Szanowna Pani,
Uprzejmie proszę o wydanie odpisu zupełnego aktu ślubu moich dziadków Piotra Drzyzgi urodzonego 29 września 1884, syna Jana z Marianną (nie znam nazwiska panieńskiego) urodzonej ok 1890. Dokumenty te są mi potrzebne w celach genealogicznych. Według posiadanych przeze mnie informacji małżeństwo powinno mieć miejsce w roku 1908 lub 1909 w Jaśkowicach. Piotr i Marianna Drzyzga wyemigrowali do Stanów Zjednoczonych w 1913 roku. Ich synem był Theodore Drzyzga, mój ojciec. Załączam dokumenty potwierdzające moje bezpośrednie pokrewieństwo z Piotrem Drzyzgą, tzn. kopię mojego aktu urodzenia, kopie dokumentu spisowego Teodora Drzyzgi z 1930 i dokumenty imigracyjne Piotra Drzyzgi. Uprzejmie proszę również informację o sposobie zapłaty opłaty skarbowej.

Due to my age and my living in united states i am unable to come and request the records I seek for myself .I am requesting that you grant the following person to act on my behalf in requiring the transcriptions Im requesting. I thank you for your time and assistance in helping me in my quest in finding my ancestry information.

Z poważaniem,
Marylin Carol Drzyzga

Love / Concerns about Polish Family / Child Support Law [68]

wow, this is so interesting. i can see the mans side though. im an american, in america if a woman becomes pregnant a man must pay 33% of his income, 90% cost of all medical bills. if a woman gets pregnant , she can go to the familyservice office, tell them a mans name, give a last known address,(some give wrong adress on purpose) the familyservice will send him a letter said this woman claims your the father and you have 15 days to say your not or demand test, if they dont respond guess whatHE IS THE FATHER there is no changing it even if dna is proven later that he isnt, he has to pay for the next 18 yrs, and if the child goes to college another 75%of cost of education, plus 90% of any special medical needs, eyeglasses, braces for their teeth, so. it makes sense that a man be careful, i have six sons and i have told them to ask for test before having sex, and be careful to know the girl and her famiy before having sex so you can get an idea as to what she might be planning if anything. also think about it, not many woman want to get pregnat unless in a secure relationship, its hard on her and the child. i think i law is stupid it barely leaves a man anything to live on, if hes not with the mother. note same law doent apply to woman if she got pregnant and choose to not raise the baby giving it to him, she walks away, mosttimes paying nothing. its not right.

Genealogy / Drzyzga name: family information in Poland [20]

i did read the wrong line on the immigration record. as for the marriafe date, on 1930 michigan censes report has him as born in 1884, and her in 1890. also piotr being 25 when he married her and mary being 18. so that would mean they were married in 1908 or 1909. im willing to try anything, i have my birthcert on my computer, my father theodore listeded on 1930 censes, with his parents, and their immigration record, so i can email them to someone if they can help me. thanks so much for the time and effort you have spent. i thank people alot when they help me i think people forget such a simple kindness and letting someone know that you do understand it is taking time away from that person to do something nice for you.

is there another place to check for information of piotr father, jan drzyzga ? or current desendants?

USA, Canada / CULTURE SHOCK! (of my Polish finance who visited the US) [210]

i live in the us in michigan , there they bag your food, so on...i freaked out when i moved to minnesota, at the store i paid for my food, turned to tell my son lets go and my food was GONE. the casher lady gave me a card with a number i looked stupidly at her, telling someone stolen my food, she laughed no , here in minnesota you pay, they give you a number, you pull your vehicle up to the door and they load your food. needless to say i didnt like it at first but when the snow came i was happy i didnt need to fight the weather to load my food.

Law / I am married to a Polish citizen. How can I get residency? [36]

wow, so far on here everyones been so nice and helpful, i cant believe what im reading. im an united states citizen, age 70years old, my gf, gms from jaskowice, i want to come see the place my grandparents were from before i die. if anything could change my mind i just need to read the nasty rude comments. thnk about it, he was asking about living in your country, he chooses your country over america, thats a compliment. yet people responds where what kind of scam is he up to. is that what you want all americans to react when any polish persons want to come to usa, to treat you with that same disrespect? to question if your trying to run a scam, is this the way people treat eachother in poland, with suspicion, insted of welcoming a person that wants to live in your country so bad their willing to leave family, friends, homeland to become a part of your country. i hope if you ever want to come to us that you dont encounter the visa personal with your same mindset, yet if so maybe you would realize how it feels.

USA, Canada / REFUSED A HOLIDAY VISA TO THE U.S CAUSE IM POLISH [323]

ironside, i know im a little late in responding, but i just found this site. im in american. whose gf and gm are from poland. i would love to come to poland. i know nothing about immigration visa, you mentioned about stats about how many poles dont come back to poland, that noone will give you numbers. i think any one should be able to go to any country to visit, especially if they have ancestors from there. anyway here is a way you can get some stats, go to ellisisland.com, most coming into americacame through there. note the number of immigrates from poland, then go to united states naturalizion website, for people who followed though with their visas and stayed, and note list of people that return when visa was finished the numbers are horriable different. although i couldnt imagine the strenght and how brave people are to come to another county, i would freak out. my brother in law is mexican he is illigally here for 31 years, then gets druck ,drives his truck and gets pulled over the police detain him, they held him in jail for 8 months and just now sent him back to mexico, leaving his amecian wife, 6 kids, and 3 grankids. its horriable, after so long LEAVE HIM ALONE. but i would never want to be him always worrying about getting deported. america isnt not special ,at leasst not in michigan. im near chicago, and right now we in a winter snow strom 15-30 inches this last week, can anyone get me a visa to a warm country please.
