the value is overpriced for obvious reasons - like eg. Warsaw etc.

Don't be silly.

You are so silly claiming this rubbish . You probably don`t speak Polish , that`s why you can`t read statistics , newspapers or data included in the internet . So , you have no idea about the surrounding world .

There is no real flat rental market in Poland and it is rather undeveloped in English or German terms . Because there is no big demand for rental flats there is a shortage in supply . That`s why you are on the waiting list.

Use your google translator to read this article , maybe you will understand the subject and Poland`s reality in a matter of housing market .

Many years ago there was a similar situation with commercial rental space . But today this market is expanding with such a force that the new office buildings in Warsaw for example are constructed with unprecedented progress on the world scale .

The real estate market built and purchased for the purpose of commercial rent in Poland is still in its infancy - this is the conclusion from the latest Eurostat report on the European housing. Although their lives more or less the same percentage of the population , as in the old EU countries , however, the lease on a commercial basis only uses 2.2 percent . residents. It's not much , but the trend is growing.

According to Eurostat data , for 100 apartments in Poland almost 31 occupied by persons who are not entitled to them the right of ownership . Poland ranks the seventh in Europe, and ranks among the wealthier Western countries. Similarly, for example . In the UK, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

This is the newest project in the financial district in Warsaw

A flat that is not much bigger than one normal sized room split into a bathroom and bedroom, for 1800 a month? When most Poles are lucky to earn 2500 a month?! WTF?!

The answer is simple - people in Poland do not rent flats , they own them !

What a relief that the prices of candies in the ranking of the quality of life were not taken into account

History / How Poland was losing her intelligentsia [19]

Another example of an engineer who was born in Kraków - Pomagalski Jean (born in 1905 in Krakow, died., in 1969 in France) - French engineer of Polish descent, known as the inventor of the poma-lift system . In France they know his Polish origins but in wiki- Eglish version - under POMA - nothing is said about him and his Polish nationality . Skiers around the world use his invention every day not knowing that it was invented by a Polish engineer in 1935 .

Jean POMAGALSKI Deuxième pionnier en France, il construit «l'Eclose» le premier téléski de l'Alpe d'Huez à traction par «sellette»

pierremontaz.fr/pierre-montaz-pages/livre-pionniers-pomagalski.htm

English wiki says nothing about him , just this -Poma, also known as Pomagalski S.A. is a French company en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poma.
The same applies to Leitner POMA official site . Because it is now merged with Leitner , they write about its founder Gabriel Leitner , who was agriculture machinery maker , but nothing about Polish inventor whom they should thank to for their worldwide usage of their products, domination and expansion . WITHOUT MERGING WITH POMA, LEITNER WOULD BE ONLY MAKING SNOW GROOMERS . POMA would not exist without Jan Pomagalski the inventor and founder of lift system and POMA company .

What they say it is just this :

The name "Poma" comes from the founder, Jean Pomagalski, who developed the first detachable type surface lifts in France in 1935. From that beginning in the early days of the sport of skiing, Pomagalski, S.A., based in Grenoble, France, has become one of the largest manufacturers of ski lift and other cableway transportation in the world. "Poma" is known today in over forty countries worldwide. Poma came to America in the early 1950′s

It is so unfair that today they don`t want to admit in their website under history section , that their world dominance comes from a decent Polish engineer.

Polish are capable of, and many of them could be named geniuses in Poland, unfortunately, there are no conditions for their development.State expenditures on science are ridiculously low.

Example : geniuses fighting for financial resources for their salaries which they accumulate , but funnily everything is taken away by the state

History / How Poland was losing her intelligentsia [19]

I think that Pawian understood my hidden intentions . I created my post about an engineer Stefan Kudelski for two reasons - as a posthumous memorial, but also to show Polish postwar sad reality where our intelligentsia had to move out of Poland to become a part of other countries elite society , instead of building Poland`s economy and strength . Not only Poland lost so many of them in Katyń - Miednoje massacre but additinally after the war due to so many refugies escaping communism .

You are right . It is frustrating that the press does not write about it, and TV does not inform. They just constantly move around the same subjects , mainly about fighting of the two opposition parties , such foolishnesses that you can not take them seriously.I feel embarrassed for these politicians. Palikot movement is an extreme example of this.

Reconstructed castle in Bobolice:

Amazing piece of architecture and incredible reconstruction work . Very nice .

One advantage of comunism in Poland was that such castles became national treasures opened to everyone and serving to all people as museums, not just wealthy prince and his family . Nationalization in this sector was a boon for the people and the art itself.

Recent can mean what you wish it to at the time of print. If you would like to contact the author of the article who is Polish I am sure she will advise you on her interpretation of the meaning of the word recent/ly in the context of her work.

This man awkwardly used a word "recent" in quite different context , but he meant recent number comparing with overall number as everybody knows that Polish immigrants were flocking to UK earlier ( before 2004 ).

Why can`t you admit this obvious fact . I don`t see the point of arguing any longer over this .

No , I still don`t agree with you , because it was you who said

What is the meaning of your senseless dispute over obvious data .

TommyG - you are 100 % right about Polish women .
The vast majority is well-mannered ,modest , caring , romantic , responsible , thrifty.
Don`t listen to all those haters who are so bitter that they couldn`t find some fine Polish lady.
They are just jealous and pathetic

Oh , and TommyG - you are right , there is plenty of snow in Poland today . The Warsaw Old Town looks like a fairy tale tonight .

they are man-grabbing, possessive, traditional, opinionated, narrow-minded, frigid mini-matriarchs

What an sleazy expert you are on this subject . What has happen to you that there is so much negative emotions inside you .

Life / Poles love of knights and battle. [10]

Stop being silly Monia, just leave us boys to compare portcullis sizes and go and bake some nice cakes or something ;)

Your statement only shows your chauvinistic attitude towards women .
As a matter of fact, things look quite different from your insular way of reasoning.
You are obviously far from being an objective person. I don`t know who you are , why are you so interested in posting on forum which is Polish and about Poland while you are British residing in Doncaster . I am quite aware that your knowledge about Poland is very limited by the fact that you don`t speak Polish.

That`s why your historical knowledge is obscure, backward, narrow- minded. Anyways I will try to give you a closer look at our history.
Poles are a very proud nation and we nurture whatever is connected with our heritage and naturally architectural monuments are the first on that list. Not only adults, but even very young Polish children do know who built Malbork, that's why we preserve the castle in immaculate conditions, because it is part of our heritage; just take into account few simple factors :

- It was built mainly by pheasant community of local Prussians (tribes of Baltic region which was not Germanic) , Poles and in lesser extent Germans.
- Teutonic Knights order was German, but they used Prussians as slave workforce
- German nobles from Germany were supplying this Teutonic Knights order with funds to use them as means of conquering Polish lands and later reasoning their action as if it was done on behalf of Prussian community - indigenous people , while the facts were such that Prussians were systematically murdered by the Germanic order over the years to provide the German settlers with the fertile land as German flagship policy stated - Drang Nach Osten .

- The statement that Teutonic Knights order build castles is just a simplification used in superficial historical sketches made for popular recipients.
- Malbork castle is a symbol and a monument commemorating our great victory over the enemy,
- it serves us as a history lesson not to be merciful to the enemy, because the enemy not destroyed until the end can rebuild its strength and can hit back with a greater vengeance and power. In fact Germans did it later towards Poland.

- It was a residence of our kings for 200 years, until partitioning. When Poland reinstated its existence Malbork castle returned to legal owners, so the input in Malbork castle`s present conditions is solely ours.

Historical facts about Prussia. Some of you might not know that:
For the suppression of Prussian society, the Knights defeated or liquidated in absolute terms, the social structure of the Prussians.
Remnants of the Prussian population were used to build churches, forts and castles, which then became the headquarters of the knights all over Christian Europe.

Without the help and support of the Popes, the whole process of crusade and conquest would not be possible.
Order received many privileges, like indulgences known in middle Ages.
Together with the progress of the conquest of Prussia, cruelty combined with bestiality grew. Details of these atrocities are described in the Appeal of Prussians to the European Parliament, as well as biographies of Prussian heroes.

In protest against these atrocities and extermination of the people, in 1260, united Prussians caused a revolt against the invaders. Monte Herkus the leader of the uprising to stop the extermination of Prussia wrote a letter to the Pope offering a complete subjection of Prussia to Christian faith. The Papacy ignored the letter and still called the Knights to continue their crusades. Prussians stood to fight with all the knights of Europe, as well as Czech king and his entourage. The fight ended in 1283. The conquest lasted 53 years. It cost the Prussians the loss of about 50% of the population. Please take into account that about 10% of the Prussians during the conquest escaped to Polish and Lithuanian territories. Approximately 80 000 Prussians were exterminated during the conquest. They were also forced to take an active part in the Teutonic military "adventures" against Poland. Prussian duty was to work in the estates of the Teutonic Knights and bishops.

Economic discrimination was already well-known pledge to control and enslave indigenous people.

Nobody cared about education, culture, language or any rights of Prussians. They had no ally in their humiliation, abuse and numerous persecutions.
The seventeenth century, was the century in which the German power under the name of Prussia was established. Along with that the class of Junker landlords arrived , while indigenous people were living in miserable conditions. Such conditions together with starvation, diseases, continually were reducing the population of Prussia.

Germany brought the bubonic plague in the early eighteenth century decimated the poorest part of Prussians. Prussians were decimated and it is possible that 50% of the Prussian population did not survive the epidemic.

The nineteenth century under the leadership of Bismarck, it was a huge conglomeration of Germanic Prussia, with a number of offensive wars. The remaining population of Prussia outclasses to zero. Prussian language disappears, and with it their identity.

The entire German Prussia was regarded as the cradle of Prussian abomination among other nations. Across Europe, the word Prussian was disgusting.
But in fact, only few know, that the name of Prussia related to indigenous people, who ceased to exist on the grounds of the fact that it was done by Germans.

Today we have in Poland about 7,000 people who bear that name.

Such is the fate of Prussia, evaluation I leave with you.

I can spot a Polish women miles away ;))

The general perception of Polish look is very biased and generalized to one red neck type look of a man or some sluttish type of a woman you may find in London near Polish bars and restaurants. . Many of them would never guess that one of the most internationally acclaimed model is in fact very much Polish , having as a matter of fact Polish mother .
