Yalta Conference and Polish Government

Hello,
I am a college student writing a paper and speech about the Polish government at the Yalta Conference. I was wondering if I couldn't get any more information about what the Polish people thought about it. I know that the British (the guy I'm assigned for the Conference is Eden the British SoS) originally supported the Lublin Poles but then switched to the London Poles.......I'm curious about what the Polish people back then would think about either having a Communist government or having the London Poles in charge, seeing as it seems that the USSR will likely get Poland in the Conference, well part of Poland since it's a good bargaining chip. Also, if Polish names or cities are mentioned, it'd be super awesome if I could get the phonetics! I took Russian but the Polish alphabet is a bit hard for me to understand so phonetics would be great.

It seems like from what I've read that the British don't really care since what actually happened at Yalta was that Poland became a communist puppet state. So, Imd love if I could get some ideas about whether to try to make Poland a communist state like it was or if Poland should be governed by the London Poles.

I think that's about it! Thanks in advance for your answers! Feel free to ask me questions if you need more information or clarification.

They did but they were in no position to do anything about it.

f Poland should be governed by the London Poles.

No such thing as "London Poles" It was the legitimate free Polish government in exile there was no legitimate Polish government in Poland until 1990 when the legitimate Polish president exiled in London handed over the insignia of office of the second republic to the democratically elected third republic .

The puppet soviet government was never recognised by the vast majority of Polish people.

Okay, thank you dolnoslask! I wasn't aware about that; all the papers I've been given have all talked about the Polish government in exile and referred to them as the London Poles.

Polish government in exile and referred to them as the London Poles.

There was a reason for that, a great deal was to do with left wing communist propaganda in an attempt to make the legitimate government of Poland appear remote and distant as to what was happening in Poland.

Do your research but also look at British politics and political leanings of academia that wrote "papers"at that time , investigate the infiltration of communism into UK educational establishments, just dig a bit deeper , your paper might just be something "Different" and unique in its approach to "london Poles"

Good luck.

the legitimate government of Poland

Which free and fair elections had that government won in order to legitimate itself? Isn't the reality that that government was a self-appointed body which was nothing more than the descendant of the military junta which ruled Poland in the 1930s?
