Language / have a sip - Chcesz łyka? [56]

I correct in his own language. A prime example would be poszłem instead of poszedłem. Keep suckling the teet, tit.

yeah I know you know more Polish than average Pole and definitely more than me. Your 'making' "chcesz łyką" as want a sip made my brain fry, what is the fcukig going on, its like some Pole in UK would try to make such thing just because something sounds a bit similar, just like saying my circus of friends instead of circle of friends. People complain that Poles dont know English in UK and here we have a teacher who made such a basic mistake

Never heard during your 5 years stay 'chcesz łyka'?. Even in pub or home?

chcesz łyką instead chcesz łyka still don't see mistake?
try pronounce these two words - łyka and łyką, still no different?
these two sound completely different and chcesz łyka is a very common sentence. I would be in trouble if spell beach and bitch incorrectly

it's the present subjunctive or 2nd conditional.

So an you a speak a mostly an English a with an your a wife? in Poland? nice, I don't want to be rude but I have a strange feeling she could be other version of Justysia but more mature. I could understand this if she practise English but from what you have wrote it looks not that way. Another Pole who don't want to be Pole? No wonder you don't speak Polish

5 years in Poland and speak no Polish, that's a great achievement, congratulation teacher, you can teach people but can not teach yourself?. Staying in foreign country with foreign wife and speak to her in English, how rude.

Work / Why Poland employers are afraid of hiring any foreign nationals? [171]

Yes I do...but your idiot above said Polish English teachers are better than Native English teachers.

Try imagine Russians back to soviet era employing Amerians to teach English.
It is a whole packege so they have tried to avoid native speakers unless there were commies

Nobody would say that native spekers are bad teachers but they bring a whole package if you know what I mean

Conrad was very heavily edited, and many many passages in his works are suspiciously similar to his wife Jessie's prose style.

If you are trying to make a point I am afraid you have failed
Read 'Linguistic Influence of Polish on Joseph Conrad's slyle' by Mary Morzinski. East Eureopean Monographs, volume III. 1994 Columbia University Press, New York.

Life / Gran Torino - Walt Kowalski, the movie [39]

yes, but these choices, even hard, can be made only in countries like US/Canada/Australia
not in homogenious ones like in Europe.
Walt finally accepted that this country is for everybody who is decent.
US have no problems like the these in Europe

UK, Ireland / Time for the Poles from the UK to go home [437]

Some Britsh now hate the Poles more than they hate the muslims or the asians, that is the truth.

until the next war in Europe you are responsible for this mess,
- first for false promises to support Poles against agressive nazi Gemany in 1939. If you have not intended to help us what for make such promises, we would have choose diffrent strategy to deal with nazi Germany and communist Russia if we would know we can't get suport from UK and France. Probably to avoid war we would be on Germany side against Commie USSR or gave them part of Poland

and
- second for selling us to commie Rusians after ww2 ( Yalta agrements - doesn't ring a bell? )
after we fought in large numbers on every posible corner of Europe on your side

Seanus, this is a direct consequence of degradation of Poland after WW2. Everything what communist Russia touched changed to a pile of sh..t. next when you have a vaccum and such disproportion in wages you will get that result.

I am waiting Cameron to get the power, he will deal with this problem in professional way.
