The first Pole I had was pretty fine, infact was like a dream, except for the end. But the one I've been friends with, I've took her to concerts other side of the country, and paid everything, bought her some gifts, always taking her by car into the city and paying for drinks, cinema, etc. What do I get back? The Ukraine girl I met, was proper Ukraine, ie. not Russian, dark features, gorgeous dark hair and dark eyes. lovely girl. Was just friends with her but she let me go to kiev and just stay at her flat for a week for free. the most friendly, hospitable, lovely girl, you could ever wish to meet.

It was just how she expected me to pay for everything, and used to laugh at me, saying things like, i can help you get a girlfriend, haha. and little comments like, 'everywhere you go with me is great huh'. she just thought she was so great, funny really, she wasn't so pretty. The Polish girl I was actually with seriously was tall, fair hair, truly gorgeous, and she had hang ups, about her boobs and things like this. Yet she was the pretty one. yeah it's all life, I wasted my time with an absolute time waster, who was pretending to be interested in something with me, then even denied that. Some girl on this board said a while back she was a time waster and I wish I listened then, and I'd told her to Feck off, but I gave her chance, and all I could do in the end when she stopped talking, was to send her an e-mail telling her what I thought of her, being a timewaster, selfish, etc.

One thing I've realised from some experiences this last year, I have to stop analysing myself and how I behave, because I try to be decent, and I've realised it's perfectly natural for people to fall out, and fight. It's human, and I have to stop feeling bad about that if it happens.

Well the ex Polish girlfriend of mine, got with black guy after me, probably the fact he could get her US citizenship when they marry was an attraction too, and low and behold, they plan to marry, lol. Actually I knew her 7 months, meeting for that time, and she gave me her e-mail, telephone number, home address. I was just meaning after 7 months, she started dating someone and didn't want to even give me her new number and address as she moved. The reason I felt she was a time waster was because she was once asking what I thought to her and asking if I want to kiss her, we did then kiss. Then she just changed the next few months and started being funny with me, teasing. That's why I felt she was a timewaster. The absolute complete silence is the one thing I saw in common with the Polish girls, something other girls haven't done as much as the Polish ones, for sure. oh i think they are fine deciding by themselves to be silent. This last Polish girl I knew, I was meeting her once and she was laughing that she would ignore me one day. And she also said another time while laughing, that she was always the one who ignored the guy first, and she looked so pleased with herself. She was kind of at that 'up herself' attitude sometimes. It's interesting you said that, I suppose that caused my logic of then, at a later date, bringing her opinion of herself down by telling her she was not special. Also about the spinster analysis, this I can relate to the girl I speak of. She said to me she's a princess and picky, and about marriage she was saying she doesn't mind if she stays alone forever, and that it's quite possible. The UK was equal with the US in beating the Nazis. I'd hand the biggest contribution to the Russians. Take a look at the history. We were the first to defeat the nazis in the battle of Britain, and fought equally with the US in the push into Germany at the end. We were never going all out to beat the nazis, we were about defence mostly. But, don't downgrade our effort below that of US! Russia, then fair enough!

Only if we had an army with the same numbers as yours, which we didn't at that time. It's about numbers, something many fail to see for some reason. Considering our numbers, we did well to fight equally with US to invade Germany. Always remember the Luftwaffe were beaten by the Brits in an equal fight. But the German army was far larger at that point in time. If we had developed a huge army like the Nazis had, then there would have been a more equal ground fight between UK and Germany.
