Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

Do say it. I don't care if its corny...

Here's my ten cents

It doesn't matter what people's manners are like. It only matters whether you like them or not. Manners are only what we use to judge people we don't like. People have used the whole manners thing as an excuse to hate since the start of time.

Its all about having the ability to tolerate differences in ettiquate (cant spell that stupid french word) There is no common courtesy except that you don't kick someone in the nuts or steal their stuff or bone their girl friend the rest is just whimsical. They are just notions. If you cant tolerate, do yourself a favor and put yourself in a place where you can

Life / Reasons for moving to Poland [291]

I have a son who's half Polish and I like the idea of him growing up in a society that's new and exciting and on the up. I'll be staying in Warsaw. I miss Ireland but its not far away.

News / Poland's Economy Is No Joke [63]

There are children not getting school dinners, hospitals on the brink of bankruptcy. It,s hardly the same as screaming about not having ENOUGH money. Theres NO money. So staff, ie. doctors and nurses are working without being paid.

That could be any country in the world at present

Life / Do you think a smoking ban would be a good thing in Polish restaurants and Bars? [217]

Public = free?

Thats not what he said bull frog. He said public 'areas' are places where you don't have to buy anything. He wasnt talking about public 'transport'.

What a redundant argument. You know he's right. By your argument you could call a train or a bus a pub. You are actually contradicting yourself.

Life / Lack of Spacial Acuity in Poland [69]

Oh well. It's not a big deal to me.

Thats the proper attitude. I'm Irish and live in Warsaw and I'm sick to death of hearing expats moaning about the same things over and over. I always change the subject when people start this now.

Ive lived in France and Korea and China and expats do this there aswell.....

Change the record.

Also, how annoying to use a word, spacial acuity, and then explain it without being asked. Why use the word at all? How arrogant.

independent.ie/opinion/analysis/smoking-ban-leaves-any-compromise-out-in-cold-2007139.html

I'm sitting in a bar in Warsaw, drinking a coffee, reading newspapers on line and smoking cigarettes. And I can tell you one thing for nothing -- it's a beautiful thing not to be treated like a flea-ridden pariah.

UK, Ireland / A collection of noimmigration's threads or "STAY AWAY from BRITAIN" [978]

The Brits make me laugh. They spent the last thousand years going where they werent wanted and now that they only have their stupid little country left, they get mad when people come there.

I cant understand why anyone would go there. Bad food, bad schools, bad teeth, bad weather. Pork scratchings. Cant speak their own language properly.

The number of people crammed into each square mile is due to overtake levels in Holland and Belgium - and may already have done so.

Misinformation Alert. Holland has 393 per km2. Britain has 244.
So it definitely hasn't already done so. You may interpret 'due to' any way you want.
