Amen and Hallelujah, brother. Can I get another witness? We're being forced to commiserate with the ungovernable, and it's getting old.

Look on the bright side, with various posters changing their usernames more often than they change their underwear, it was getting hard to keep up with what their latest usernames were if one wanted to use the ignore feature on them, meaning that the ignore button wasn't worth clicking anyway.

Come on, Delphi is your friend, how can you talk about his secret in public ?

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. But that's OK, given that I have an identical amount of interest in what you are talking about.

Come on

Come on! Well done due to your tendency to use explicit wording - that thread is closed. WFFF you even bother to post here? Sok?

So, what happened to Ignore Button? Was it abolished? Why?

Merged: Reinstating the ignore button?

So with the return of some infamous trolls, wouldn't it be nice to reinstate the Ignore button?
C'mon Admin/Mods/Gods of PF, do us all a favour and make this place enjoyable for constructive posters. Ones who do not flame, troll or dispense with racist slurs willy-nilly.

The racism, bigotry and homophobia has increased yet again and while Mods do what little they can, many posters are either not being caught or aren't being dealt with harshly enough. We even have banned users coming back under new and original names.

Wouldn't it be better and far more enjoyable for all if we could just turn off their white noise?
The technology exists to ban IP addresses, can't it be used here?
I know this forum is old and a very early Web 2.0, I think a cheap migration to Wordpress or something similar would help out a lot.

As everyone seems to be ignoring this thread, I take it the mods have acted on your helpful suggestion.

'dispense with' means 'to get rid of' btw.

I love you.
You make my heart thump faster in my chest every time I see that you've replied.

Thanks. I could see everyone had been ignoring you and didn't want you to feel in any way 'left out' or 'lonely'.

I'll happily renew my lapsed gold membership if the ignore button can be returned. Anybody else feel the same?

The thread was posted in the News / Politics section, so it has to be ignored.

Can we have a like button too? I'd have clicked the like button on that post if there was one to click!

I am hoping that admin or mods will see this. I have PM'd two mods in the last week and have not heard back a thing.

Can anyone tell me how to put a forum on ignore? The one about partners and such, you know where random idiots ask how they can meet a Polish girl? How can I not see these on the list of new posts?

A like button would be a good idea.
It's an easy way of telling a poster you agree with them, which is a nice way to build a bit of a community spirit here.

Can anyone tell me how to put a forum on ignore

if only that was possible eh?
What a dream world that would be.

I think we should have a rating system for posts from 1-5

Then people can see how awful everyone thinks their posts are and how awesome mine are.

(funny word "awe", if it's full of it it's "awful" but if there is only some it's "awesome")

Does anyone know why the ignore option is not available? Most forums I am on, and the one I modded for were V-Bulletin. It is a great format and super easy to do with it what you like.

Does anyone know why the ignore option

This forum is ancient and doesn't have the functionality I would presume.
Cannot understand myself why they don't migrate to a newer service.

So, not only are you an expert on English grammar and Polish farming methods, but you can also tell people how they should run forums.

You don't actually do anything yourself, but only tell others what you think they should do.

You write in the style of a backwards child, yet offer your services as a proof-reader.

Anyway, have fun.

I think I'll press the ignore button on this forum.

*like

You have hurt my feelings, how will I ever recover?
I'm off now to listen to some Toni Braxton and weep into a bottle of 1997 Bourgelais (not a great year, but not a bad year either).

I am curious since I am not this forum very often, do the mods and admin actually check in here and answer question like this about the forum? Or even answer PM's?
Harry

do the mods and admin actually check in here

Yes, that much is clear.

and answer question like this about the forum?

That depends on what the question is and what you mean by 'answer'.

We have quite a busy time lately- sorry for that. No you can't ignore any forum category or certain threads. You can however use checker- when you set it up to your own liking and press it after that you will see every post made in the category you chose (news, politics; sport, recreation and so on)
