I'm trying to understand how the village of lekawica (50 miles east of krakow ) was affected by the german and russian militaries during wwii. I can't find anything on the net or at my library. Does anyone know of a book I can buy or other source which might help me? Our family lost contact with relatives at that point. Thank you.

You are right, there doesn't seem to be much on the net about it.
In this link under XX and XXl Centuries, there is some information about the tragic event which occurred there in 1939, but you may have already read this.
