Israel opposing potential new Polish law to criminalise term 'Polish death camps'

Of course none or very little would likely go to families of victims.

But what would be in it for PiS in this case? That's what I can't figure out - they've got nothing to gain domestically by handing over cash.

Absolutely agreed on the question of who sent him and what his mission is. He didn't come here on his own accord, that's for sure.

This might shed some light on it - talkradio.co.uk/news/israels-trump-supporters-faced-hellish-abuse-its-all-worth-it-1611166732
- and especially this - jewishtelegraph.com/prof_364.html

It looks like he's been interestingly close to the hard right of the Republicans for a long time. No wonder the nationalists are concerned - having a British-Israeli Jewish guy with deep connections to the US and Trump at the very heart of the Polish government is going to raise eyebrows.

Someone really needs to do proper research on this guy. I don't believe most of what he says.

He speaks no Polish (in the few interviews I was able to find on youtube) and everything about him screams 'fake' and 'conman'

Couldn't agree more. The more I looked, the more questions I have about him. It's particularly weird that there's no trace of his father, despite him supposedly being a business broker, whatever that means.

The Jews of wartime Europe had no place to turn

That's because no one wanted to help them. Even when Pole (think his name was Karski or Krasinki or something) went around the US going from politicians to military figures to even Hollywood and explained how the jews were being treated they simply didn't believe him. Or, they simply didn't care. Don't forget that America refused refuge to Jews up until the very end of the war. America didn't want to be dragged into the war just like they didn't want to be dragged into WW1 although the balfour declaration changed that, but that's another story.

If anything, we Poles were the one of the very few nations that actually helped them from the very beginning. And what do we get in return? Our most patriotic soldiers and officers from the AK killed... the same organization that set up Zegota to help the Jews and raise awareness.. This is why the whole topic of Polish-Jewish relations during WW2 and the early PRL years is such a touchy subject for both Poles and Jews.

As far as USA, today Jews who receive holocaust reparations are able to deduct that from their taxes. Blacks receiving reparations from slavery, victims of commie regimes, and anyone else receiving reparations all are unable to - only Jewish holocaust survivors are able to.

Of course none or very little would likely go to families of victims.

Supposedly the majority of holocaust survivors living in Israel are pretty poor. They likely received tens of thousands of dollars, but certainly not hundreds or millions..

:)

Sentence ended with a smiley in which you describe recent death of your sibling demonstrates what kind of troubled individual you are... I'm glad I don't know you in person :-/

TVN has its faults but is more likely to report on failures as well as successes.

Perhaps you could show us TVN reporting a success made by PiS, we're very interested in that.

Sentence ended with a smiley

That was for you - a peace offering:) I forgot that English is your second language, so probably you didn't get the nuance. I made an opinion about the topic; you joked about "old" people with dementia. I asked you politely not to - that was the order of things. My brother was 62 btw, so it could happen to anybody. Nothing to laugh about.

Next topic?

English is your second language

Where does he live? I can't imagine anyone taking part in any kind of English speaking culture and not understanding your intent.... it speaks to a profound failure to integrate at any meaningful level.

It is very Polish, when someone points out something wrong a person did but instead of apologizing that person goes on the offensive...

They applied the same tactics and set up the federal reserve in the early 1900s i believe 1914.

You're talking about America again. I asked why it was in your opinion that Jews in Eastern Europe were less integrated than Jews in the West, meaning Western Europe.

Reform Judaism has its roots in the 18th century Age of Enlightenment as it's known which was a cultural phenomenon throughout Western Europe, not anything to do specifically with Jews. It's the roots of our more liberal way of thinking all over the civilized world. It touched Judaism as well and resulted in the Haskalah movement and as early as the 1820s there were Jewish communities in Western Europe with mixed seating in the synagogues, no circumcision, etc. Eastern Europe was a different kettle of fish. It's an interesting subject and worth studying in more detail. You should consider reading Haskalah and Hasidism in the Kingdom of Poland - A History of Conflict, if you want to be better informed and more knowledgeable, you know, have some in depth knowledge.

it is likely the British told them not to pursue their deserters

Actually the British military police offered to send any discovered deserters back but Anders refused the offer so the British decided to reduce the number of Jewish immigrant licences to Palestine by the same number as the deserters.

And let's give a mention to the 30,000 Jews who volunteered and joined the British forces in Palestine. In fact that's where some of the Anders deserters ended up, serving with the British.

Then don't stoop to the same level. This law is about the stigmatisation of a nation by the actions of a few.
Bieganski 17 | 890
9 Feb 2018 #581
There is no stooping.

The only shrilly critics of Poland's new anti-defamation law have been anti-Polish, Jewish supremacists who worship themselves and their Zionist stooge supporters who worship Jews and Israel.

So of course Poles will be stigmatized for rationally defending Poland's good name and putting Poland first (rather than putting Jews and Israel first). And who is doing this "stigmatization" anyway? The usual irrational, extremist, sinister, narcissistic, Jewish supremacist, Zionist cult found on both sides of the Atlantic.

Like a fanatic in any cult you demand those who don't share in your Zionism to either convert or remain passive and silent.

I am still unsure why after 60 years did the government feel it necessary to pass this new law.....has something really happened to make this all necessary and do the majority of people in Poland want this. There doesn't appear to have been much widespread discussion on this topic prior to the new law, so why was it necessary to introduce it?

It does seem to have stirred up a hornet's nest of discussion, accusations and shouting backwards and forwards.......I am not sure if the PIS really envisaged this backlash and probably regret their actions now. I think there are probably many other laws the PIS could introduce to address the needs of the Polish people but haven't yet. Unfortunately this will dominate politics for some time I am sure, which will of course push other important issues into the side lines.

That's what I can't figure out - they've got nothing to gain domestically by handing over cash.

Well I don't think they realised Daniel's presence would lead to that at first. It could be they assumed he was just a go-between guy for Poland and Israel, to help create a better relationship and some business ties. I doubt they ever had any intention of handing over cash. In fact, who knows if this law wasn't created as a partial defence mechanism against any attempt to extract money from Poland? It could be they started to smell a rat with Daniels and Israel trying to get so cosy with them and reacted. Or it was a law they planned to make from the beginning [since they got in to power].

I am still unsure why after 60 years did the government feel it necessary to pass this new law

It's probably a law that should have been passed, at the very least, by the end of the Soviet occupation of Poland. Unfortunately we haven't had a government [including 05-07 PiS] who had the common sense to do it. Singer's words at a World Jewish Congress meeting in 1996 ['They're gonna hear from us until Poland freezes over again. If Poland does not satisfy Jewish claims it will be publicly attacked and humiliated'] should have rung alarm bells and a law like this should have been drawn up immediately, so no Jewish organisation could ever place blame on the Polish nation as a whole, in order to extract compensation. It's more difficult to demand money from a nation who was also a victim, with some bad applies in it, than one that basically took part in the Holocaust.

Steve Sailer has written on occasion about how incompetent Jewish conmen seem to be able to temporarily rise to dizzying heights before the roof caves in on their fecklessness... like Efraim Diveroli a Miami hustler who somehow got a $300 million deal from the Pentagon to supply the Afghan army with weapons and tried to use obsolete Chinese ammo to do so...

The few seconds I was able to watch Daniels I kept getting a heavy Diveroli vibe... in over his head and hoping those on the various sides won't make him for the empty shirt he is.

Correct, Atch! Conservative Judaism though had its roots in the New World, that is, in North America, brought to the States by a German-born rabbi, David Einhorn, who advocated a less literal, freer interpretation of the Talmud!

Small wonder, as German Jews were always more assimilated than, say, Polish, Russian, or Eastern European Jews, typically from poor shtettl communities.
Dirk diggler 10 | 4,585

Unbelievable.

Did you really expect different from Zionist Israelis?

It's more difficult to demand money from a nation who was also a victim, with some bad applies in it, than one that basically took part in the Holocaust.

Hasn't stopped them from trying to sue Poland as a nation numerous times.

This is how the Jews looked in Poland -

jewishsphere.com/JewishCustoms/JewishCustomsPoland.htm
kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/sanok/l
rarehistoricalphotos.com/daily-life-warsaw-ghetto-1941
pinterest.com/pin/229191068507624816

Clearly not the definition of assimilation - most Jews didn't speak Poland, were not integrated into Polish society, did not attend Polish schools, and the more religious ones would purposely go out of their way to avoid goys - unless it's to of course harm, kill, steal, etc.as the Talmud commands.

Now how could a Pole possibly hide any of the people in the above photographs? If it wasn't the distinct facial features like the nose, eyes, curly hair, etc. that'd give them away, it'd be their lack of polish - and even if they knew polish (which most didn't) their hardcore Yiddish accent would immediately give them away. And if all that failed a quick check of a man's member would be the ultimate test as Poles aren't circumcised. Not one person the above photographs even looks remotely Polish.

These people were not Poles in any way, shape, or form as they didn't speak Polish, didn't have Polish blood, didn't assimilate into Polish culture, and most importantly the majority fought AGAINST Poland and its legitimate government and the armies it commanded. Poles do not fight against their own people and country.

"the Polish law spits in the Israeli people's face".

Good. Let them know that Poland doesn't appreciate their meddling and they're not going to write our laws for us. The least Poland and Poles as a people can do is spit in their collective faces for what most of them (not all of course) did to our heroes and their betrayal of the AK by siding with the commie USSR and even before that the Bolsheviks.

I think living in Poland, having citizenship, a passport, paying taxes and being bound by Polish law probably makes a good case for them being Polish.

You do realise that there are still jews in Poland ?

It could be they started to smell a rat with Daniels

That might actually be an explanation - there was no action regarding the law for months, then the American Senate passed that S.447. It would explain why PiS were digging in over the law in the face of huge pressure, because they knew fine well that they needed a defence against it. Clearly Daniels knew nothing about it, too. It might also explain why the opposition chose to stay more or less silent.

I think we can agree that paying cash would be a massive vote loser in Poland for any party, right?

From what I can see, it makes perfect sense that PiS would have regarded Daniels as a very useful link to Trump, and the cosy relations with Israel were obviously part of that. But then the American Senate pushed through that S.447 mess, and PiS reacted pre-emptively against it. It seems quite plausible that PiS were frightened that the Americans would demand a ridiculous amount of cash, so they wanted something to protect themselves with.

The few seconds I was able to watch Daniels I kept getting a heavy Diveroli vibe... in over his head

He's in way over his head on this one, and he's been forced to publicly apologise to Jaki for spreading misinformation too. I suspect he'll vanish from the public eye sooner rather than later, just like you say. I wouldn't be shocked to see him turn up in somewhere like Croatia in a few months.

WielkiPolak It's more difficult to demand money from a nation who was also a victim.

Ok thanks for the history behind this new law it is helpful.....so maybe it is predominately about compensation and how the new law could on one hand address the Polish concerns and in doing so cause difficulties and future changes to the payment of compensation....

While even Ambassador Azari and even Netanyahu both agreed separately that Poland never "instigated" the events leading up to or during the Holocaust, there were numerous Poles who gladly turned in Jews (both partisans and others) in exchange for the peace of mind of payment, much of it generous indeed:-)

The Nazis counted on this, therefore led a successful Poland Campaign, and in fact, exterminated the bulk of Polish Jewry.

Poles SHOULD feel at least historically, if not collectively, responsible for such events as wartiime Jedwabne, but especially post-War Kielce.
Bieganski 17 | 890

Jews SHOULD feel historically AND collectively responsible not only for not helping each other out but most importantly of all for not helping out their Polish neighbors.

Clearly the Nazi's accurately counted on Jews not fulfilling their part of the social contract when they invaded Poland.

hold your horses.funny, how this pogrom is being used by Jewish to slander Poland but:
until now, even Jedwabne has never been investigated properly.and this is because jewish lobbies has been successfully blocking exhumations.
you guys keep throwing Jedwabne left and right, has any of you know anything about this?
who is Herman Schaper?
do you actually know that this Nazi commando leader was charged for instigating pogroms few miles away from Jedwabne just 3 days earlier?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Schaper

"The entire Einsatzgruppe employed the same, systematic method of mass killing across many Polish villages and towns in the vicinity of Białystok. Schaper's murderous rampage south-east of East Prussia is fairly well documented, and included Wizna (end of June), Wąsosz (5 July), Radziłów (7 July), Jedwabne (10 July), Łomża (early August), Tykocin (22-25 August), Rutki (4 September), Piątnica, Zambrów as well as other locations.[1]

The methods used by Schaper's death squad in these massacres were identical to those employed in Jedwabne (a few kilometers distance) only three days later. Schaper denied the charges,"

what we have? testimony of one jewish SB and nkvd officer Szmul Wasersztajn, who was wanted for war crimes he committed in the area.but found refugee and protection in Israel

how many of you know that there were bullet shells found next to grave?which clearly says that German commando did the killing.
for now, there was no proper investigation done cus traitor Kwasniewski decided to kneel to jewish lobby
