I think that if someone decided to live abroad should not complain about chosen place of residence. I mean he can but it make him ***** - Wroclaw Boy comes to mind.

for crying out loud ! When people learn - according to the standards of his times he was Polish as he was subject of the Kingdom of Poland.
What his ethinc background was nobody can tell for sure.
To think about somebody from the past in the terms of the modern concept what the nationalty actually means is a big mistake.
Anyway what is it ?popularity contest?

What do you want to achieve cutting trees lower?
The best way to make a clear space for power cable is cut down trees - making clearing !
If you are sure of it.....it means trees are growing too close - you need to make a space for them cutting down some of the trees.
haw(głóg) - produces fruit rich in the vitamin C , eatable fresh, better in jar with sugar.
reed - during spring and summer eatable inside of the stem - white soft
stuff -fresh!
mulberry - not native Polish but grows here and there .....
larch - beautiful tree, great wood for wooden building - very resistant !
Autumn is the time for mushrooms but if you don't know about mushrooms ....don't try with a book .....

I wouldn't been so sure, there were cases that overconfident town dwellers had a one mushroom too many.....if you catch my drift ....!?
Fact, for Brits there is only one place to get mushrooms - shop ...

During proper winter in the forest you don't have insects, mud and you have nice animal track visible on the snow surface !
Forest during a winter time is much more open for human, and I like it))))))))very cozy, protecting against the wind!
Forest in every season has it advantages and disadvantages but I like the most forest in winter!
Grow great garden for your grandchildren to enjoy ))))))
