however tell me just what percentage of abortions in Poland

Given that most abortions connected to PL are either done discreetly or abroad, I doubt such a statistic exists.

Regardless of whether you or I support it, the decision to continue with a pregnancy or not is a woman's. No reason needed - only the wherewithal to go to a clinic.

The rest will be in institutions, and yes, some will die.

Developments in medicine are having their effect in the UK. People who once wouldn't have survived past infancy are living longer and having utterley wretched lives. Not just people who can't make eye contact for three seconds, people who literally don't know they're alive, but people who do have some consciousness and survive to some point in childhood or adolescence in constant pain.

It is an act of cruelty to use science to prolong the lives of people in that situation.

Winters can be cold there - right now it's snowing in Warsaw, and late winter isn't the best time in PL. Make sure you take some warm clothes. Good shoes and socks are important!

You sound so pathetic that I feel sorry for you.

He does, doesn't he.

I'm sure that whatever present you take will be appreciated, and I wish you all the very best in Poland.

wines,

No alcohol, no cigarettes. That wouldn't go down well, especially if it's the first time you've met them. Chocolates are usually well-received - get them at duty-free when you're travelling. That or a framed picture.

History / Historic Polish-Japanese intelligence cooperation [21]

Why then Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian last breath came out because of Serbia?

Don't be silly. Nobody cares about Serbia.

Japan and Poland however have decent trade links. Cultural links less so, since Japan has a very rich and complex culture.

Historic Polish-Japanese intelligence cooperation

The two countries enjoy warm relations and have done for a long time. Not just symbolic things like The Emperor's visit to Warsaw or President Kwasniewski's visit to Tokyo, but tanglibles like trade links and joint educational initiatives.

In diplomacy nothings is accidental. Shinso abe revived message. That message is- possibility of assassination and isolation of Japan.

Rubbish. Serbia is an irrelevance - nothing said there or about it has the slightest interest to outsiders.

News / If Russia liberate Scotland, what would happen with Polish workers in Britain? [60]

I know a couple of English people who voted for independence

So do i, people who live in Inverness but are from England and voted SNP and for Yes.

they want political independence, but without any of the nastiness found elsewhere

They're very good. I'm a Unionist, however I sometimes think that NIcola would make a good leader of the whole UK. I doubt she'd be up for that ;-)

in the event of Russia 'liberating' Scotland

It's hard to imagine anyone who would relish the prospect of being 'liberated' by Russia.

Yup, absolutely no arguing here about the referendum.

Quite - relations within mainland Britain are very civilised in contrast with some parts of the world. The Catalan referendum and the arrest of the Catalan leader surprised many used to the freedom of the UK. It's very hard, even impossible, to imagine Nicola Sturgeon or Carwyn Jones being jailed.

I suppose the general lack of nationalism among the population as a whole have something to do with that, as well as those people, myself among them, who have family members from and in more than one of the countries that make up the UK. If the vote had gone the other way, I'd have a fourth passport.

As for former Yugoslavia, what happened there is a permanent stain on the perpetrators.

So much hate there - I suppose when everyone's pwned them at some stage, there's a lot of hatred in there.

One contrast between the civilised bits of Europe and Serbia - Scotland held a legal referendum, with free and fair elections and a very high turnout, with the wording of the ballot agreed by the SNP. There was never any question of the result (whichever way it went) being ignored, And certainly no question of an invasion, mass murder of civilians or servicemen and no rape camps either.

A shame (and yes, I do mean shame) that Serbia did this in Bosnia.

We have high opinion on ourselves and low opinion

I don't think anyone is very interested in that...

As I remember, some Scottish regiments were among the most effective soldiers on peacekeeping missions in Bosnia.

Your media gave you false info

Russia tried that one.

Play on that Russian-Polish thing, don`t you?

Because by and large, people in Poland hate Russia.

Serbians? In general? Loved by Poles.

Nobody thinks about Serbia - it is an irrelevance to the world, a loathed and pitied backwater.

So Serbian asses are whupped by free world

Indeedy doody.

Polish asses

You do realise that you started the thread about illegal Russian interference in elections - which didn't work in this case. Not Poland at all.

And Poles do viscerally loathe Russia, and have no love at all for their donkey Serbia.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2986]

Some clinics in e.g. Görlitz and Frankfurt (Oder) have more Polish than German patients.

Most clinics near the border almost certainly do, and I remember reading that in the UK, 20% of pregnancy terminations are for patients who are Polish citizens.

People are committing crimes

Not a crime in either the UK or Germany.

And of course the thousands of doctors who carry out the procedure discreetly in Poland. Not that discreet always, since they advertise a 'full range of services'.

News / WOSP in Poland [161]

They are not intended to fund the mass purchase of medical equipment for use in public hospitals.

WOSP certainly does. Plugs a gap that the state in Poland can't fill.

As long as it works, i dont see a problem with it.

Quite. It works and nobody else is rushing to equip hospitals in PL.

News / WOSP in Poland [161]

I can't understand why this has been allowed to effectively replace the central funding of medical equipment from the government.

It hasn't really, though they do plug a gap. Think of Children in Need, Red Nose Day or ITV Telethon.

The current government don't much like it due to pressure from religious bodies unhappy that WOŚP is secular.

Nevertheless, WOŚP is hugely popular in Poland and does a lot of good.

What I hear from people reflects more what the graph says than what you say

Indeed, there is little appetite from women to make the current strict law any stricter. And judicial oppression has never stopped women in Poland from getting a foetus flushed out if that is what they want to do - the doctors who perform the procedure advertise in newspapers and online, plus anybody who has a bit more cash just pops to London.

Evidently far, far more than yours if you think that women:

can easily pump out five children

screechy feminized countries

You were saying...

Spare us your crocodile tears.

There you go again.

I wonder if you really pretend to think that women

can easily pump out five children

I hope not.

Anyway, a woman (not that you have much or any experience with those if the quote above is anything to go by) and a woman alone chooses how many times she gives birth.

Yes. Voted. Democracy in UK is famous.

It is indeed - free and fair elections, and no doubt at all about the referendum result. Incidentally, the ScotNats are no longer calling for a referendum - polls show that the result if one were held now would be even stronger in favour of remaining in the UK..

For lies on Serbs

Truth, Crow, truth. Rape camps and mass murder of civillians. Until the free world whupped your asses.

Evidently the different parts of the UK prefer to stay together. Unlike the former Yugoslavia who want as little as possible to do with the corrupt, violent and venal Serbs as possible.

It's amazing how women in Africa

That would be the same Africa that has the highest infant mortality rates in the world.

Far from 'easily'. Not 'pumping out' either.
