Arrests made in Poland for Hitler birthday celebrations

For those unaware, TVN recently released footage of a group of people celebrating what would have been Hitler's 128th birthday, in some woods in Poland. The footage was apparently obtained early last year, but strangely they decided only to release it now [perhaps they were trying to pick the best time to try and shame Poland?].

Three people from this event have been arrested and charged. Of course the foreign media has been quick to latch on to the story, to try and show Poland in a negative light again, even though there were probably no more than a dozen idiots at this event.

The Times of Israel was particularly quick to try and stir the anti-Semitic pot again.

timesofisrael.com/three-arrested-in-poland-after-far-right-celebration-of-hitlers-birthday/

In the article above, they quote Leslaw Piszewski, president of the Union of Jewish Communities in Poland, who slams the Polish authorities for not doing enough to tackle anti-Semitism in the country.

The article also quotes World Jewish Congress CEO Robert Singer, who basically says anti-semitism is rising in Poland and incidents like this are not a rarity.

They also mention the Polish Independence Day march and once again repeat that there were xenophobic signs and anti-Semitic slogans [even though there were literally a couple] in that march, trying to re-state how awful Polish people are.

Look, it's a stupid thing to do and the people involved should be punished, as the prime minister and justice minister have said, but the attempt to once again try and tarnish the country is starting to get tiresome.

Boo ho a big ado about nothing.
Who cares what some morons do or what some morons had been put up to by some 'journalists' do?

I don't understand why gov is so easy riled by that and why is reacting like crazy. That new gov is sh.. methinks.
If it comes to upholding the law in Poland there is a new party that is openly communist, attracted quite a few members and nobody bated an eye, they are a legal party. So much for the law.

Is Morawiecki a political moron?

Why is this the best time? I agree with Ironside. This is a Daily Mail type story. Don't give the morons the publicity that they seek (and oft-times Jewish authorities also play this up needlessly).

If this were Germany then imprison them, but let them have their wankfest and let the mosquitoes bite them in the ass.

I think that one of the reasons the story is of interest, is that it's quite bizarre to find anyone, no matter how few or how deranged, celebrating Adolf's birthday and dressing up in Nazi uniforms, in a country which is presently demanding war reparations from Germany.

I'm pretty sure that the people celebrating Hitler's birthday have zero connection to the politicians claiming reparations so it really isn't bizarre at all.

No doubt there will be people in the UK AND Ireland who would also participate in this twisted celebration.
Atch 22 | 4,124
24 Jan 2018 #6
I don't think they're connected with PIS. What I mean is that it's odd to find people celebrating and glorifying the Nazis in a country which suffered so terribly as a result of being occupied by them. As for Ireland, a better analogy in terms of the level of weirdness would be the idea of Irish people celebrating Oliver Cromwell's birthday and dressing up in Roundhead uniforms!

To be perfectly honest, most of the filmed footage I saw looked staged, as if they were performing for a camera.

Well it's quite possible that they wanted to film the occasion, one of those special moments you treasure you know 'ooh let's watch the Hitler birthday celebrations again darling' :D

looked staged, as if they were performing for a camera.

I didn't watch the entire footage, just had a glimpse on it, but also had the same impression. There are people in Poland who say that all this has been planned and realized by the security forces. And it is quite easy to imagine someone developing such an idea in order to shed bad light on the present governent. And engage some morons who adore Adolph Hitler and who would buy anything for giving their consent to be filmed.

On the other hand, the PiS gov't has been building an excellent background for such an action over the last year or so. The morons from that group were precisely the ones who hanged the portraits of the PO members of the European Parliament in Kraków and the gov't spokeswoman Beata Mazurek was then telling everybody who wanted to listen that she condemns such a deed, but in she understands it in a way. What a moronic thing to say that! And there were many other instances in which the gov't (and most notably Zbigniew Ziobro as Justice Minister) was clearly excusing the actions of people forming this small Nazi group. Now the gov't is drinking what was perhaps prepared for them as a poisonous lotion

but in she understands it in a way.

Not moronic at all... Not an usual act in post0comie castrated Poland but - why the hell not>?After all those people in question (MEP from PO voting against Poland)are traitors no doubt about it. Even if the law doesn't recognize that fact. Some people do and have the right to express their opinion.

I don't understand why gov is so easy riled by that and why is reacting like crazy. That new gov is sh.. methinks.

a] I think the government has always condemned this sort of thing - it's just troublemakers and lying media who try to act like they don't care about it and allow it to go on unpunished. They weren't really riled by it - they had to react. I know a few yobs being stupid might not be a big deal, but can you imagine if they had said nothing about it? Think of the media storm, not just from anti-Polish domestic media but also the foreign media, who were just waiting for the government to do nothing, so they could say that this must mean they agree with it.

b] So you don't like this government or just don't like it since the reconstruction?

Why is this the best time?

Well this isn't the best time. There was no best time. They were probably looking for a perfect time to release the footage and hit PiS hard, but couldn't find it, so after holding it for almost a year, they just decided, they might as well release it.

In hindsight, they're probably kicking themselves that they didn't release it just after the Polish Independence March. That probably would have been the 'best' time, when Poland was being attacked for having anti-Semites in the march.

To be perfectly honest, most of the filmed footage I saw looked staged, as if they were performing for a camera.

This shouldn't be ruled out.

Perhaps the planned dismantling of Hitler's birthplace in Braunau, Austria will put an end to such festivities once and for all!

Regardless to this topic, I was listening to RT this morning, some guy from USA says that the biggest problem of racism are precisely the societies and associations dealing with stopping it. He says they get big money to fight against racism. When there is no racism, they do not have a job and they don't get the money, so they are looking for racism there where there isn't any. The same can be said regarding NGO's against "antisemitism" in Poland.

Yet you can't seriously compare Roman Dmowski's "Kwestia Zydowska" with the impact of "Mein Kampf, can you?

Total thoughtless morons they are. There are other things, I'd say about them, but I'd get censored.
And knowing what Nazis did to Poles, their deeds show what they think about Poland.

The Nazis typically referred to the Slavs in general as "Untermenschen", although the epithet of "vermin" was reserved for the Jews, both Polish as well as foreign-born. Hitler saw the Poles, for instance, as not much higher than four-legged animals, at the same time, as useful slaves for the Reich, being as they were perceived as simple, yet strong and infinitely child-producing.

Such "accolades" weren't accorded the Jews of Poland, seen more as filthy pariah than anything else. Only the latter were automatically slated for immediate extermination as "useless eaters", since the Germans didn't see "value" in them, looking upon them as parasites on society and little else.

Why don't you just stop? Poles suffered because of Nazis, both Polish Jews and ethnic Poles. Millions of fatal victims, millions of forced labourers, 200000 kidnapped Polish children, robbed museums and galleries, ruined cities and the list goes on.

nothing strange..there are alot of weirdos in this world.

what is bizzare that libtards think they can win some sympathy and support by defining right wing voters by those weirdos.
those libtards are already saying that some lone weirdo dancing in woods , dressed as Hitler is result of kaczynskis politic. mad

I would hope they would have done a more convincing job of it. To me the footage looked like a bunch of not very good larpers (larp = live action role play) the one guy couldn't even goose step convincingly and the dialogue was very.... not so credible with big doses of 'ooooh listen to meeee I'm so eeeeevil' thrown in.

And lord knows I'm not a supporter of PiS but holding them responsible for a handful of weirdos playing dress up in the forest doesn't make any sense.

The whole thing is just stupid and watching reports about it and listening to politiicans blather about it makes me feel like I'm losing brain cells.

TVN recently released footage of a group of people celebrating what would have been Hitler's 128th birthday, in some woods in Poland.

Seems to be a set-up by the globalists. I'm afraid these madmen will come up with far worse things in the future.

World Jewish Congress CEO Robert Singer, who basically says anti-semitism is rising in Poland

As it is "rising" again, again and again, one could wonder If it can rise any higher :)))

What I mean is that it's odd to find people celebrating and glorifying the Nazis in a country which suffered so terribly as a result of being occupied by them.

So go and type "Neo-nazis in Israel" into google.

@kaprys, I've always been on your side, so go chill:-)

You've been agreeing with essentially everything I've been saying, so where's the problem? To be sure, ALL Poles, Croats, Russians, and Ruthenians suffered big time under Hitler, which is why the sooner the local fathers of Braunau am Inn do their job and tear down Hitler's birthplace, the better for everyone!

If you think I have been agreeing with you, my English must be terrible.
Telling people to chill usually annoys them so you're trolling or your social skills suck.
As far as I know neo-nazis don't need to visit his birthplace to celebrate his birthday or support his views.

Is nationalism really more toxic than religion?

Fundamentalists of any religion seem at least as bad (probably worse) than most nationalism

These guys don't look very diverse or inclusive... maybe they should attend cultural sensitivity classes?

satmar meeting

What type of primitive tribalism is this?

muslims only sign

Or this?

non-hindus not allowed

Why encourage this kind of thing?

We should be so glad that there are such smart people in the world like Jon and mafketis, who 'know' that religion and patriotism are stupid.

How do they know? Because they are sensible - much more sensible and intelligent than us lowly gullible herd.

By the way, can we keep this on topic? This is about the people who celebrated Hitler's birthday, yet mafketis despises religion so much that he is trying to turn it in to a religion bashing thread.

Jon and mafketis, who 'know' that religion and patriotism are stupid

I would never say either is 'stupid', far from it. The results for socieites where either is too weak are not very good.

I think a moderate degree of nationalism is desirable and good and necessary for a society to survive.

Some kind of religious observance is also good, when either become too strong the results are pretty terrible.

I was venting at the moral hypocrisy who openly deride nationalism while giving religion a free ride.
