The shame of Duda making late night visits to Kaczyński

If any president (not only of Poland) wants to talk with someone, they do not need to go anywhere, they just call ;). Even presidents have a private life and time off so they visit friends and relatives, they go to movies, on vacation, shopping ....... Let's be serious!

anti PiS media would kick up

Indeed, poor Duda has already got a taste of the PO(O) PiS-bashing hate industry in action.

So perhaps he made the visit to a friend late at night so nobody would see as he knew what a needless storm the anti Duda anti PiS media would kick up.

Why couldn't Kaczyński just visit him in the Presidential Palace?

He was not visiting officially as the president of Poland.

He should know better than to try and sneak off to Kaczyński's house in the middle of the night. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Kaczyński visiting him like a normal person in the Palace - but this shows the real client/vassal relationship. If Duda wants to be a real President, then he should act like one - not like a stooge who has to make sneaky visits to Kaczyński.

Duda really needs some sort of director of protocol to help him - he keeps making embarrassing mistake after embarrassing mistake.

First of all, it's absolutely shameful that the President (and Head of State) should be making visits to anyone like this.

I agree. That was pathetic. I hope it will influence some Polish preferences during elections.

Kinda like hoping on any chair in sight and doing a little dance on it? No, I don't think so, only potential looser incoming election are getting cold feet and some are panicking, even hysterical, so they make no-stories a big story full or drama and Delphi is chirping in with his own.

Not quite, the previous president was a clown not Duda.

No, Duda is just a spineless fool who does what he's ordered to do, mainly because he knows that Kaczyński will throw him in front of the State Tribunal if he doesn't comply.

No evidence of that because it's simply not truth.

mainly because he knows that Kaczyński will throw him in front of the State Tribunal if he doesn't comply.

That doesn't make a bit of sense. Kaczyński can't do feck all to him.

Course not. That's why he pardoned Kamiński instead of respecting the legal process, that's why he refuses to follow the rulings of the TK and so on? We all know he's a puppet, come on.

That doesn't make a bit of sense. Kaczyński can't do feck all to him.

You're not very familiar with the Polish Constitution, are you?

Kaczyński got him to break the law. Now he's absolutely at his mercy because the charge of "refusing to follow the order of the Constitutional Tribunal" would be easy to stick.

Only KOD supporting clowns have the knowledge of such a bizarre things.

You're not very familiar with the Polish Constitution, are you?

I am familiar with Polish Constitution unlike you with your limited Polish language skills.

Kaczyński got him to break the law.

He didn't have to, PO did exactly the same thing before and the European parliament didn't care about it, why? Because PO was on the left enough so looks like they had the right to do so.

I think we all saw how Duda paid a late night visit to Kaczyński.

I am familiar with Polish Constitution unlike you with your limited Polish language skills.

So, what part of the Constitution do you need explained, given your unfamiliarity with the State Tribunal?

He didn't have to, PO did exactly the same thing before and the European parliament didn't care about it, why?

Kaczyński knew exactly what he was doing. He knew Duda owed his Presidency to the Dear Leader Chairman Kaczyński and thus he knew fine well that the choice was either to refuse to obey the TK's ruling or face the wrath of the Dear Leader Chairman.

There is no part I don't understand and if there was, the person who doesn't speak Polish would be the last one I would go for explanation.

Every sane person knows including Duda that it was necessary for the radical changes that Poland needs after 8 years of PO ruling.

Everyone knows that it's completely absurd for the President of the Republic to be visiting a minor member of parliament late at night.

There is no part I don't understand and if there was, the person who doesn't speak Polish would be the last one I would go for explanation.

Obviously you're struggling to understand it if you can't see how Kaczyński can (with the help of Kukiz) send Duda straight to the State Tribunal.

Every sane person knows including Duda that it was necessary for the radical changes that Poland needs after 8 years of PO ruling.

Every sane person knows that Duda is just a puppet who will certainly enjoy prison life once we get rid of this pro-Putin government.

minor member of parliament l

Also a good friend from way back. Is it so strange to visit a friend in his home regardless of professional titles?.
What is strange is you so obsessed and preoccupied with just another "minor member of parliament".

Panovie, panovie, i see this thread against brat Duda. Why? i for sure can`t imagine that somebody followed Duda at night and now accusing him for something. it was some late party eventually. maybe some nice lady waited for Duda at Kaczyński`s appartement? what`s the big deal?

delphiandomine

delphe prijatelju, i am shocked that you rise these kind of questions

I'm proud of Duda. He can actually speak an eloquent Polish. Komorowski and his "szogun" and the language of "margines" is thankfully a thing of the past. :D

What legal process? That kind of nonsense when a heavily involved in corruption and in hiding MP is being freed after few hours in jail and a person who had been in charge of the unit that has been hunting scum like that got a sentence after four years of the mock trials by some idiotic punk who biased his judgment on the miasmatic farts from his corrupted ass. Meaning thieves are free to go and a policeman are being charged? Where in that is the legal process? Eh?

Stop spewing crap!

to obtain his orders

Never heard of email or phone? Even if Kaczyński (as you probably claim) isn't into such hi-tech gadgetry, he has a staff to assist him. It was probably a friendly visit.

Neither of those are regarded as secure forms of communication. Face-to-face in a controlled environment is. And of course it means that there is nothing in writing and that any dispute over who said what will always be the word of that cat Duda and that of the Dear Leader Chairman Kaczynski and whichever of his puppets he tells to support every word he says.

Harry, can you imagine any other European president making a late night visit to a minor MP with no official governmental position?

@Delph! Don't always see bad things! Politicians have private lives and they are allowed to meet their friends, relatives, neighbors...whenever they are "off the floor" just like anybody. If Kaszynski and Duda for instance want to talk to each other, they don't need to meet, they can call each other, send sms's, mails.....

I don't see what bothers you about that!

They meet at night and so what? Maybe they were too busy during the day or maybe they are ... lovers and they are allowed to be ;)

In fairness, can you imagine the great de Gaulle making a late night visit to any mere parliamentarian? They would get the call from and get straight in the first car to Élysée ;) If one wants to be President, one has to behave like one.

1. de Gaulle was not that great and I'm sure you would not have liked it that much (a lot in common with ... PiS ;)) and 2. who knows? You don't know, I don't know, and nobody will ever know...

making a late night visit to any mere parliamentarian

This is what it's all about. Macierewicz cutting keys to the NATO office in the middle of the night, Kaczynski summoning his poodles Duda and Szydlo in the middle of the night, secret underhand meetings of the Kaczynski Gang - all done under the cover of darkness.

They seem to be taking the concept of Ciemnogrod a bit too seriously...

middle of the nigh

You forgot Tusk conspiring in the middle of the night with Katyń-deniers and martial-law backers like Kwaśniewski and others with things on their conscience in the nocturnal coup of June 1992.

We now know why you read Gazeta Wybiórcza. That's where you get your selective memory from.

After all, we aren't talking about former governments decades ago, are we. We're talking about Kaczynski and his puppets Duda and Szydlo.

Indeed that concept is very much attractive. After all we all know who regardless of the rhetoric agents of the dark side of power spew (jon) is in fact a dark dangerous force that need to be excorticated from their lies and expose to the sunlight. At that point it'll disappear in the puff od smoke.

Not to the majority of people in this country, it isn't. And the minority who voted for PiS (demographically less well-educated) if they understood what they might end up with would doubtless change their minds.

8 years of PO-style Jasnogród is a bit much to take!

"demographically less well-educated" a slippery road when one sets himself on the high ground of education to belittle the knowledge and experience of others
