Why Do You Love Poland?

Lyzko 45 | 9,438

And yet Poland may too have to swallow a bitter pill for the luxury of her long-cherished isolationism in the ongoing battle for the fight against diverse populations in her midst! Provincialism, no matter how picturesque, sometimes comes at a high price!

@Lyzko

We already have a prosperous economy so its worth the price. Besides, were open to migration as evidenced by the Ukrainians and others coming in. However we don't want a flood of young uneducated unskilled men who refuse to assimilate and abide by our laws and culture

As to your last sentence, I honestly couldn't agree more! On the other hand, do you want to risk throwing the baby out with the bathwater?

Something to consider:-)

Were not. Indians Pakistanis and Christian Iraqis and Lebanese have come to pl. Same with Chechen Muslims. But were not gonna take in people we don't want and open the floodgates and even take people without id's who we have no clue about like other countries did. Also, we took in a million Ukrainians so for now were good on more migrants

The asians that come tend to be students engineers it pros and people.who help Poland while.ukranians have taken many lower skill jobs but are increasingly becoming wealthy and buying property and their own businesses

@Lyzko

Yes. They DON'T BELONG THERE, PERIOD, FULL STOP. Not agreeing to embrace multiculturalism does not make them bad people, it doesn't make them uncaring, and it doesn't make them racist. Not everyone has to agree with the neo-liberal dogma and talking points, thats the wonder of having 190 countries on Earth, a different flavor for everyone. The idea that Europe has to be this monolithic borg hive mind is absurd. You like those migrants who hate our culture? Open up a spare bedroom in your house.

By making yourselves in Poland so damnably attractive to "others", shouldn't y'all therefore expect they'll be breakin' down the doors to get a piece of the action too??!

Think you're being a bit unrealistic about the expectations of foreigners from poor countries coming to Europe hate to say it:-)

Why would Poland be attractive to them? Poland does not give large social welfare payments, or free flats to economic migrants and fake refugees. Poland values its culture and defends its Christian values strongly. Why would they ever want to go to a place like that, when they could go to Germany where the citizens are begging to bend over and have their culture destroyed. Much easier to go there, get big welfare payments, and rape German women en masse.
Lyzko 45 | 9,438

Why???

Try beautiful, unspoiled nature (some of the last wilderness on the European continent!), gorgeous women, high quality produce, a fairly high standard of living, not to mention centuries' old cultural traditions along with music, art, architecture as well as literature, plus some of the most inventive cinema this side of the Vistula!!

That's not attractive to some down-on-their-luck Third Worlder, lucky to have ever had even an outhouse, a roof over their head or a decent job???!!

gorgeous women,

Fact!!!

That's not attractive to some down-on-their-luck Third Worlder, lucky to have ever had even an outhouse, a roof over their head or a decent job???!!

Not when they can get all that PLUS free money, free housing, etc. and do whatever they want without the society doing anything about the rapes, terror, marches promoting sharia, etc.

Is there any thread that you're not going to spam with you migrant fixation? Granted it's an important issue but it doesn't need to be discussed on every single thread.

It's a reply to lyzko discussing 3rd worlders...

It is arguably the most important issue facing Europe right now.

Yes it's important but there are threads about it - your obsession with it is spoiling a nice forum - just like the flame wars between Harry and Polonius used to. Im sure there are other forums just dedicated to that kind of stuff ?

Actually I read few first pages of this thread and it struck me how great the posts were.
As for me, well Poland is part of who I am - the customs, the traditions and the people. Not always perfect but of the same kind.

defends its Christian values strongly.

No, it doesn't. You're mixing up rhetoric with reality.
Dirk diggler 10 | 4,585
12 Dec 2017 #555
Reality is theres many public Christian holidays poles have off like corpus Christi unlike the eest, church is involved in politics and schools to an extent, and the recent Sunday shopping law. Not to mention Christ was officially made king of Poland and the independent e day March theme was my chcemy Boga

Christ was officially made king of Poland

Who's next in the line of succession?
Dirk diggler 10 | 4,585
12 Dec 2017 #557
No one - Jesus is king for as long as Poland exists. Just one of the many ways in which Poles are happy to have the Catholic church involved in our lives. Don't forget most people attribute Christianity and JPP II's mass which a million Poles attended as the beginning of the end for the commies. Christianity has always been a powerful force in Polish society and we like it that way. Even hardcore PRL commies would secretly baptize their kids.

Who's next in the line of succession?

No one in your life time so the best thing for you to do at this point is to open your heart to Him as He is the only One to offer you your salvation for eternity.

Just one more reason that I love Poland is because of their strong Faith that can't be rocked by a pagan Brit.

Being a good Christian aka Catholic means following the tenets of "Love thy neighbor". The question remains as to whether any nation which so staunchly defends the letter, though not always the spirit, of their faith is in the end Christian or HYPOchristian!

Many Catholics defend antisemitism as part of the ritual of being a good Catholic. Although not a Catholic myself, I strongly beg to differ. So would Jesus, I have little doubt.
Dirk diggler 10 | 4,585
18 Dec 2017 #560
'love thy neighbor' would be far easier if they're not trying to blow you up and rape local women.

Also the whole turn the cheek thing doesn't mean take **** from people, let alone twice. When a person would slap another theyd use their right hand. By turning your cheek you make it unable for a person to slap you again unless they do it with their left hand. In that society slapping someone w your left hand makes you the *****, not the person you slapped.

What kind of a Catholic defends antisemitism?
You know strange people, Lyzko :S
Lyzko 45 | 9,438
18 Dec 2017 #562
What is your definition of "strange", kaprys? Gotcha that time!

A religious, that is, staunch Roman Catholic must by definition of pre-Vatican II prinicples accept the doctrine that the Jews killed Christ.
Heck, your Pope (and a Pole, no less, Karol Wojtyla!!) even apologized to the Jews for that centuries old heresy. Far be it from you to judge differently.
Dirk diggler 10 | 4,585
19 Dec 2017 #563
I dont recall jp2 apologizing to jews for that. He apologized for the treatment of jews, muslims, etc during the inquisition. The bible states that it was the Jews who sentenced Jesus to death but Roman soldiers who actually killed him via crucifixion and finally a spear. The crowd was given a choice whether to put a thief (barabus i believe was his name) or Jesus to death. They chose Jesus because he was a threat to the rabbis. Even pilate said that he didnt think jesus was doing anything wrong but didnt want to upset the establishment. Jesus criticized the rabbis and jews for turning a holy temple into a market amongst other things. Never get between a jew and his shekel lest you be crucified...

Then they wrote about how Jesus is boiling in excrement in their Talmud...

@Lyzko
I was being sarcastic. It's unbelievable how biased against Catholics you are. It's unbelievable how you keep playing the victim card at the same time. And it's hypocritical to accuse others of prejudice being so prejudiced yourself. I'm sick and tired of you repeating the same overgeneralisations over and over again. Well, if you say that antisemitism is part of Catholicism, I assume there are antisemitic Catholics among people you know. And if there are such, then yes, you do know strange people.

As for John Paul II, he was a great human being. You should learn from him how not to judge people on the basis of their religion, you little biased man. He was raised Catholic and had Jewish friends for all of his life- since his childhood in Wadowice. That questions your theory of antisemitism being part of Catholicism, doesn't it?

As for Mea Culpa, that indeed is part of Catholicism. Perhaps you should think about it, just to have a look at your own deeds and opinions.

Are there antisemites among Catholics? Yes, there are. The same applies to Protestants, Muslims, atheists and so on. Do some Jews, like yourself, are biased against Poles/Catholics or Muslims, atheists etc. - certainly.

It's a pity you seem to be the only Jew here, as with such an attitude, you yourself are an argument for antisemites that Jews hate Catholics or Poles.

Do you happen to know any Jews who are open minded who would like to join the forum and help some learn about Jewish customs, traditions and religion as I'm pretty sure there is more to Jews than what you keep talking about: antisemitism and Holocaust.

THANK YOU kaprys.....
It won't do any good though because some people are blind & deaf & so thicked skinned that reality bounces off them because it is all about them.

They come at you with the, "We Jews are the chosen people" cop out B.S.
I tried a month ago and it didn't sink in then either.

Because one criticizes someone or someones doesn't mean one's anti-that group, does it?
kaprys 3 | 2,245

Well, it does mean so in many cases. I believe that's the case here, too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Bible says somewhere that the Jews are the chosen people. If this is the case, you cannot call it B.S., Johnny.

yes Jesus definitely said 'love thy neighbour as thyself' and i think it also applies to neighbours who happen to be Jews or muslims
