Love / Polish men what is the worst thing a girl can do upon first impression? [360]

Unfortunately for you Sokrates, I am sex on legs, and I'm also a well educated and talented young lady. It is such a shame you feel you need to castrate a woman who is asking legitimate questions about Polish culture, just to make yourself feel like you have a dick. My bf is also a chef, he's just not as good as me or as driven as me...I would like to give you the permission to shut up.

He wont change, it will get worse only with time. Run, girl, run!

gosh i didn't even think about my situation until now...it's quite bad isn't it! he started out absolutely wonderful, romantic....8 months later...hes lazy...sometimes aggressive (not physically)...moans (not sexually)...Yes, it's all a bit much. Polish or not Polish, perhaps he's no good.

NEVER let them forget that they are only guests! I appreciate all the great hospitality I get here.

i ve lived with lots of polish people, including the buffoon, and never heard any of them say anything like being a guest...sounds a bit strange to be honest but thats only cos I don't see my bf as "foreign". just his 1950s attitude stinks at times.

Actually I'm a chef and I work 9am til 11pm or midnight...he works 9 til 4 most days and claims to be more hard working. i love the guy, i just dont get the attitude.hes 30, and 30 year olds in England tend not to have such a misogynistic view on women. will he change? doubt it. i do my best.

soooooo true. When i first started going out with my Polish bf, i had to prove I could drink vodka with his polish mates (not forcibly- but he was impressed.lol), he gets annoyed when I don't clean up and I'm a chef- but he actually said to me the other day, Why don't you ever have dinner ready when I get home?!! I have a fiery temper so he quickly retracted that one. Polish men are quite traditional in their views of women...be a ***** in the bedroom and a cook in the kitchen and laugh at all of his (crap) jokes and you will be fine. And stick up for yourself. They hate that but they back down eventually.

Love / Dating a Polish guy for three years. Will he ever marry me? [44]

yeh...well mine didn't get divorced.just strung me along with sweet talk and promises for 8 months. plus he never paid child maintainence so was too much of a wimp to go back or get a divorce. It's not about being Polish, it's just some men are the lowest of the low.

Love / Can 'engaged' soon to marry Polish men say I love you to their female friend? [62]

my fiance is polish and i don't think it has to do with being polish...some men are adulterers, some are not. i would tell him that you dont feel comfortable with him telling female friends he loves them, and see what happens. he trusted you enough to give you his password, so he's either a lazy adulterer or he's just telling the truth that he loves her as a friend. follow your gut instinct...women know whn men are lying yes? x As an soley English speaking person I find it hard sometimes when I don't know what my Polish fiance is saying to other Polish women...but you really shouldn't be worried if you know that he loves you romantically. I love my male friends and sometimes say Love You without thinking- just casually! Maybe I'm a bit too relaxed about these things though. If you feel hurt...move on. Good luck x

Love / Polish men - dont realize any of this [24]

I think you are definitely pigeon-holing Polish men here. Ive been out with some real nasty men- English men, and to be honest, men are always going to either be nice or nasty- same with women. And some of them start out romantic and then get bored. It doesn't matter what nationality. The thing that did ring true, is that I have been with my Polish boyfriend now for 6 months and yes he does drink too much and smoke too much and likes sex a lot- but he still brings me flowers every day, holds my hand, makes me laugh, and works damn hard in a country he didnt grow up in. So I think you should stop being so naive and find a man who treats you with respect, wherever hes from. Or stop marrying fish and paintings...either way ;)
