Me and my friend who lives in Poland want to exchange candies from our respective countries, I live in America and am wondering what american candies do they not have in Poland and what would they appreciate? Twizzlers, Swedish Fish? she likes mint flavor things so if that helps please let me know of anything you can think of. Much appreciated

There's very little American candy available in Poland. I haven't eaten much American candy but I find it very sweet and sugary, a bit lacking in flavour, so I would just suggest that you buy the very best quality American stuff, rather than the most popular. Polish candy and chocolate are generally very good quality and pretty delicious so you have a high standard to meet :))

Twix, mars, snickers, bounty, kit kat are all present but beyond that not much (I haven't lived in the US for a long time so I might be out of date)

Thinking of things that aren't much like things available in Poland...

3 musketeers
red hots - the idea of hot and sweet is very not within the Polish conception of the universe
lemonheads -
milk duds
candy corn
twinkies (not candy but it's mentioned a lot and she might not realize how weird/nasty they are)
moon pies
butterfinger
tootsie roll
fudge (make sure it's well sealed)
pixie sticks
caramel creams
watermelon stix

As I said I'm out of touch with the current candies so my list might be dated...

Just to be picky - you know how much I enjoy correcting everyone about everything :)) but none of those are 'American' (well except for Snickers I think). They're all Biritsh products, manufactured under license in the States. However, they may taste a bit different due to using to using local ingredients. For example, the milk used would affect the quality and taste of the chocolate. Cadbury's chocolate definitely tastes different depending on where it's made.

I was assuming that some of them weren't American in origin (which may be why they're available in Poland) I was thinking 'easily available in America'.

What about the rest?

Also..

Jawbreakers!

The candies with baking soda inside? (I've had something like that in Poland though it was different)

Those big swirly multicolor lollipops?

Salt water taffy?

Chick-o-sticks?
