Then I'd rather not be bestowed with your ignorance either GZ. You could have just refrained from making an entry if you had nothing to say, but I suppose that's your way of seeking the attention you never get anywhere else.

Fin T, that's a great idea!!

This is for EVERYONE. Since one of the things I do, is event planning, (quite big in the USand UK) I was anyway thinking of setting up a few things and sending out invites. I'll be in WAW by the end of next month and would love some input from members here...We could definitely have a dinning evening like FIN suggested, and to make things interesting we could do something monthly with different themes according to people's interests/liking. Not sure what kind of response we may get, but will definitely try and set something up...

Thanks everyone, for your suggestions on the stores. Its great to see such wonderful people out there, can't wait to come :)

Yes, well aware of the fact that Poland is different, but indians (or south asians) are also in russia, romainia, germany and other places in stark contrast to their homeland.

Oh and while english is difinitely a major plus in any country we dont always prefer the climate to be hot, infact quite the opposite, run away from it at any given oppertunity!

Work / Poland Work Permit / Study Visa Processing Times [191]

Actually its even easier than that... the company simply waves its magic wand, sprinkles some fairy dust and make it appear out of thin air ;)....

*sigh* unfortunately its not that easy...anywhere...

The whole process can take about 60 days (sometimes more). The company applies a request for a work permit and after 30 days or so they recieve the approval which one has to then take to a Polish consulate outside the country and get it stamped on the passport. This is what was explained to us, my husband is currently undergoing this process and I'll update you as soon as we hear anything..Good Luck :)

Hey Zara,
Lol@ your indian-store-in-poland-looking-up person! It was much easier to ask here than perhaps wear a sign of it on the streets, although desperation might have resorted me to doing just that ;)

-Have to say, the people here on this forum are great and very helpful!A big shout out of "thank you" to all of you!

Regarding your other question, my religion is the religion I formerly call "Islam". As in, i'm muslim, but do not recognize what this religion has been made into today, a complete mockery, in the hands of some ppl that have truly disgraced it!

I actually respect the religion of every nation, as the basics of all relgion has the common traits of tolerance, respect, morality and acceptance.

Presently I'm in Warsaw and find it to be wonderfully historic with some beautiful churches and parks. So if ever you're, here do come visit, maybe we will start a venture together :)

Dear laydeezee92 doesn't matter which religion iman should be honest etc...
Any one knows what's religion???

Poly, I agree with you. Also, I think, religion should always be a private thing whether someone believes in it or not. I also agree that for each individual, religion means different things. It is much more important to be a good person, whether those values are inculcated from one's family, friends, school, other cultures or religion, is secondary.

OMG Have you found any halal stores in Warsaw?! :O
We found NONE in Krakow!!!!

Don't eat Halal, so not a problem there :)
Btw, Polish food is GREAT though, simple yet flavorful ...I already have a favourite which is Barszcz Czerwony with dumplings, *YUMALICIOUS* and i dont even like vegatables! Ive heard a lot about Krakow, we will be making a trip one of these weekends..

Life / Driving test, English speaking driving school in Warsaw? [95]

Thread attached on merging:
Driving Schools In Warsaw

Hello,
I have a question. Just was in touch with the Instructor at IMOLA driving school, which offers english speaking classes/test. Is this the only english speaking driving school in Warsaw? Wanted to look around and speak with another agency. IMOLA will be charging 2000 PLN, plus exam fee and fee for tranlator at the day of exam!

Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thank You.
