I am driving to Poland from the UK on Saturday and wondered if the flooding in Poland and Germany has affected any of the main/major roads?

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to get polish TV in the UK.

Looking for all channels if possible but mainly the sports channels so i can watch the Poland National Team matches. Fed up with watching it on the internet, just doesnt work that great.

Any advice or previous experience would be a great help?

Travel / English man going to clubs in Warsaw! [8]

Hi,

Im going over to poland this friday with my fiance (who is polish) and she suggested going to a nightclub in warsaw.

I was just wondering when the polish people in warsaw or the club hear me speaking english are they guna beat me up for being English??

I will be going with my fiance and her friends.

Sounds silly i know but i dont know how polish people feel about english people.
And i was recently reading that the polish hooligans were guna kill the english people.
Realy dont want that being me.

hi,

I understand when English people are getting married in poland they need:

Passport
Birth certificate and translated birth certificate
Certificate of No Impediment also translated
Notice of marriage form

I was wondering if this is required when booking the Preist and the church or only around the time of the wedding?

And if documents are needed to book the Priest and church what are they?

Would realy appreciate the help as i am very confused.

Law / British man Marrying Polish Woman in POLAND [29]

Hi,

Me and my fiance are looking to get married next year or the year after depending on whether we can book the church, the wedding reception and the band etc.

As she is the polish one shes doing as much as she can to find out what we (Or what I will need) to be able to get married in poland.

Could anyone advise on the things I will need.
Have read a lot of threads on marriage in poland on this site however some of them are quite old and i dont know if the rules/laws have changed over there regarding what paperwork/documents i need.

I am currently a Christian however will be converting to a Catholic as i believe this makes the process alot easier with the churches over there.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Also can anyone tell me the difference between carriageways and carriage expressways in Poland? and how will i know which one im on.

My Fiancee is polish so if they are written in Polish no worries.

Are speed limits in Poland, both the motorways and in built up areas and, also in Germany on the Autobahn, sign posted well? Or not?

Do i need a green card from my insurance or something???

I am covered to drive in europe and have a european certificate but just wanted to make sure this is enough...

Havnt read anywhere that i need a green card from the insurance just wanted to double check.

HI,

On thursday this week i leave to drive to poland and wondered if anyone had any advice for this time of year?

I am driving in my Ford Focus W Reg (2000).

This is the first time i will have driven to poland.... Im not alone on the journey as my Fiancee will be with me but she hsnt got a licence so i will be doing all the driving.
